Abstract: An anti-jam device that restricts the number of sheets each time is disclosed. It comprises a movable element and a fixture element disposed above the rotary shafts. The movable element is a pair of rods parallel to the rotary shafts, with both ends in the preformed holes on the fixing element. When the shredder is in its auto mode, the passage width defined by the gap between the rods is exactly the maximum thickness of paper that can be feded each time. When the shredder is in the rev mode, the rods are pushed by paper upwards to form a larger gap, allowing the paper to be backed out easily.

Abstract: An auto electricity breaker includes a breaker switch, an energy storage device driven by a cutting blade ensemble, a variable gear set driven by the energy storage device, a trigger driven by the variable gear set to turn on the breaker switch, and a starting switch for restoring the trigger. The energy storage device stores energy concurrently during the operation of the cutting blade ensemble. When the cutting blade ensemble stops operation, the variable gear set is driven to operate. When the variable gear set operates to a certain extent, the trigger takes action to turn on the breaker switch. The breaker switch breaks the electrical power of the shredder to stop its operation. The user can turn on the starting switch for restoring the trigger and thus turn on the power of the shredder again for normal operation. The breaker then resumes its auto electricity breaker function.

Abstract: The present invention relates to providing active protection through a safe structure of a paper shredder. It comprises a paper shredder upper cover and a paper shredder plate disposed on the paper shredder upper cover. Different from prior art paper shredders, which are provided with independent safe switches, the paper shredder plate of the present invention, is configured with a touch structure and a safe power supply switch. When closed, the paper shredder plate prevents users from accidentally touching the shredding blade, and the like. Inside the paper shredder, it starts the paper shredder and guarantees the paper shredder's normal operation on the one hand, and prevents forced feeding of non-expected items on the other hand. In the later case, the structure disposed on the inner surface of the paper shredder plate provides dual protection and is capable of stopping the paper shredding from working, whereby the safety of users is enhanced.

The TCA can pulverize, grind and shred most residential trash items into small pieces, while allowing non-shreddable material to be disposed of as well. In some embodiments, the TCA can be installed on the top of a commonly utilized trash receptacle. To install the TCA on a common receptacle, the hinged top of the receptacle can be removed. A rectangular opening can be cut near the top, on the back side of the receptacle. The TCA can then fit directly inside the top lip of the receptacle and can be bolted into the sides of the receptacle with a reinforcing metal band on both the interior and exterior of the lip of the receptacle. An electrical connection box with a three-prong electrical plug can be installed into the rectangular. The TCA can have a metal lid and a latch to latch the lid to the receptacle.

By fast rotating the collision plates in a chamber, the powders can be continuously pulverized at high velocity. The chamber is maintained in a stable low pressure, so that gas flows are generated by planes of the rotating collision plates and the powders can be sorted. The present invention can perform functions of both pulverizing powders of D50<20 ?m to D50<2.0 ?m and sorting them with advantages of dry, low temperature, saving-energy, less consumed-material and high efficiency. The present invention is particularly suitable for oxides unable to be fined by high-temperature pyrolysis, powders having problems of changing properties at high temperature or aggregation. The present invention also provides a low-cost technology for certain powders such as cement.

Abstract: A shredder includes a housing, a shredder mechanism including a motor and cutter elements, a capacitive sensor, and a controller. The capacitive sensor is configured to detect the capacitance of an entity attempting to operate the shredder and thereby detect an appropriate indication of the relative size of the entity because relative size can be an effective indicator of age of the entity. The controller is coupled to the capacitive sensor and is configured to enable/disable operation of the shredder based on the detected capacitance. As a result, the controller and capacitive sensor are configured to cooperate to detect some indication of age, and therefore, maturity, to safely operate the shredder. As a result, a mechanism is provided which results in an increased safety function for the shredder by ensuring that the operator is capable of safely operating the shredder.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a shredder having a thickness triggering device. During the shredding operation, the trembling of the article is minimized or eliminated by using the shredder. The shredder includes a sustaining mechanism and a driving assembly. Since the sustaining mechanism is sustained against the shredding article, the amplitude of the trembling article is largely reduced. As a consequence, the influence of the shredding article on the thickness triggering device is reduced so as to prevent interruption of the shredder.

  • Patent number: 7325759
Abstract: A method for reducing impact damage to a waste fragmentation machine is provided in various embodiments. In general, material that is potentially ungrindable, e.g., unacceptably dense, may be inadvertently allowed to enter into the grinding chamber within the machine where it encounters a high-speed rotor. The high-speed rotor comprises rotor teeth that impact the material to fragment or comminute it to an acceptable size. A vibration detector is placed in proximity with the rotor's bearing(s) and, after taking a daily baseline sample, monitors the fragmentation process. If the vibration level goes beyond an alert upper limit, the operator may be alerted via visual and/or audible annunciation that potentially ungrindable material may be in the grinding or fragmenting chamber. The operator may then examine the waste material and, if necessary, remove any potentially ungrindable material.

Abstract: A transportable system for separating materials in a waste stream. An arrangement of separation and grinding devices is mounted on a transportable platform. The devices are configured and arranged to produce three or more product streams from a plastic-rich feed mixture. One of the product streams is a coarse heavy stream, one stream is a ground plastic-rich product stream, and one stream is a ground light material stream. The system can be transported to a waste-goods location, operated to separate waste-goods, and relocated a new location.
