The pellets or granules are then transported to a user station where they are stored, and then re-fiberized as required ready for use and introduced into a mixer where they are mixed with other ingredients to provide a mixture with the required properties which is then ready for delivery.

Abstract: A pretreatment apparatus for raw materials for production of reduced iron pretreats the raw materials, comprising an iron material, such as iron ore, and other raw materials, such as coal and flux, by a dryer, classifiers, a roll press, and a vertical mill, and feeds the pretreated raw materials to a pelletizer via a feed bin. At least two fluidized mixers for mixing the classified raw materials, one of the fluidized mixers for storage and the other fluidized mixer for supply, are provided for batch treatment. The pretreatment apparatus can uniformize the crushed particle sizes of iron ore, coal, etc.

  • Patent number: 6336603
Abstract: A magnetic induction drive for a rotatable driven member in a sealed housing, in particular, a shaft-mounted blade in a blender cup or a shaft-mounted blade in an ice shaver, uses a comparatively thin circular drive plate of a magnetizable material with circumferentially arrayed poles enclosed within a housing secured to a drive shaft. A brushless d.c. motor in a base separate from the housing has a rotor formed as an array of pie-shaped permanent magnet regions that interact with an electronically controlled, rotating electromagnetic field produced by a ring of stator coils. A second such permanent magnet is coupled to rotate coaxially and in unison with the rotor, with poles of opposite polarity aligned and adjacent one another. A steel disc is sandwiched between and bonded to the rotor and the second permanent magnet. The magnetic field (lines of flux) of the second magnet extends axially away from the rotor to induce magnetic poles of opposite polarity in the drive plate.

  • Patent number: 6186427
Abstract: A mixing apparatus comprising a stirring member (4) and a flow direction-changing member (7), which are provided so as to rotate together with a rotating shaft (3) disposed to be drivable in a rotating manner around an axis inside a vessel (2) for containing a material to be mixed, and a pulverizing member (6) provided on the inner circumference (2a′) of the vessel (2) facing the outer circumference of the rotating shaft (3) to be drivable in a rotating manner. The stirring member (4) is arranged by leaving a space relative to the outer circumference of the rotating shaft (3) in the radial direction of rotation, and has a stirring surface, which causes the material being mixed to flow toward the outer circumference of the rotating shaft (3).
