Abstract: A compact or “minimalist” holder for a bottle and various personal items. The compact holder comprises three members: a bottle member, a protective member, and at least one adjustable band. The bottle member and the protective member are removably coupled by the at least one adjustable band. The compact holder allows access to, storage and protection of various personal item(s) disposed between the bottle and protective member. A variety of personal item(s) can be removably held, stored and protected by the compact holder, and a variety of fluids may be stored by and dispensed from the bottle, including lubricant, cleaners, antimicrobial solution, vitamin solutions, mace, pepper spray, perfume, oils, and lotion.

Abstract: A stand for supporting a computing device and a method of assembling the stand are provided. The stand may support the computing device at a height such that a screen of the computing device is at or near eye-level of a user. The stand may include a frame member and a gripping mechanism attached to an end of the frame member. The gripping mechanism may secure the computing device to the stand.

Abstract: There are provided an apparatus and method for measuring thermal conductivity capable of easily and accurately obtaining an extent of thermal damage of a targeted tissue. The apparatus for measuring thermal conductivity in burns includes a thermal paper stacking member having a plurality of sheets of thermal paper stacked thereon to form layers, and a pressing member configured to press the stacking member so that the thermal paper is stacked and maintained in a closely adhered state. Here, an extent of thermal damage of the targeted tissue according to the depth can be calculated as an extent of thermal damage of the stacking member according to the depth.

Abstract: A note includes a note sheet having an opening and at least two slits and a binder clip. Both slits extend to touch the opening. One slit extends to touch an edge of the note. A binder clip is inserted into one of the slits and positioned to block the opening from a front view of the note.

Abstract: The inventive concept is a device which is used to secure a sheath or stack of papers contained in an architectural sheet rack clamp. The device is essentially a three-tiered rectangular structure forming two parallel, length-wise channels within the spaces defined by the three tiers. One channel, situated as the upper clamp retaining channel, is structured so as to securely accommodate the typical sheet clamp used to store such materials as architectural drawings, maps, and other similar over-sized sheets. The second, or lower desk anchoring, channel of the device, contains two adjustable fastening means, enabling attachment of the lower desk anchoring channel to a desk, draftsman's stand, or table.

Abstract: A paperclip tab for coupling to an object. The paperclip tab can include a paperclip having a first leg and a second leg, and a sheet having a front surface and a rear surface opposite the front surface. The sheet can include a first portion, and a second portion overlapping at least part of the first portion, with the rear surface of the first portion and the rear surface of the second portion facing each another, such that a pocket is formed that can retain the first leg of the paperclip. At least a portion of the rear surface of the first portion can be adhered to at least a portion of the rear surface of the second portion. A recessed adhesive zone can be provided on a back of the paperclip tab positioned to face the object when the paperclip tab is coupled to the object.

Abstract: A fastener for a document folder includes a base plate, a hook bracket and torsion springs. The front end of the base plate is extended upwards and curled to form a bending section. A slot is formed by the surrounding of the bending section. Rotating shafts on two sides of the front end of the hook bracket are respectively arranged at two ends of the inside of the slot. The torsion springs are respectively sleeved on the rotating shafts on two sides of the front end of the hook bracket. Some ends of the torsion springs are fixed on the rotating shafts and the other ends of the torsion springs are fixed on the base plate. End sections of the rotating shafts are bent upwards to form retaining sections. Clamp holes are engaged with the retaining sections and used for fastener opening formed on the front of the bending section.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a plate holder and a liquid crystal display having the same. There is provided a plate holder for fixing a plate in a liquid crystal display. The plate holder includes a base portion, a body portion formed on an end of the base portion and laterally extending therefrom, and a head portion formed at a distal end of the body portion. The body portion includes a first body portion and a second body portion disposed to be spaced apart by a predetermined interval from and to face the first body portion.

Abstract: This disclosure provides a portable shopping aid used to mount a shopping list, coupons, or other documents. Contrary to conventional wisdom, the aid is configured to sacrifice a writing surface in favor of portability, by providing a small body that may be easily inserted into a pocket or handbag. The body includes a clamp for mounting the aid onto a push bar of a shopping cart, for hands free viewing during shopping, as well as a document clip mechanism that clips documents by their ends closest to the push bar. In order to provide structural rigidity to retained documents, and notwithstanding the absence of a writing surface or clipboard, the clip mechanism is configured to crease documents. The shopping aid also includes feet for standing the aid upright, on a flat surface, and means for mounting the aid magnetically on a refrigerator wall, in all cases such that retained documents are presented in a convenient reading orientation.

Abstract: A method of releasably securing an article with an audio recording includes handling a binder clip having audio circuitry with recordation and playback capabilities. The binder clip includes a pair of actuating arms and a gripping portion. The audio circuitry is in the form other than that of a cell phone attached to the binder clip. The method additionally includes compressing the pair of actuating arms of the binder clip above the gripping portion to expand the gripping portion and inserting at least a portion of the article into the gripping portion. The method further includes releasing the actuating arms so that the gripping portion grips the portion of the article inside the binder clip and recording audio onto the audio circuitry.

Abstract: A plate clip including a seat plate having a reel and a base plate, a pressing frame is pressed on the base plate by a spring, and an open handle. The open handle forming a lever is disposed on the pressing frame, and its fulcrum is at the reel. When a user opens the plate clip to clamp papers, he can press down the open handle to lift the pressing frame easily by the lever function, thus the finger of the user would not be injured accidentally.

Abstract: A clip for holding an object, such as a literature booklet, comprises first (23) and second (25) resilient parts, the first part adapted to hold an object having a first thickness and the second part adapted to hold an object having a second thickness, the first thickness being greater than the second thickness. Consequently, the clip can hold a range of thickness of literature booklets or other objects. The clip may be part of an article, such as a container for compact discs or DVD's.

Abstract: A binding device having a binding member that operates at a binding position of objects to be bound has a structure with which the bound objects do not readily come off. The binding device includes a board having a bearing plate. A spring member and an operation lever are attached to a shaft inserted in the bearing plate and a turned-up part. Protruding pieces of a binding member are inserted in through holes of turned-up parts formed in the board. One end of the spring member is secured to the operation lever, and the other end is fitted in a through hole of a turned portion at the distal end of the binding member. By closing the operation lever, the binding member rotates around a line connecting the protruding pieces at both ends, thereby pressing down sheets of paper placed on the board with a pressing portion. At this time, the other end of the spring member presses the turned portion, thereby biasing the pressing portion.

Abstract: Spring clamp binders that include sheet retention mechanisms that provide improved performance and increase manufacturing efficiency and cost-effectiveness are described. The spring clamp binders have a cover and one or more spring clamps for holding one or more items, including sheets of physical media, such as loose sheets of paper, pages of a photoalbum, and other types of physical media. Methods of manufacturing spring clamp binders also are described.

Abstract: A holder for clamping flexible sheet material includes an extruded plastic, elongated channel member having a base wall having two ends. The base wall is connected at one of the ends to a relatively short, upstanding forward leg having an inner face forming a bearing surface. The forward leg has a free upper end, and the base wall is connected at the other of the ends thereof to a relatively long, upstanding rearward leg having an upper end, and a top wall is joined to the upper end of the rearward leg. The top wall extends down behind the forward leg and has a free end which resiliently engages the bearing surface of the forward leg and it also has a crease or bend line spaced apart from the upper edge of the forward leg so as to define a wedge-shaped opening therebetween.

Abstract: This disclosure provides a portable shopping aid used to mount a shopping list, coupons, or other documents. Contrary to conventional wisdom, the aid is configured to sacrifice a writing surface in favor of portability, by providing a small body that may be easily inserted into a pocket or handbag. Abstract: A holding device for spherical and flat objects includes a carrier body, a clamping device held to the carrier body, a cover plate held to the carrier body, a plurality of holding elements, and an axle accommodated by the holding elements. The clamping device includes first and second clamping elements for accommodating round or angular objects. The cover plate and carrier body are partially spaced-apart to provide a guide slot, and at least one of the carrier body or the cover plate includes retention elements including formed lips extending from a basic body, each lip including an uninterrupted front edge. The cover plate is pivoted in a tiltable manner around the axle to connect the cover plate with the carrier body and is held under tension of a torsion spring against the carrier body. The cover plate is also formed so as to allow a tilt motion against the force of the spring to open the guide slot.

Abstract: The present invention provides improvements in paper fastening to enable a user to remove a desired portion of papers from a fastened stack of papers without having to unnecessarily detach unwanted papers in the stack from the prongs of the fastener. The improved paper fastening arrangement is for use with a fastener having a base including two ends each having a leg extended therefrom, the leg foldable relative to the base. The arrangement comprises a sheath including an extension shaped to slideably engage one of the legs, the extension including an opening that defines a cavity to receive the leg, wherein the extension at least partially covers the leg and is operative to engage through sheet materials. At least one guide tab depends from the extension downward from the opening, the guide tab being foldable.

Abstract: A device for holding individual sheets contains a circular baseplate with a weight. A U-shaped clip is integrally formed on the upper side of the baseplate and is situated in a plane running obliquely with respect to the upper side of the baseplate. Arranged within the clip is an inner element which forms a gap between its outside and the inside of the clip. Paper can be inserted into this gap.

The image product includes a first support substrate having a separate image layer thereon and a second support substrate having separate image layer thereon. The second support substrate being secured to the first support substrate so as to form the dual sided integral composite image product. Abstract: An open ring-like device for holding articles such as plastic cards and keys is formed so that its ends are opposed to one another and includes tips at the ends. The distance between the tips is less than the thickness of an article. Articles can be inserted into the device by pushing the edge of an article against the tips to spread the tips apart. The article is slid in between the tips to fit a tip through a hole in the article to hold the article on the device. The device allows for the insertion or extraction of articles without a separate step of opening or closing the device.

Abstract: The document holder essentially includes a front, generally flat, rectangular cover and a back, generally flat, rectangular cover. The covers may be transparent and are joined at one corner. This may be the upper left hand corner. A clip is pivotably mounted to both the front and back covers at the corner and the clip is pivotable from an operative position wherein the papers are held between the covers by the clip and an inoperative position wherein the papers may be released from the clip. The clip is mounted to the covers via a rivet. The covers are scored adjacent the corner so that the covers may be opened as necessary and lay flat. The holder is also reversible so that it can be arranged either horizontally of vertically with the clip always in the upper left corner.

The post subsequently engages the concealed fastener to secure the shield and fastener together. The posts aid alignment of the shield and fasteners during fabrication of the binder.

Abstract: A binder comprises an operating member supported on a base, a pressing member movable toward and away from the base by the movement of the operating member, and locking means for locking the operating member when the pressing member is set in a binding position. The operating member has a first operating spot and a second operating spot, and the operating member is locked to hold the pressing member at the binding position when the first operating spot is pressed toward the surface of the base, and unlocked to move the pressing member away from the base when the second operating spot is operated similarly.

Abstract: A loose-leaf file folder includes two covers, a spine made integrally with the covers, and a plurality of paper-holding sets, each set being formed of a shaft, a paper-holding stem, and a crossbar. The shaft and the stem are integrally made with one of the two covers such that the shaft and the stem are uprightly projected from a margin of the one of the two covers. The shaft and the stem are provided in a top end with a retaining hole. The crossbar is provided at two longitudinal ends with a retaining arm and is detachably joined with the shaft and the stem such that the two retaining arms of the crossbar are retained respectively and removably in the retaining holes of the shaft and the stem.

The press plate has a first end face formed with two spaced third through holes, and a second end face provided with two spaced protruding rings each formed with a polygonal recess aligning with one of the two spaced third through holes. Abstract: A suspended note clip for magnetic attachment to vertical surfaces has opposing portions that are squeezable to open substantially planar faces that are otherwise biased together, in grasping fashion, by the bowed shape of the opposing portions. Two retainers are slidably engaged on the bar for securing the paper sheets between the base and the bar.

Abstract: Leaf retaining means for loosely retaining a multiplicity of leaves of material, such as sheets of paper. The leaf retaining means comprise a base portion, which is provided with at least one formation to enable it to be secured to a folder cover, and loop means, the latter has at least two points on its surface which two points are closest to an imaginary plane which does not pass through that position and which is perpendicular to the loop means, and which two points are spaced apart. The loop means are such as to enable a leaf of material, such as a sheet of paper, with a generally T-shaped aperture in it that is open at an edge of the leaf, to be releasably held by the loop means by pushing the aperture onto the loop means.

Abstract: A device for holding plastic cards and keys includes an open ring formed into a shape such that the ends of the ring are opposed to one another and includes tips at the ends. A spine is located at the base of the open ring and a jacket is attached to the spine, for covering the cards. The distance between the tips is less than the thickness of a card or a key so that it can be inserted into the device by pushing an edge of the card or the key against the tips to spread the tips apart. The card or the key is slid in between the tips to fit a tip through a hole in the card or the key to hold it on the device. Cards or keys can be inserted or extracted without a separate step of opening or closing the device.

Abstract: A paper holder (100) comprising a base (10), a pair of front and rear jaws (21 & 22) provided on the base (10) for gripping a sheet of document by its lower end to holder generally upright. A hinge (30) connects the front jaw (21) to the base (10) for pivotal movement relative to the rear jaw (22) for opening and closing the jaws (21 & 22). A spring (35) resiliently biasses the front jaw (21) towards the rear jaw (22). The front jaw (21) has an upper surface (23A) extending over and above the base (10) for pressing by a user to pivot the front jaw (21) away from the rear jaw (22) against the action of the spring (35). The jaws (21 & 22) have respective inner surfaces (25A & 26A) for gripping, which are of comparable size as each other and are curved in a complementary manner.

Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a filing device which includes simplified binding elements for removably binding a plurality of folder bags of a synthetic resin, and allows for easy attachment of the binding elements to a file cover thereof. The filing device comprises: a file cover including a front cover portion, a back cover portion, and aspine provided between the front and back cover portions; and a binding member fixed onto an inner side of the spine of the file cover and including an elongated base plate, a plurality of binding elements provided parallel to each other at predetermined intervals along the length of the base plate on an inner side of the base plate as projecting perpendicularly to the base plate, and hooks extending outwardly from longitudinally opposite ends of the base plate and bent into a U-shape so as to be hooked onto longitudinally opposite ends of the spine of the file cover.

Abstract: A hardcover binder that can be interchanged with a variety of binding mechanisms. A binding mechanism is removably mounted in the binder hardcover allowing for removal of the binding mechanism for recycling or replacement of the binding mechanism or binder hardcover. The hardcover has a pair of interior pockets that are offset from and open towards the hardcover's spine. The invention comes with a pair of inserts that can be perforated and integrated with binding mechanisms such as plastic comb or spiral. In the case of a 3-ring binding mechanism, the inserts can be affixed to the binding mechanism or the binding mechanism can be mounted on a single section of insert material resulting in two insert flaps that function the same as the inserts. The inserts (or flaps) are removably inserted and fit snugly into the interior pockets to anchor the binding mechanism against the spine and between the hardcover.

Abstract: A spring clip has a base member attached by a flexible connector to a clip member which has a body portion and a flexible tail portion. The base member preferably includes magnets for holding the spring clip against a metal surface. The flexible tail portion has a distal end which is normally biased toward the base member for holding an object therebetween. A gap can be created between the distal end and the base member by pushing on the body portion to cause the clip member to pivot about the flexible connector such that the flexible tail portion moves away from the base member. The gap can also be created by pulling on the distal end which causes the flexible tail to flex away from the base member. Further, the body portion can be pushed to create the gap and the flexible tail portion also flexed to make the gap wider such that thicker objects can be held in the gap. The distal end can be hook shaped to hold a writing instrument or other object.
