Comminuting Member Pivoted To Oscillating Supporting Link Patents (Class 241/219)
  • Patent number: 5340038
Abstract: A material reduction apparatus has a material loading bin for receiving material to be reduced. Below the bin is located a plurality of substantially parallel cutter bars with opposing ends and cutting tips thereon. The cutter bars are supported below the bin. Crank means are pivotally connected to at least one end of each cutter bar for alternatingly moving each cutter bar upward and downward as well as parallel in line left to right unlike the movement of the adjacent cutter bar for kicking, tossing and cutting the material to be reduced.

  • Patent number: 4886217
Abstract: A device for breaking stony material includes a frame, first and second substantially vertical crushing jaws with pressure surfaces connected to the frame so as to face each other and define an inlet opening for material to be broken close to their top ends and a discharge opening for broken material close to their bottom ends, a toggle lever system and pulling rod to which at least one crushing jaw is mounted for movement, and a hydraulic piston-cylinder for moving the toggle lever system and pulling rod so as to cause at least one of the crushing jaws to move in a first direction towards the other jaw and in a second direction transverse to the first.

  • Patent number: 4783013
Abstract: The invention relates to a jaw crusher wherein shims behind a toggle beam define various positions of its fore-and-aft adjustment along way slots in which its end portions are guided, and wherein the toggle beam is shifted forwardly away from the shims and rearwardly towards them by a pair of hydraulic rams, each connected between the housing and an end of the toggle beam. At each end the toggle beam has a forwardly-downwardly inclined surface slidingly overlain by a wedging member that cooperates with the upper surface of the adjacent way slot to wedgingly prevent forward shifting of the toggle beam and confine it against the lower surfaces of the way slots. Each ram has link connections with the toggle beam and with a wedging member whereby the latter is pulled forward out of wedging relationship before the toggle beam is shifted forward and is pushed back to wedging condition after the toggle beam engages the shims.

  • Patent number: 4278209
Abstract: Apparatus for reconditioning bagged material comprises a frame and opposed spaced front and back breaker plates mounted on the frame. The front breaker plate is pivotally mounted on the frame along either the top or bottom edge and the back breaker plate is pivotally mounted on the frame along the opposite of the top and bottom edge. An eccentric arrangement engages the free edges of the breaker plates for moving the free edges of each breaker plate toward and away from the other breaker plate. A first pair of crushing plates and a second pair of crushing plates are selectively mountable on the apparatus by a detachable coupling means for mounting either the first pair or the second pair on the eccentric for supporting the crushing plates at opposed spaced locations generally at right angles to the breaker plates to define a rectangular receiving space for receiving the bags, and also for moving the crushing plates of the mounted pair in circular paths in opposite directions toward and away from each other.

  • Patent number: 4168805
Abstract: A storage and dispensing system for ice in flake or particle form is disclosed utilizing a storage bin with driven screw augers extending outwardly over and above an ice storage space, the discharge end of the screw augers being pivotally mounted at the discharge end thereof with the other end of the augers being flexibly suspended for arcuate movement about the pivoted end to a position above the stored ice and being lowered into contact with the stored ice for auger dispensing, the auger being lowered as ice is discharged; the auger dispenser is oscillatable lengthwise during dispensing drive and is equipped with ice cutting blades on the outer edges of the screw flights and at the free end of such flights so as to ensure cutting a path through the particle ice as the conveyor device descends through the stored ice for dispensing purposes.
