Abstract: A drier for a food waste disposal system. A hollow drum has a charge port and a discharge port for food waste. An agitating screw has a rotating thread which is rotatably disposed in an inner space of the drum and agitates and crushes the food waste, and a rotating shaft around which the rotating thread is disposed. A motor is installed on a first end of the drum, and provides a rotating force to the agitating screw. A crusher has a crush plate installed on a second end of the drum and a plurality of inclined crushing blades arranged radially, and a crush plate support installed around an upper portion of the crush plate. A heater is installed on an outer surface of the drum, and when powered provides high-temperature heat for the inner space of the drum, drying the food waste.

  • Patent number: 7886998
Abstract: Self-correcting plate guards for installation over an orifice plate of a grinding machine are disclosed. Each plate guard has studs that fit into apertures of an orifice plate. The studs and apertures are sized so that the correct guard must be used with a particular orifice plate. Furthermore, the mounting ring that holds the orifice plate in place on the grinding machine cannot be tightened for use of the grinding machine without the plate guard being installed.

  • Patent number: 7207510
Abstract: This invention contains a suction base meat grinder consisting of a meat grinder with a suction base and manually operated grinding unit. Turning a rotating disk first, the user will firmly fix this meat grinder to the kitchen table surface, as well as lock the base to the upper grinding part. Then the user can rotate the handle to spin the screw bolt and the pedal blade, pushing meat to go through the pedal blade, and be grinded into ground meat, thus finishing the grinding process. Meanwhile, this grinder is made up by the grinding unit and the sucking base. The grinding unit and the sucking base can be separated at cleansing time, making it easier to clean.

  • Patent number: 7114671
Abstract: A device for separating the hard components for a grinder used in the field of the food industry, and more particularly of the mincing of meat, downstream of one or several cutting assemblies, includes a grid for stopping hard components which is associated with a separating cutter of for draining hard components towards the center, in order to cause them to pass into a collecting tube which is screwed into a supporting grid or spider according to an adjustable depth. The collecting tube includes, an axial recess capable of receiving the end of a driving shaft of the cutters of the grinder, so that the latter can be held transversely and rotate in it and, peripherally with respect to the axial recess, at least one channel allowing the transit of hard components.

  • Patent number: 6594619
Abstract: An apparatus is described for detecting the early signs of cycle-induced fatigue and thereby predicting failure of the rotating disk in turbo-machinery. It identifies asymmetrical growth of hub-blade diameter as a predictor of incipient crack growth. Tip measurements are processed through specialized algorithms to detect such asymmetry during operation, providing a real-time, non-destructive method of prediction. The sensors can be housed within the machinery case, and are capable of operating in harsh environments while maintaining adequate stand-off distance, making the entire apparatus robust enough for conditions in high-speed turbo-machinery.

  • Patent number: 6402069
Abstract: In a comminution machine, which is particularly used in industry, with an emulsifier (3), a particularly simple structure with a single driving device for conveying, cutting and emulsifying the material to be chopped is guaranteed when, between a support body (32a) on a stator (32) of the emulsifier (3) and a fulling body (33a) on the corresponding rotor (33), there is a successively narrowing gap (36a) area in which the material to be chopped is exposed to a further constant fulling comminution under pressure. The rotor (33) is rotationally connected with the shaft (4) of the cutting and conveying device of the comminution device. On the rotor (33) a co-axial hub (33c) connected to the fulling body, is provided, with which hub the rotor (33) is fitted on the shaft (4).
