Abstract: A hand-held device for cutting small food items includes a housing, a cutting member disposed adjacent a lower end of the housing, a plunger movable with respect to the housing toward and away from the cutting member, and a spring cooperating with the plunger. The housing includes a side wall having an opening through which small food items are loaded into an interior compartment of the housing. The plunger includes a ram for contacting a small food item loaded into the interior compartment of the housing, a button for being pressed by an operator's thumb to move the ram toward the cutting member, and a plunger rod connecting the button with the ram. The spring cooperates with the plunger biasing the ram away from the cutting member. Wings can be provided on the housing.

Abstract: A food chopper having an integrated cutting surface for a food chopper is provided. The integrated cutting surface can be incorporated into food chopping compartment of the chopper and may include a window for allowing visual inspection of the chopped food while still within the compartment. The food chopper includes blade mechanism having at least one V-shaped blade and a blade cover/cleaner configured to maintain the at least one V-shaped blade covered from user exposure even when the food chopping compartment is removed from the chopper.

Abstract: A food chopper includes a housing and a central shaft supported in a vertically movable configuration inside the housing. The central shaft has a lower end with at least one center blade, an upper end operably connected to a plunger, and a middle segment with two lateral arms. Two blade assemblies are rotatably connected to the two lateral arms of the central shaft. Each of the two blade assemblies includes a shaft connected to an outer blade. The vertical motion of the central shaft is converted into rotational motion of the blade assemblies using a conversion mechanism operably connected to each of the two blade assemblies. Depressing the plunger causes the at least one center blade of the central shaft to move vertically downward within the housing and the two outer blades to move vertically downward and rotate within the housing.

Abstract: A device for the destruction of disc media is provided. The device includes an engagement member disposed within a housing portion, and a support member on which the disc media rests against. An actuating force is applied to move the engagement member and support member together, thereby pressing the disc media between the engagement member and support member, and causing the disc media to break into pieces. The data stored on the resultant broken pieces of disc media are now not easily readable, and may be discarded.

Abstract: A chopper, or crusher (1) for breaking up ice, including a housing (2, 3) able to be pushed over the goods to be broken up and with a knife (5) with a blade having a toothed cutter (52) is provided. An upper housing part (2) is detachably connectable to a beaker-like housing lower part (3) closed at the bottom. In a preferred embodiment, the height HK of the blade (51), the height of the beaker HB and the maximum vertical path of the knife (5) limited by an actuation mechanism (4) are selected and matched to one another such that the cutter (52) in its lowermost position does not come into contact with the beaker base (31).

Abstract: A small-sized food chopper for chopping up foodstuffs, includes an outer case including a lower casing removably connected with an upper casing and a button mounted on the upper casing; a blade connection holder installed inside the outer case, the blade connection holder can move axially up and down in the outer case; a plurality of blades installed on the lower end of the blade connection holder; a reset spring sheathed on the blade connection holder which restores the blade connection holder axially up; a mechanism which makes the blade connection holder rotate a predetermined angle circumferential each time the blade connection holder operates axially; the button is configured such that it can slide up and down axially, and the button acts on the upper end of the blade connection holder to make the blade connection holder move axially downwardly.

The knife with the upwards movement by the guiding in the housing is rotated about an angle and by way of a positive displacement the rotation of the actuation mechanism relative to the housing is limited in one direction. The actuation mechanism includes a cap open at the bottom in which the push button is rotatably mounted, wherein the push button and the cap in the axial direction are rigidly connected to one another. An outer shaping of the actuation mechanism is completely free with the application of the cap.

Abstract: A food chopper is shown with a body having an upper and lower portion in which a convoluted blade is supported on a cross bar for purposes of chopping food stuffs contained in the lower housing and enclosed by a cutting surface secured beneath the lower housing. A cushioned type handle is provided atop the shaft which is connected to the blade, and a plunger shaft surrounds the main shaft and coacts with a plunger shaft guide interior of the upper housing to promote dimensional stability. The convoluted blade is secured to slots in the cross bar by means of pins which pass through and engage holes provided in the upper portion of the convoluted blade.
