Abstract: A projectile entangling device, cartridge and method for entangling an object. The projectile entangling device comprises a bolt slidably engaging within a receiver. A barrel is coupled to the receiver and is adjacent to a chamber. A gas conduit couples a compressed gas container to the bolt. A valve is positioned within the gas conduit. A trigger activates the valve and dispensing a compressed gas from the compressed gas container, through the gas conduit and exits the bolt. A first projectile and a second projectile are positioned within the cartridge. A tether is coupled to the first projectile and the second projectile. The first projectile, the second projectile and the tether are propelled from the cartridge and expelled from the barrel upon the compressed gas exiting the bolt. The tether elongates for distancing the first projectile from the second projectile for defining an expanding projectile and entangling with the object.
Abstract: A pulper with a shaft on which a spiral is arranged has been improved to such an extent that it comprises a shaft with a counter-rotating spiral. Preferably both spirals are arranged on the same shaft. This results in extreme friction in the centre of the reaction space of the pulper and thus in an increase in the capacity of the pulper and in an improvement to achieve highly efficient suspension.
Abstract: An agitator mill has a grinding vessel and an agitator shaft arranged such that it can be driven to rotate therein. Fixed at the end of the agitator shaft is a last agitator disc, on which is fixed a substantially cylindrical cage having apertures. Arranged inside the cage is a screening device. The distance between a second to last agitator disc and the last agitator disc is such that a braided flow forms, while avoiding a preliminary screening of grinding stock on one hand and auxiliary grinding bodies and coarse grinding stock particles on the other hand. Formed in the last agitator disc are passages through which the grinding stock passes together with the auxiliary grinding bodies, at which time a separation of the auxiliary grinding bodies and the coarse grinding stock particles takes place within the separating chamber formed by the last agitator disc and the cage.
Abstract: An agitator mill for treating free-flowing grinding stock has a grinding receptacle and an interior stator disposed therein. A rotatably drivable annular cylindrical rotor is disposed between the interior stator and the receptacle wall, with a grinding chamber being defined between said rotor and the receptacle wall. A grinding-stock discharge conduit is formed between the rotor and the interior stator (22) which is connected to the grinding chamber by means of a deflection conduit. Devices are provided for preventing the carry-over of auxiliary grinding bodies from the grinding chamber into the grinding-stock discharge conduit.
Abstract: A method of granulating lime powder or the like, use being made of a counterflow mixing machine with scraping and mixing means. The mixing means are rotated about a substantially vertical axis, and the bottom of the mixing vessel is covered with a layer of substantially ball shaped bodies, and raw material, e.g. lime, is subsequently added in a suitable amount having a specified moisture content, the mixing means subsequently being rotated such that the raw material after a specified period of time dependent on its moisture content, sticks to the ball shaped bodies.
