Abstract: A circulating processor includes a base, a container, a cutlery and a pressurizing mechanism. An operating motor is disposed in the base and is disposed with a mandrel therein. The container is disposed above the base, where a space is formed on its bottom part, and a reflux opening is formed on its upper half part and in communication with the space. The cutlery is positioned on the container's bottom part and connected to the mandrel. Thereby, when the operating motor operates, the mandrel and the cutlery are enabled to rotate synchronously, to mash food, vegetables and fruits in the container. The pressurizing mechanism is in communication with the space of the container. Through the pressurizing effect of the pressurizing mechanism, the mashed food, vegetables and fruits can be transferred into the container via the reflux opening, so as to perform circulating mashing treatment.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for processing animal byproduct materials is disclosed. In some embodiments, the apparatus includes a grinder for grinding the byproduct materials; a mixer for mixing the ground byproduct materials with an oil absorbing material and a backmix material; and a dryer for drying the mixed materials. In some embodiments, the apparatus also includes a cyclone for separating an air stream from the dried materials. The dried materials are transported to one or more presses for pressing the dried materials, thereby reducing oil content. The one or more presses includes a first opening for delivering pressed oil to a centrifuge and a second opening for sending the pressed materials to a screener. A portion of the screened material is sent back to the mixer (and/or the grinder) and the balance of the screened material are sent to storage as a finished product.

Abstract: A food waste disposer having a fluid recycling device includes a plate disposed for rotation within the food waste disposer. At least one fluid recovery member connects a first side of the plate defining a food grinding cavity to a second side of the plate defining a waste receiving cavity. Rotating the plate forces a portion of a waste water/slurry in the waste receiving cavity to back-flow into the food grinding cavity, to recycle/reuse the water. The fluid recovery member can include a fluid passageway oriented at an angle with respect to the plate. A control device can also be used to recycle the portion of the food waste water/slurry.
Abstract: A grinding mill grinds grains or similar foodstuffs, while the concept of the invention could also be applied to other feed materials. The grain is fed at a controlled rate to an impeller chamber, ground by the impeller until a small enough size to fit through a sieve, and separated into a sample cyclone stream and a bulk or waste cyclone stream. Each cyclone includes a central air return duct which channels air back to the grain feeder chamber and then into the impeller chamber. By having the air from grinding recirculated back to the grinder after separation, the grain grinding process is cleaner and results in less moisture loss.

Abstract: A reclamation device for a mill that includes a collector positioned at an output chute of the mill and a connection for airflow from the collector back to the mill. Air and at least some powder that would have been wasted without the reclamation device is collected by the collector and re-fed to the mill through the connection. Abstract: An apparatus and method recycles the abrasive fluid or slurry effluent used in the polishing step in the manufacture of semiconductors. Agglomerations of abrasive grains built up in the slurry effluent are crushed using a mill, ultrasonic oscillation, or pressurized circulation. The slurry effluent is then regenerated and reused.
Abstract: A comminuting apparatus is provided having a frame, a set of overlapping scissor rolls, a shear outtake manifold, and a pneumatic conveyor. The frame has an enclosure with an entrance for receiving waste material. The set of overlapping scissor rolls includes a feed scissor roll and a recirculation scissor roll, both the feed scissor roll and the recirculation scissor roll being carried for co-rotation within the enclosure and operative to comminute the waste material into subdivided pieces by drawing the received waste material beneath the feed scissor roll and up between the feed scissor roll and the recirculation scissor roll. The shear outtake manifold is beneath the scissor rolls and is configured to collect the subdivided pieces of waste material.

The upwardly driven particles are first driven through a plurality of short arm rotors which are driven by the shaft and provide a centrifugal force which comminutes the particles. The particles are then driven through a plurality of semi-permeable screens which are rotatably driven by the shaft and further comminute the particles. High apex flow enhancers are installed along the walls of the chamber to enhance the fluid flow.
Abstract: Apparatus and method for concentrating metallic aluminum from dross comprising a system in which dross is repeatedly and continuously passed through an impact type mill to mill the material and to enable the metallic aluminum concentrates to be separated from the non-metallic components of the dross. Abstract: A milkshake machine or similar apparatus uses the grinding and shredding principles employed by conventional impeller-type waster disposers. The milkshake machine has a housing that defines an upper grinding chamber and a lower receiving chamber separated by a rotatable impeller disk that mixes together and drives ingredients to be mixed against shredding surfaces on the inner wall of the grinding chamber. The receiving chamber has a discharge outlet, and a return inlet is provided in the housing above the grinding chamber. A powered rotor shaft rotates with respect to the support structure about a shaft axis, and a rotor mounted eccentrically on shaft describes orbital motion about the shaft axis. The rotor has a rotor wall which moves cyclically and laterally with respect to the axis during the orbital motion. At least one stator is mounted in the support structure to provide a stator wall spaced oppositely from the rotor wall to define therewith opposing walls of a crushing chamber located between the inlet and outlet. Feed direction of material passing between the inlet and outlet is generally perpendicular to the shaft axis, and when the rotor describes the orbital motion, spacing between opposing walls of the chamber varies cyclically. The stator is mounted yieldably so as to move away from the rotor when a pre-determined threshold force is exceeded so as to reduce possible damage.

Abstract: A canned motor has a housing and a motor shaft which extends through the housing. A rotor is fixed to the shaft and is located in a rotor compartment within the housing. The rotor compartment has a flow path for circulation of a cooling and lubricating fluid through the compartment. A sleeve surrounds the shaft upstream of the flow path and is surrounded by a second sleeve. The two sleeves cooperate to define a gap which serves as a filter for fluid entering the rotor compartment. The minimum height of the gap is smaller than the minimum height of the flow path to prevent suspended solid particles which can obstruct the flow path from entering the latter. The sleeves are composed of a hard material so that oversized particles can be ground down by causing the fluid to repeatedly bring the particles into contact with the sleeves.
Abstract: Materials such as cement clinker are crushed by utilizing a crushing apparatus including a vertical roller mill provided with a rotatable table and a plurality of rollers and a distributing device for distributing materials preliminarily crushed by the vertical roller mill. The materials to be crushed is fed into the vertical roller mill, the materials are crushed between the table and the rollers by a pressing force applied to the rollers and substantially the whole amount of the crushed materials is then taken out from the vertical roller mill and conveyed to the distributing device. The crushed materials once conveyed to the distributing device is returned partially as they are to the vertical roller mill and again crushed together with the materials newly fed into the vertical roller mill. The materials are returned to the vertical roller mill by about 20% or more in weight ratio with respect to the newly fed materials when cement clinker is utilized as the materials to be crushed.

Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus and a method for the comminution of brittle material in a roll crusher. The method comprises the steps of introducing fresh material feed into a roll crusher which is divided into two distinct feed inlet zones which are at least one initial feed inlet zone for said fresh feed material and at least one secondary feed inlet zone for feed which has been stressed at least once by said roll crusher. Each initial feed inlet zone and each secondary feed inlet zone directs feed into, respectively, a corresponding initial feed crushing zone and secondary feed crushing zone. In the invention, fresh feed material is introduced into the roll crusher only in the initial feed inlet zone(s) whereby it is stressed at pressures sufficient high to cause the formation of at least some agglomerates.
Abstract: The grinding chamber of the apparatus has first and second grinding sections having perforate wall sections overlying the outlet of the apparatus. The perforate wall of the first grinding section underlies the rotor of the apparatus and has an arcuate shape. The perforate wall of the second grinding section extends generally tangentially upwardly and outwardly from the downstream end of the perforate wall of the first grinding section. The second grinding section is larger than the first, and may include breaker bars which deflect the material being ground toward the perforate wall of such section.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for pulverizing a material such as sand to a desired particle size. The apparatus has a pulverizing shell in which the material to be pulverized is fed and pulverized. The pulverized fluid-carried material overflows the shell so as to be fed into a settling classifier, where the coarser material settles and is discharged through its bottom opening back into the shell for repulverization. The finer material overflows the classifier and is fed to an intermediate bin, which has its bottom connected to the shell through a valve. When the bin is filled up with the material, the valve is opened so that the material in the bin is returned to the shell. The material is thus circulated through the shell, classifier and intermediate bin. The shell is adapted to be alternately connected to the intermediate bin and a product collector bin by a changeover valve.
Abstract: An improved hydropulper and mixer for pulp production and associated tasks, in particular for gently re-hydrating and separating processed fiber. The apparatus comprises a vessel, a lower chamber containing a rotatory mechanism, a rotary drive and a tube for re-circulating the slurry. A sized aperture in the bottom of the vessel, which controls vortexing and excessive swirling, opens into the chamber. The chamber safely encloses a vanned rotor which vigorously pulps the fiber while impelling the flow through an outlet and tube back to the vessel. The slurry recycles until the quality is judged satisfactory. A de-watering screen can then be introduced into the flow, saving the water for re-use, or the slurry can be redirected to another location by the same integral pumping action.
Abstract: A system for collecting, drying, and comminuting garbage. The garbage is collected and introduced into a hopper. A plurality of heat lamps and sandblasting nozzles are provided on the walls of the hopper. The garbage is dried and comminuted in the hopper. A mesh conveyor is provided for filtering out particles smaller than sand which are delivered by a conveyor for further waste disposal. Particles and sand which do not pass through the mesh conveyor are fed back and delivered under pressure to the sandblasting nozzles.
Abstract: A centrifugal fluidized grinding apparatus having balls as a grinding medium therein, comprises a parting vessel having a vertical axis, composed of inner and outer vessel parts both forming a circumferential groove. The circumferential groove has a continuous and smooth surface and provides a completely open inner space allowing the grinding medium and starting material to move freely through any part of the entire area of the inner space without encountering any obstacles. The groove has a generally ovoid profile with an upper part thereof cut away in a vertically cross-sectional view taken along a plane including the axis. The ovoid has a longitudinal axis intersecting the vertical axis at a position over the parting vessel. The inner and outer vessel parts are mounted for relative rotation about the vertical axis, in such a manner that the inner vessel part is rotated while the outer vessel part is stationary, or the latter is rotated in a reverse direction.
Abstract: A continuous granulator includes a granulator body for continuously processing powdered materials into granules, and a screw conveyor for discharging the produced granules from the granulator body, the screw conveyor including a pneumatic classifier for separating or classifying the produced granules while they are being conveyed. The pneumatic classifier includes a porous lower portion of the screw conveyor which permits passage of streams of pressurized air therethough into the interior of the screw conveyor. With this construction, discharging conveyance of the produced granules and classification of the produced granules can be carried out concurrently at the same station and hence the granules of a uniform grain size can be produced at an increased rate.
Abstract: A method and apparatus fluidizes solid deposits of coal tar sludge, such as coal tar decanter sludge or coal tar tank sludge to a relatively homogeneous mixture of solids dispersed in liquid. The coal tar decanter sludge received from the coke oven, including approximately 10 to 50% by weight coal and coke solids, is conveyed into a sludge mixing vessel where it is deposited onto a liquid-permeable support member or screen having a predetermined maximum screen size. A suitable coal tar solvent in the sludge mixing vessel is heated to a temperature sufficient to partially solubilize and reduce the viscosity of the coal tar portion of the coal tar decanter sludge to provide a pumpable dispersion of solids dispersed in a diluted coal tar mixture. Agglomerates of coal and coke solids held together with coal tar fall through the screen when sufficient coal tar has solubilized and the solid agglomerates then are reduced in size for recirculation to the sludge mixing vessel.
