The locking portion engages with the locked portion along a lateral direction of the buckle assembly when the second buckle component is mated with the first buckle component along a mating direction. The operating component is partially embedded in and partially exposed out of the second buckle component. The operating component is slidable relative to the second buckle component. The operating component drives the locking portion to move away from the locked portion for disengaging the locking portion from the locked portion during a sliding movement of the operating component relative to the second buckle component. The present invention has advantage of saving labor and easy operation.

The press switch includes a push knob, a covering member, and an elastic member. The push knob has a pressing portion, a resting portion, a depression, and a second locking portion. The first locking portion is locked with the second locking portion, and received in the depression. Thus, the user only needs to press the push knob to unlock the locking hook member and to release the safety belt latch structure, such that the safety belt is released quickly. In addition, the press switch is surrounded by the base, such that the push knob will not be contacted due to impact, thereby preventing the locking hook member from being unlocked from the press switch.

Accordingly, the present invention provides a vertical-pin type releasably-lockable device that has the required secure attachment to the operator's body, but wherein the operator can manually vertically withdraw the vertical-pin portion of a releasable-lockable device to quickly withdraw himself/herself from the leadwardly tethered aquamarine equipment whenever the operator somehow discerns a perilous condition.

The spaced relationship of the first and second projecting portions from the base portion provides an access slot for fastenable materials or objects.

Owing to this structure, the tongue can be firmly held without play and the buckle can withstand large forces and moments applied thereto by way of the tongue.

Abstract: A buckle for receiving a tongue. A pair of helical springs are positioned between a latch and a main body having first slots for receiving one edge of a reinforcement plate pivoted downward depressing the latch springs and snapping into place into a yieldable hook shaped portion. A push button is positioned between the reinforcement plate and the cover having a skirt interferingly extending between the plate and main body securing the assembly together. The plate includes a pair of legs extending on opposite of the tongue mouth and into the main body transferring plate load into the main body of the buckle. The push button includes two legs fitting adjacent and inward of two arms of the latch in turn limiting outward travel of the button legs. An alternate embodiment includes a third leg depending from the plate.
