  • Publication number: 20120305689
Abstract: A drum cutting machine has a rotary drum and has a plurality of blades arranged along the contour of the rotary drum. The lateral surface of the rotary drum is provided with a multiplicity of holes. A supporting part matches the contour of the rotary drum and has for each of the blades a bearing point that defines the position of the cutting edge. A blade box for such a machine makes it easier to move the blades into the correct position, thereby reducing the complexity in terms of maintenance.

  • Publication number: 20110147508
Abstract: A heavy-duty drive arrangement for a mill having a grinding bowl ratable about a vertical axis comprises a housing, an electric motor, and a gearing arrangement disposed in the housing and supported on the housing. The grinding bowl can be driven by means of the electric motor via the gearing arrangement. The electric motor is disposed below the gearing arrangement. The electric motor is integrated in the housing. Advantageously, the electric motor is supported on the housing particularly on a bottom element of the housing. The rotor can be connected directly, or via a coupling integrated in the rotor, to a gear of the gearing arrangement. The mill may be, for example, a roller bowl mill.

  • Publication number: 20080245914
Abstract: A high turbulence mill used for producing supermicro powder and nanomaterials includes: a driving device provided on a base; a hollow grinding casing having a toothed ring-shaped guide stator fixed to an inner circumference thereof; a bi-negative pressure turbine rotatably mounted within the grinding casing; a hopper for delivering materials into the grinding casing via a material feeding pipe; a material discharging pipe communicated with the grinding casing for discharging pulverized products; and a control device for electrically controlling the high turbulence mill. When the specifically designed bi-negative pressure turbine spins at a high speed within the grinding casing under the driving operation of the motor, strong vortexes and high turbulence will be formed in the grinding casing, and thus a gas-solid two-phase flow is formed.

  • Patent number: 6915971
Abstract: A comminuting unit of a comminuting machine for comminuting material has a plurality of knife carriers with a longitudinal axis. The knife carriers are arranged along a comminution path of the comminuting unit and have a leading longitudinal edge. The knife carriers are aligned with the longitudinal axes transversely to the comminution path and parallel to one another. The knife carriers have an axis-parallel slicing knives arranged at the leading longitudinal edge. The slicing knives have a cutting edge extending at a predetermined angle and a predetermined projecting length into the comminution path. Axial passage slots are formed between the knife carriers allowing passage of material comminuted by the slicing knives such that a rearward longitudinal edge of a preceding knife carrier and the slicing knife of the following knife carrier together define the axial passage slot in the form of a guide channel.

  • Patent number: 6397492
Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for separating and processing solid waste, often but not necessarily from municipalities (and so will be generically referred to herein as municipal solid waste or “MSW”), into useful products, and for reducing biohazards and putrid odors derived from MSW. The MSW is loaded into an elongated, generally cylindrically shaped rotating pressure vessel and is subjected to heat and pressure by the application of steam in specified amounts to break down the organic portion of the MSW into a cellulose feedstock, or a de-manufactured paper product, of uniform particle size and density. This product is then easily separable from other constituents of MSW, such as glass, aluminum and other metals, and plastics. The recyclables are recovered and sold in the market. The waste water from the process is reduced by processing through a water vamping apparatus.
