Patent number: 10668475Abstract: A pulverizing attachment for an excavator and a method of removably rigidly retaining teeth to one or more jaws of a pulverizer. A plurality of tooth members each have a longitudinal slot with a cross-sectional shape and a relief slot extending substantially transverse to the longitudinal slot producing a flexible end portion capable of deflection upon application of a longitudinal compression force. The tooth rails having a complimentary cross-sectional shape to the longitudinal slot slidably receive the tooth members. The complimentary shape of the longitudinal slot and tooth rail in cooperation with a longitudinal compression force applied to deflect the flexible end portions of each of the tooth members rigidly retains the tooth members on the tooth rails fixed to the pulverizer jaws.Type: GrantFiled: January 31, 2017Date of Patent: June 2, 2020Assignee: Genesis Attachments, LLCInventors: Daniel Raihala, Roger Johnson

Publication number: 20120298783Abstract: A heavy duty rotary disc-type wood chipper containing a knife clamping system that conducts the impact and shearing loads acting upon the chipper knives along two primary axes which allows for more efficient dissipation of the impact loads and a reduction in the deleterious effects of off-axis loads resulting in the ability to use smaller holding bolts and smaller knives in the system without adversely effecting either the ability of the knives to stay fixed to the disc or the quality of chips produced.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 24, 2011Publication date: November 29, 2012Applicant: CEM Machine, Inc.Inventors: Scott J. Publication number: 20120153062Abstract: The present matter provides an improved grating surface and graters comprising an improved grating surface. The grating surface comprises one or more cutting blades extending outwardly from the grating surface each including a cutting edge, and at least one groove located on the grating surface and extending towards the cutting edge of the at least one cutting blade. The at least one groove can be located on the cutting blade surface and extend towards and into the cutting edge. The at least one grove can be formed by chemical etching techniques (e.g. in a grating surface of metal such as stainless steel). Grooves and cutting blades can be simultaneously formed. in a grating surface by chemical etching.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 21, 2010Publication date: June 21, 2012Inventors: David Douglas Green, David Chan, Karan Chow

Patent number: 7909277Abstract: A comminution device including at least one comminution cylinder supported rotating in a machine frame with at least one comminution tool arranged on it, and at least one counter cutter interacting with the comminution tool, and at least one sieve device for the comminuted material the housing of which encircles the comminution cylinder at least partly, the sieve device and the counter cutter forming a common structural component. The counter cutter is designed like a plate and has recesses designed corresponding to the shape of the comminution tools of the comminution device.Type: GrantFiled: April 25, 2007Date of Patent: March 22, 2011Assignee: Doppstadt Calbe GmbHInventors: Johann Doppstadt, Horst Berger

Patent number: 7175119Abstract: A shredder apparatus and method for shredding wet chip materials in which the shredder utilizes a shredder mechanism having a shaft attached to a frame, a bearing assembly disposed on the shaft, and a rotatable rotor disposed on the bearing assembly. First shredder members are attached to and rotatable with the rotor, and cooperate with second shredder members attached to the frame to shred wet chip materials fed into the shredder apparatus.Type: GrantFiled: January 25, 2006Date of Patent: February 13, 2007Assignee: Inter-Source Recovery SystemsInventor: William D. Nemedi

Patent number: 6622951Abstract: A wood fragmenting rotor assembly has a drive shaft driving a series of radially projecting hammers. Replaceable fragmenting knives are removably secured to the leading portions of said hammers and have generally axially extending fragmenting edges. An impaling tool having a generally conical leading end is carried on the hammers radially inwardly of the edges to project a generally tangentially predetermined distance forwardly and provide an initial rigid work contacting portion ahead of and cooperating with the knife edges.Type: GrantFiled: September 26, 2000Date of Patent: September 23, 2003Assignee: Mobark, Inc.Inventors: Jeffrey M. Recker, Milan W. Robison
