And Cooperating With Separate Mounting Component Patents (Class 24/680)
  • Publication number: 20100306984
Abstract: A towel system, assembly, and method enable a user to quickly identify, retrieve, and replace a moisture-absorbent medium. The towel system comprises, in combination, a circular towel, a support structure, and certain fastening structure. The towel is constructed from a moisture-absorbent medium and comprises a circular periphery, an anterior surface, and a posterior surface. The support structure comprises a vertical support surface. The fastening structure has a fastened thickness and is cooperable with the towel and the support surface for enabling a user to removably fasten the towel to the support surface. The fastening structure comprises towel-based and support-based structures. The fastening structure enables the user to removably fasten the towel adjacent the support surface a distance substantially equal to the fastened thickness for preventing contact between the towel and support surface and enabling the towel to hang within an air space surrounding the anterior and posterior surfaces.

  • Patent number: 7100329
Abstract: A universal attachment assembly for installing, and bracing covers over openings. More particularly securing shutter panels over doors and windows in masonry construction without defacing the walls. Novelty, simplicity, economy, vibration resistance and speed of installation are characteristics of the assembly. Tensile force is created by commercially available ratcheting device 21 and transmitted by flexible, lightweight straps 22 within universal attachment assembly 20. Marginally distributed paired fulcrum holes 23 in shutter 24 provide bearing against the structural rigidity of shutters 24 to convert strap tension into compression by novel specialized structural clamping levers 10. Corner of wall opening 25 is clamped by lever against shutter 24. Elasticity of straps provides resilience in maintaining constant, high, compressive loading against concrete sills, etc. despite fluctuations due to turbulent wind loads.

  • Publication number: 20020148080
Abstract: A fastener provides first and second rings interconnected by a neck. The neck has a size such that the lateral portions of both rings extend laterally spacedly beyond the neck. At least one ring defines an orifice of sufficient size to allow passage of two portions of a flexible tension element on which the fastener is to be carried to pass through the orifice without either portion being supported on the other. For use a slackened medial portion of the tension element is folded upon itself to form a loop, the loop end is passed through the first ring, over and about the second ring and about the neck so that the tension element is fastened about the fastener without an end of the tension element having been passed through any fastener orifice.

  • Patent number: 5308671
Abstract: A detachable decoration system including a first releasably interlockable fastener permanently connected to an article to be decorated and second releasably interlockable fastener permanently connected to a decoration adapted to selectively interlock with the first fastener. Once the interlockable fasteners are disengaged, the decoration is wholly disconnected from the article, thus permitting the article to be washed without damaging the decoration.
