    Abstract: A push to install, quarter turn to release fastening system includes a fastener having a plurality of radially extending frustum-shaped projections spaced along a shank and a pair of diametrically opposed ribs extending along the shank forming smooth surfaces outside the periphery of the frustum-shaped projections. The receptacle includes a split cylinder forming a pair of spring latches that are displaced to permit entry and captivation of the fastener. When the fastener is turned 90.degree., the ribs displace the spring latches to positions out of engagement with the frustum-shaped projections to enable removal of the fastener from the receptacle.

The cavity extends perpendicularly into the interior of the female plane faced segment with a space congruent with the stem. The cavity has elastically deformable walls and on one of the external walls of the cavity an anchoring opening for the widened end of the male stem of the other plane faced segment.

    Abstract: An attachment device for enabling an article to releasably be secured on a person has a stud, a plate member and co-operating portions on the stud and the plate member. The stud includes a part circular flange with a flat portion along its periphery. The plate member includes a lead-in channel extending from an edge of the plate member towards an opposite edge of the plate member, a part-circular reception portion extending from the channel, and a tongued portion extending from the reception portion in the direction of the reception portion but spaced apart from the reception portion. The stud and the plate member are engageable and dis-engageable by a sliding action. The co-operating portions allow the stud and plate member to rotate and to be held together until they are subjected to a dis-engaging sliding action exceeding a predetermine value.

    Abstract: A spindle nut remains attached to a dye spindle for repeated dye operations and includes radially projecting cam surfaces for successively guiding and locking a lock ring against outward movement relative to the spindle nut at the beginning of successive dye operations. A pressure plate engages the outermost yarn package on the dye spindle and a tube is fixed to the pressure plate and extends outwardly about the spindle toward the lock ring at the beginning of each dye operation, terminating in spaced relation from the lock ring. The pressure obtained during each successive dye operation moves the pressure plate outwardly until the tube engages the lock ring to hold the yarn packages on the spindle during dyeing.
