Abstract: Raw cannabis plant material is dried, coarsely ground, agitated while chilled, sifted and collected to result in cannabis plant material rich in trichomes. Dried cannabis plant material is coarsely ground using a grinder. The coarsely ground cannabis plant matter is agitated in a tumbler in a cooled environment to separate the trichomes from the remainder of the plant matter. The trichomes are then sieved using a sieve shaker with sieves of different mesh sizes mounted in a tower. Chilling the plant material embrittles the trichomes so that they can be removed more easily from the remainder of the plant material.

Abstract: In order to facilitate side extraction of the roller holder cartridge (3) in a rolling mill stand (100), the strokes of the hydraulic capsules needed to take the pistons of the same clear from the trajectory traveled by the roller holder cartridge (3) during the extraction of the same from the rolling mill, may reach values indicatively between 150 and 400 mm, values which can negatively affect response times of the position control system of said capsules (4?). In order to continue to apply the same capsule control methods but with a considerably more dynamic system capable of rapidly and accurately reacting to sudden changes of pressure, the servo valves in the control circuits are of the four-way type, instead of the three-way type.

Abstract: A roll mill for a milling-dispersing treatment has a fixed roll fixed to a frame, and a transfer roll displaceable into and out of contact with the fixed roll in a direction perpendicular to the fixed roll by a servomotor and a ball screw. A laser sensor disposed between the fixed roll and the transfer roll measures the distance between the rolls, and a load sensor measures a pressing force between the rolls. An electronic automatic control device maintains a constant distance and a constant pressing force between the fixed roll and the transfer roll by feedback of detection signals sent from the respective sensors, wherein the servomotor is driven by the electronic automatic control device to adjust the position of the transfer roll.

Abstract: A material reducing apparatus comprising a feed conveyor, for conveying material to be reduced, and a feed roller cooperating with the feed conveyor. An upwardly rotatable rotor carrying a plurality of strikers which facilitate reduction of the material to be reduced and an anvil cooperating with the plurality of strikers to facilitate further reduction of the material to be reduced. A grate assembly, located adjacent an arcuate path of the rotor, which permits sufficiently reduced material to pass therethrough. The material reducing apparatus further includes a failsafe system which comprising an accelerometer supported by the rotor and coupled to a control system such that the accelerometer, upon detection of the rotor contacting a hard material, sends a signal to the control system. If the signal indicates a sufficiently large material, the control system reverses a rotational direction of the feed roller so that the feed roll rotates to withdraw the hard material from contact with the rotor.

Abstract: A crushing and reducing device, especially cone crushers, used in the building and ore-dressing industries. A method includes providing a crusher with proximity sensors and a disc rigidly secured to the unbalanced-mass vibration generator of the crusher such that the plane thereof is always perpendicular to the rotation axis of the vibration generator. The method includes measuring a distance to the disc, calculating the three-dimensional position of the disc plane, calculating the amplitude of the circular vibrations of the internal cone according to the position, calculating the size of a crushing gap according to the calculated amplitude, comparing the size with the specified parameter of the gap and, if required based on comparison results, outputting a control command to hydraulic cylinders to modify the position of an adjustment ring. The adjustment ring position is controlled by a proximity sensor which is mounted on the flange of a body top part.

Abstract: A sensor device for measuring distance between a stator and a rotor in a machine is of the magnetic type and is intended to be mounted in the stator in order to interact with an opposing surface on the rotor. A sensor body (10) can be moved axially in a housing (11) mounted in the stator by means of an operating mechanism (13) and has a stop (16) at a predetermined distance (e) from its end surface designed to interact with a corresponding stop (17) inside the housing. This distance (e) exceeds the distance (d) between the stop (17) in the hosing and the end of the sensor body (10) by a predetermined distance (c) when the sensor body is in its normal measuring position. These stops (16, 17) make possible a particularly accurate calibration of the sensor device.

Abstract: A safety device that can close the paper passage of a shredder has a touch board pivoted in the vicinity of the shredder opening. When the board is under a pressure produced by fingers touching the opening, it is rotated about its pivotal axis. Its rotation drives a transmission mechanism and a closing element to close the opening. Therefore, the fingers cannot go into the opening and get hurt. Once the pressure on the touch board disappears, a restoring element pushes the touch board back to its normal position and brings the closing element away from the closing position. The opening is thus open again.
