  • Patent number: 6146728
Abstract: A plurality of binder strips (2) are removably arranged successively one after another on a band-shaped carrier film (1), with the lengthwise direction of the binder strips arranged perpendicular to the lengthwise direction of the carrier film. Each binder strip (2) includes an adherent portion (3) having an adhesive on a bottom surface thereof, and a non-adherent portion (7) having holes punched therein suitable for being received on a ring binder or prong fastener or the like. The carrier film (1) has registration marks (6) provided thereon, so that the carrier film can be automatically advanced and sharply deflected over a release edge (14) in an apparatus, whereby the successive binder strips (2) are released from the carrier film (1) and adhered onto a page (16) of sheet goods being advanced through an adjacently located sheet folding machine.

  • Patent number: 6071583
Abstract: The present invention relates to a removable double-sided adhesive tab comprising a tab body of substantially flat thin configuration. Each side of the tab is divided into a coated portion coated by an adhesive composition and an uncoated portion. The tab is adapted to be removably fixed to a supporting surface by means of one side and the other side is provided to be stuck to a display object. The uncoated portion has at least one grip element; this grip element is provided to facilitate easy gripping and peeling off the tab from the supporting surface, and a liftabilty effect is achieved no matter which side of the tab is placed against the supporting surface. The grip element comprises a crimp forming a localized surface deformity which causes the uncoated portion of the tab body to be slightly out of plane surface in the vicinity of the crimp. The thickness of the tab body is between 0.002 and 0.02 inches, and it can be made of either semi-rigid or rigid plastic material.

  • Patent number: 5965225
Abstract: A sheet of paper is provided with pressure-sensitive adhesive on areas of its front and rear surfaces. In a preferred form, the sheet is provided as a pad of similar sheets that may be removed from the pad one sheet at a time. The adhesive on the rear of the sheet is employed to secure the sheet to a first object. The adhesive on the front of the sheet is employed to secure a second object to the sheet. An area of the sheet face free of adhesive may be employed for a written message. A modified sheet is provided with cuts formed in an adhesive area of the sheet so that the cut area of the paper may move away from the plane of the sheet to adhere to irregular surfaces. The cut sheet may have adhesive on one or both sides. Where the adhesive is applied to both sheet sides, pressure-sensitive adhesive on the back of the uncut side of the sheet is used for adhering the sheet to a smooth surface.

  • Patent number: 4181553
Abstract: A two component removable adhesive hanger is disclosed which has a hook support component with a bifurcated end folded to form a pair of hook support legs and adhesively secured to a backing sheet component, the backing sheet component having adhesive means thereon to secure the hanger assembly to the wall, or similar surface. A hook member is supported by the hook support legs to enable the hanging of an article thereon. The backing sheet component extends downwardly beyond the hook support legs so as to provide an increased adhesive area and to prevent the hook from bearing directly against the surface to which the hanger is attached. The hanger is removable by manually separating the hook support component from the backing sheet component and subsequently dissolving the backing sheet by the application of water. Both the hook support component and the backing sheet component may be made from water dissolvable paper or the hook support component may be made from metal, plastic or like material.

  • Patent number: 4067337
Abstract: An adhesive tape tab for use on disposable diapers which may be peeled and re-used for subsequent fastenings of the diaper without tearing the outside plastic film of the diaper or the tape tab itself. The tape tab has a tape which is fastened on one portion to the diaper. A second, extendable portion of the tape has adhesive material thereon, however, the adhesive material is interrupted and divided into segments by nonadhesive areas formed by a nonadhesive open-mesh sheet material. Each of these adhesive segments has an area so that when the second portion of tape is attached to the outside film the peel strength between tape and film over the segmented area is less than the tearing strength of the film over the same segmented area.
