Abstract: A clasp or catch for jewelry items or the like, comprises: a first member, for attachment to one end of a jewelry item, having two parallel sides and two transversal bars interconnecting the two sides; a second generally O-shaped but not closed member having one end pivoting around one of the two transversal bars, and the other end securely engaging the other of the two transversal bars; and a third member, for attachment to another end of the jewelry item, similar in construction to said first member, having at least one cross bar for retaining said other end of the second member when not engaged by said other of the two transversal bars.

Abstract: The clasp wristlet is of the unfolding buckle type comprising first (4) and second (3) strips hinged to each other and comprising a catch fastening (17, 23).At one end (25) of the second strip (3) a cover (19) is mounted so as to pivot, said cover having an opening (21) in which a projecting portion (8) of said second strip is capable of being inserted. When the clasp is in a closed position, the upper face (26) of said projecting portion (8) is situated at substantially the same level as the upper face (27) of the cover (19). In this manner the thickness of the clasp is reduced.The clasp may advantageously be used for a watch wristlet.

Abstract: This adjustment device comprises an adjustment link (6) provided with two parallel articulation axes (5,7) transverse to a bracelet, each serving to connect this adjustment link to two elements of the bracelet forming an endless attachment. This adjustment link is able to pivot about one of its axes (5) to that their respective positions are inverted, these two positions thus corresponding to two determined lengths of the bracelet. In the shorter adjusted position, the adjustment link (6) elastically engages in a recess (8c) of one of the articulated elements (8) of the adjustment link (6) by pressing this element (8) in the direction of the arrow (F.sub.7) so that the adjusted position is maintained as long as the adjustment link (6) has not moved out of the recess (8c) in which it is elastically held by the locking means (8d) of the recess (8c).

Abstract: The extensible bracelet clasp is of the unfolding buckle type. It includes a first assembly (1) comprising a cap (3) and a push-piece (5) adapted to slide on a second assembly (2) in order to adjust the length of the clasp. Such second assembly (2) comprises an arrangement (15) on which the push-piece (5) can act in order to open the clasp, such arrangement (15) and such push-piece being respectively provided with indexing means (16) and positioning means (17) in order to permit adjustment in length of the clasp and to retain the memory of such adjustment when the clasp is opened. The clasp can be used for a watch bracelet.

Abstract: A pair of push plates (11, 12) are slidably mounted in a housing (3) so as to be moved in a lateral direction with respect to a longitudinal direction of a personal adornment band (2), one of the push plates (11) has an upper arm (15) having a thickness of an upper half thickness of the push plate, the other push plate (12) has a lower arm (16) having a thickness of a lower half thickness of the push plate, upper and lower arms are overlapped with each other, and a pair of return springs (13) are provided between the push plates for urging each push plate in an outward direction. A cover (4) has a lock pin (21) secured to the underside thereof to be engaged with engaging hooks (20, 20c) of the push plates. In a coupling state of the buckle (1), an engaging rod (23a) provided on a connecting link (23) of an end of the personal adornment band is held by the cover and the housing which are locked each other.

Abstract: The bracelet clasp is of the unfolding buckle type comprising a base (1) and two strips (2, 4) capable of folding down onto the base. A cover (10) held by a push button (12) maintains the clasp in a closed position.The clasp comprises means (13) for the instantaneous raising of the cover (10) when pressure is exerted on the push button (12) to open the clasp.This device avoids a notch locking device which leads to a laborious manoeuvre for opening the clasp. Incidentally, the strands (8, 9) of the bracelet are hinged onto the strips (2, 4) which allows the bracelet to be presented flat.

Abstract: A bracelet clasp of the unfolding buckle type comprises a base plate (1) on which at least one hinged plate (2) is capable of being folded. A device enabling the two plates to be locked onto each other in a closed position comprises a first tongue (4) raised on the base plate (1) and a second tongue (5) raised on the hinged plate (2). In a closed position the two tongues are situated back to back and head to tail. The existence of a double tongue enables the locking force of one plate on the other to be doubled.

Abstract: A folding clasp for a bracelet, including a shank comprising two parallel side members each of which have a first end and a second end, wherein the first end of one parallel side member is connected to a first end of another parallel side member and wherein the second end of one parallel side member is connected to the second end of the other parallel side member, and at least one transverse element interconnecting each of the parallel side members; a first arm having one end articulated at the first end of each of the parallel side members; and another arm articulated at the second end of each of the parallel side members, so that the first arm and the other arm are adapted fold down and lock in the shank on a transverse element, wherein each of the first arm and the other arm includes a head, having on a front face a concavity for compressing on the transverse element and on a bottom face a recess located behind the concavity, for receiving a bracelet end and for locking the arm inside the shank.

Abstract: A buckle for a watch band has a housing connected to the watch band, a pair of push plates provided in the housing so as to be moved in a lateral direction, and a pair of springs for urging the push plates. A pair of stopper pins are provided for stopping the push plates urged by the springs. A cover having a lock pin is pivotally connected to an end of the housing. The cover is provided such that the lock pin is inserted into an opening of the housing and engaged with hooks of the push plates. An opening spring is provided between the housing and the cover for urging the cover to an open position.

Abstract: A double-safety catch for a bracelet, for example a watch bracelet, has a first closure element pivotally mounted at one end of a first portion of the bracelet for swinging about an axis transverse to the length of the bracelet. The first closure element passes through an opening in the end of the second portion of the bracelet and has a projecting catch which prevents accidental withdrawal of the first closure element from the opening and serves for locking resilient engagement with a rib on the first portion to trap the end of the second portion. A second closure element is pivotable about an axis extending longitudinally of the bracelet to cover the first closure element and to engage with a spring locking device which is manually releasable.
