Abstract: Cone crushers with differing main bearing styles therein being manufactured with interchangeable parts and with a common exterior configuration so that a roller bearing cone crusher could be replaced at a crushing site by a plain bearing cone crusher without the need for any modification to either the plain bearing crusher or the crushing site. Methods of manufacturing roller bearing cone crushers which have components therein which are interchangeable with components in a plain bearing cone crusher is also disclosed.
Abstract: A system including a nearly horizontal jaw movable to reduce a size of frangible material, a stationary cover around a top side of the jaw, an area is defined between an outer surface of the jaw and an inner surface of the cover, and a drive mechanism to cause the jaw to move to vary the area between the cover and the jaw to reduce the size of frangible material within the area. Another system and method are also disclosed.
Abstract: Bar type clay for craft including 50 wt % to 80 wt % of wax, 10 wt % to 40 wt % of body pigment, and 1 wt % to 10 wt % of a colorant, and formed to have a bar-like shape is provided.
Abstract: This fiber chopper overcomes the disadvantages of the previous cutting rollers for chopping continuous filaments. The apparatus includes a means for feeding continuous fibers through apertures in a fixed head. End mills engage the continuous fiber and chops them into discrete fiber lengths.
Abstract: The invention provides an apparatus for crushing material such as rock and includes a support structure having an inlet and an outlet. A powered rotor shaft rotates with respect to the support structure about a shaft axis, and a rotor mounted eccentrically on shaft describes orbital motion about the shaft axis. The rotor has a rotor wall which moves cyclically and laterally with respect to the axis during the orbital motion. At least one stator is mounted in the support structure to provide a stator wall spaced oppositely from the rotor wall to define therewith opposing walls of a crushing chamber located between the inlet and outlet. Feed direction of material passing between the inlet and outlet is generally perpendicular to the shaft axis, and when the rotor describes the orbital motion, spacing between opposing walls of the chamber varies cyclically. The stator is mounted yieldably so as to move away from the rotor when a pre-determined threshold force is exceeded so as to reduce possible damage.
Abstract: The apparatus for recycling glass containers comprises an enclosure having at least one customer access opening and a rotatable carousel mounted in the enclosure. The rotatable carousel defines a plurality of glass container receiving recesses for subsequently receiving glass containers through the customer access opening. A fixed platform defining at least two openings underlies the carousel and a scanning means, mounted in the enclosure, is positioned adjacent the carousel for scanning the code markings on the glass container. At least one trap door is provided, the trap door being operatively associated with a first opening in the fixed platform. The scanning means electrically controls the movement of the trap doors so that glass containers, upon rotation of the carousel, will selectively fall through one of the openings in the fixed platform.
Abstract: A method is characterized by causing a container with grain loaded therein to perform two rotary motions, that is a rotary motion about its own axis and a rotary motion about an axis of rotation extending in parallel with and in the same plane as its own axis, with subsequent positive removal of seed covers. The method enables the separation of seed cover from endosperm of grain of various cereal crops without destructing endosperm. An apparatus for carrying out this method is provided with at least two containers mounted in a hollow casing in parallel relative to each other for rotation about their common axes and interconnected for combined rotation about a common axis of rotation extending in parallel with their own axes. The apparatus has means for charging grain communicated with the containers, as well as collectors for seed covers and endosperm of grain communicated with the containers.
