Wire Patents (Class 24/DIG10)
  • Patent number: 5887900
Abstract: A retainer clip (1) for holding mementos and keep-sakes, such as greeting cards (7), invitations, ticket stubs, and the like, particularly multi-page ones, within a multi-ringed binder scrapbook (11) so as to typically not damage the memento in any way, while allowing the complete viewing of the memento, including the front and back pages of a multi-page item. The clip has an item clip retainer portion (3), which can be substantially similar to a conventional paper clip, with a binder ring retainer portion (5) attached to the item clip retainer portion, which binder retainer portion secures the clip to at least two of the rings (9) of the multi-ring binder scrapbook. The clip preferably has two, parallel, extended, oval-shaped portions, one longer than the other, with the shorter, ring attachment portion being shorter but having a length to extend across at least two, spaced rings of a multi-ring binder.

  • Patent number: 5507459
Abstract: A mounting device representing a combination paper clip and a pointed mounting member therefor, designed to be appended to a bulletin board or other mounting surface. This novel mounting device is of elongate configuration and involves a resilient wire having a plurality of bends therein, with selected ones of the bends defining a pair of elongate, coplanar loops. A first of the loops is slightly larger than the second of the loops, with the side portions of the second loop residing essentially within the confines of the side portions of the first loop. An article-receiving location is defined between the loops, adjacent one end of the device. The article-receiving location is adapted for receiving a relatively flat item inserted between the loops, with the inherent resilience of the wire tending to hold the flat item in a secure manner.

  • Patent number: 4299013
Abstract: A spring wire clip for clipping together sheets has a head and a pair of legs extending forwardly and outwardly from the head. Each leg has a forward transverse portion and a return portion at the end of the transverse portion which lies substantially outside the width of the head. Apparatus for clipping a plurality of sheets with a spreadable spring clip having a head and a pair of legs has an upstanding magazine for the spring clips, a support for the sheets which are to be clipped together and a pusher for engaging the head of the lowermost clip in the magazine and advancing the clip to the sheet support. Cams interposed between the sheet support and the magazine are engaged by the clip as it is advanced for spreading the legs of the clip and then releasing them when they are overlying the sheet support.
