Abstract: A mounting device or clamp is provided that can be secured to a roof joint without damaging the roof joint. Two roof panels can be joined at a roof joint that extends away from the roof. The clamp has a body with a slot to receive the roof joint. An insert of the clamp is rotatable relative to the body from a first position to a second position. The clamp body can be positioned over the roof joint, and the insert can rotate or pivot from the first position to the second position relative to the body to secure the clamp to the roof joint. In one embodiment, a body of the clamp has a first arm that is concave and the insert has a concave portion to engage the roof joint. Alternatively, in another embodiment, the insert can be connected to the clamp body such that either a first projection or a second projection of the insert faces a roof joint.

Abstract: An outer-hanging touch apparatus is hanged on a display apparatus. The display apparatus has a front surface, a top surface, and a rear surface. The outer-hanging touch apparatus includes a touch module and a hanging assembly. The hanging assembly includes a hanging member, an adjusting member, and a driving member. The hanging member is fixed to the touch module and extends to the rear surface. The hanging member includes a guiding structure. The adjusting member is slidably engaged with the guiding structure. The adjusting member abuts against a junction between the top and rear surfaces. The driving member is engaged with the hanging member and the adjusting member for moving the adjusting member relative to the hanging member. When the adjusting member moves toward or away from the touch module along the guiding structure, the hanging member correspondingly moves away from or toward the top surface.

Abstract: This disclosure provides a portable shopping aid used to mount a shopping list, coupons, or other documents. Contrary to conventional wisdom, the aid is configured to sacrifice a writing surface in favor of portability, by providing a small body that may be easily inserted into a pocket or handbag. The body includes a clamp for mounting the aid onto a push bar of a shopping cart, for hands free viewing during shopping, as well as a document clip mechanism that clips documents by their ends closest to the push bar. In order to provide structural rigidity to retained documents, and notwithstanding the absence of a writing surface or clipboard, the clip mechanism is configured to crease documents. The shopping aid also includes feet for standing the aid upright, on a flat surface, and means for mounting the aid magnetically on a refrigerator wall, in all cases such that retained documents are presented in a convenient reading orientation.

Abstract: A method of releasably securing an article with an audio recording includes handling a binder clip having audio circuitry with recordation and playback capabilities. The binder clip includes a pair of actuating arms and a gripping portion. The audio circuitry is in the form other than that of a cell phone attached to the binder clip. The method additionally includes compressing the pair of actuating arms of the binder clip above the gripping portion to expand the gripping portion and inserting at least a portion of the article into the gripping portion. The method further includes releasing the actuating arms so that the gripping portion grips the portion of the article inside the binder clip and recording audio onto the audio circuitry.

Abstract: A roofing clip and connector for retaining metal roofing panels to the purlins of roofs comprising a rigid clip piece in the form of a folded piece of material with a loop in the vicinity of the fold and a constricted area between the loop and the folded ends of the materials, with holes to facilitate attachment of the clip to the purlins, and with the upper fold of the clip having an upturned segment more than 69 degrees at the end thereof, and a connector to be inserted into the clip, with a tab extension extending laterally from the connector.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an improved paper clip which is suitable for holding documents of different thicknesses. The improved paper clip includes three elements, which are a first clipping piece, a second clipping piece and a support beam. The first clipping piece is formed with a sunken slot therethrough and is connected to a bottom side of the support beam. The second clipping piece has a bending curve part and is connected to a top side of the support beam. The bending curve part is partially protruding into the sunken slot and is roughened to become a rough surface for increasing friction to tightly clamp documents. The inner surface of the support beam is a flat plane so as to provide a guiding function when the document is received between the first and second clipping pieces. The first and second clipping pieces are both adjoined to the inner surface of the support beam, such that the outer surface of the support beam substantially forms part of the outer contour of the paper clip.

Abstract: A system for binding books includes a flexible binding material in the form of a stud having top and bottom caps. The stud is inserted into signature staples that protrude from the body of the signature to form stud holes. The binding material can be any material that is extremely flexible, including silicone, metals, etc., as long as it allows the signatures to open in a lay-flat manner either at the signature interfaces or in the body of any signature. The flexible binding material can also be used to temporarily bind pre-punched pages of a book by inserting the flexible binding material into the pre-punched holes to facilitate lay-flat opening of the book.

Abstract: A clamp for clamping sheets and like material has opposed elongate clamping jaws mounted for pivotal movement between a clamping condition and a relatively open, released, condition, and a latch device for effecting movement of the jaws. The latch device comprises a member of channel section within which an upper part of the jaws is mounted whereby opposite sides of the member co-operate with the two jaws, and latch levers pivotal between a stable latched position and a released position. The latch levers are linked to the jaws by a screw mechanism and co-operate with the member of channel section such that movement of the latch levers to their released position effects relative movement between the jaws and said member to enable opening of the jaws. Adjustment of the clamped and open conditions of the jaws is effected by rotation of the latch levers about the axis of the screw mechanism.

Abstract: An updatable and lockable flip chart holder that can clip into the rail strip or channel of a shelf or fasten to a display at a retail store. The flip chart holder allows manufacturers or promoters of products that are sold at retail to create consumer, educational, or promotional flip charts that can easily and economically be updated by opening rings. The lockable flip chart has a panel, and attached to the panel is a ring system with each ring having two ring halves and hinged leaves connected to each other and attached to each ring half respectively. A locking mechanism on the ring system presses against the leaves to prevent the ring halves from opening. Locking the rings also provides security so consumers cannot take the pages out of the flip chart holder.

Adjustment of the clamping and open condition of the jaws (2, 4) is effected by rotation of the latch levers (26) about the axis of the screw mechanism (22).
