Patent number: 12214355Abstract: A planetary roller mill for processing a feed material includes a vessel with a grinding ring having an opening and a first area. The grinding ring is in sealing engagement with an inside surface of the vessel. At least two non-circular support plates are secured to a rotatable shaft. Each plate has an axially facing surface. A plurality of rollers are rotatably mounted to and positioned between the two support plates. Each of the plurality of rollers are in grinding communication with the grinding surface. The planetary roller mill includes an air supply system having an outlet in communication with the opening in the grinding ring. Areas of the two support plates are of magnitudes configuring a flow area through the opening of at least 30 percent of the first area to provide a predetermined quantity of heated air to remove moisture from the feed material in the mill.Type: GrantFiled: May 2, 2023Date of Patent: February 4, 2025Assignee: Coperion Process Solutions LLCInventor: Michael M. Patent number: 8505842Abstract: A mixing machine adapted to mix a liquid mixture containing bitumen with solid granules so as to obtain a homogenized bituminous mix. The machine includes a cylindrical container arranged coaxially to a vertical axis and capable of containing the liquid mixture containing bitumen and the solid granules, a heating circuit for heating the inner side surface of the cylindrical container, a mixing assembly mounted axially rotatable within the container to rotate about the vertical axis, and a driving unit adapted to rotate the mixing assembly about the vertical axis. The mixing assembly includes a helicoidal blade which extends coaxial to the axis within the container and has its outer peripheral edge in contact with the inner surface of the container so as to scrape the material adhering on the inner surface during its rotation.Type: GrantFiled: November 13, 2009Date of Patent: August 13, 2013Assignee: Euroline S.R.L.Inventors: Antonio Fornasier, Alessandro Pavan

Patent number: 7118055Abstract: A grinding mill comprises a suction device, a separator, a grinding device, and a driving device. The grinding device has a grinding ring, a grinding wheel, mounted on an excentric disc, a strong elastic plate assembly and several adjusting elements allowing to adjust a distance and a mutual orientation between the grinding wheel and the grinding ring as well as a grinding force. The elastic plate assembly attenuates excess grinding forces and thus prevents damaging of the grinding device. The separator has two support rings and a plurality of blades to separate ground micro-sized particles.Type: GrantFiled: April 19, 2004Date of Patent: October 10, 2006Inventor: Jin-Hong Chang

Patent number: 6454194Abstract: The object is that of providing a granular material processing apparatus (1) capable of evenly applying energy such as the compressive force and shearing force of pressers (5), due to centrifugal force, while maintaining good circulation conditions for the swirl flow of granular material within a casing (3) wherein, even in cases where granular material for which it is difficult to control the flow thereof in the casing (3) is processed, this is not allowed to accumulate in once place within the casing (3), but is moved to the entire interior wall thereof. In the cylindrical region formed in accordance with the revolution of the pressers (5) in the casing (3), an empty region (6) is formed wherein there is no extension of a shaft (201) etc.Type: GrantFiled: October 23, 2000Date of Patent: September 24, 2002Assignee: Nara Machinery Co., Ltd.Inventors: Kenji Hamada, Shinichi Yamamoto, Yoshihiro Wakamatsu

Patent number: RE33034Abstract: A press roll for acting in opposition to a counter roll. The press roll has a support member which is supported at its opposite ends. The support member is stationary in certain most embodiments and rotatable in one embodiment. A flexible, liquid-tight endless press jacket is wrapped around the support member. At each lateral end of the press roll, the press jacket is fastened to the outward end of a supporting disk, which is rotatably mounted on the support member. The lateral edge zones of the press jacket are both deformed radially inwardly around the outside of the respective supporting disks and each edge zone is clamped there by a annular clamping flange. To facilitate deformation of the edge zones, at least one of the edge zones terminates in a series of tongues separated by cutouts arrayed around the roll. Coiled tension springs engage the edge zone and/or the tongues to pull them in the direction toward the axis of the roll.Type: GrantFiled: August 31, 1988Date of Patent: August 29, 1989Assignee: J.
