Abstract: Gear hooks may be attached to the exterior of a bag, such as a sports bag, to carry gear outside of the bag. In some embodiments, a gear hook may include a base portion, an attachment portion extending from the base portion, a neck portion extending transversely from the base portion, and an arm portion extending transversely from the neck portion. The arm portion may be spaced apart from the base portion to form a gap configured to receive one or more objects (gear) for carrying the one or more objects on the outside of the bag. The attachment portion may be stitched into or onto the bag. In some embodiments, the attachment portion may include a flange extending outwardly from the base portion and generally parallel to the base portion. In some embodiments, the attachment portion may include a spine extending transversely from the base portion.

Abstract: A clasp for attaching a component to a bag having a strap. The clasp includes a protrusion portion having a protrusion and a receiving portion having a first arm and a second arm. The first and second arms define a receiving cavity configured to receive the protrusion of the protrusion portion. In one embodiment, the receiving portion further includes a body to which the first arm and second arm are connected by a plurality of flexible connectors. In another embodiment, the first arm is connected to the second arm by a clip. The arms of the receiving portion may each comprise a flexible extension which resists opening of the cavity. Alternatively or in addition, the receiving portion may further have a spring assembly which resists opening of the cavity. The receiving portion may further include one or more C-shaped strap retainers for attaching to the strap of the bag.
Abstract: A clasp including a protrusion portion with a protrusion, and a receiving portion defining a receiving cavity configured to receive the protrusion portion is described. The protrusion is securable in the cavity via frictional fitting of the protrusion into the cavity. The frictional fitting of the protrusion into the cavity creates a secure association between the receiving portion and the protrusion portion, and the receiving portion includes a first arm and a second arm extending from a receiving portion base. The first arm includes a first arcuate recess and the second arm includes a second arcuate recess opposing the first arcuate recess, and the first arcuate recess and the second arcuate recess define adjustable width of the cavity.
Abstract: A shoe with interchangeble shoe straps having spring connectors is provided. The spring connectors are affixed to opposite ends of each strap employed with the shoe. Each spring connector includes at least one loop spring which engages a stud securely affixed in the lower portion of the shoe. The spring connectors and straps can be easily interchanged but are not subject to unintentional disengagement. The spring connectors also provide a desirable amount of resiliency adding to the comfort of the shoe.
