Abstract: A manhole adjustment ring removal assembly includes a frame. A pair of legs is pivotally coupled to the frame. Each of the legs has an upper end and a lower end and each end has one of a pair of the plates attached thereto. The plates each have an outer edge extending outwardly away from a corresponding one of the legs. The outer edges taper to point and are extendable between an adjustment ring and a cone base. A drive assembly is mounted on the frame and is mechanically coupled to the legs. The drive assembly is actuated in a first direction moving the lower ends away from each other and in a second direction moving the lower ends toward each other. A lift ring is attached to the frame to be engaged with a cable to lift the frame when the plates are positioned under the adjustment ring.
Abstract: A pouring reel for forming a hot rolled long product into an annular coil comprises a central mast lying on a vertical axis. A cylindrical tub surrounds and cooperates with the central mast to form an annular tub chamber. A coil plate defines a bottom of the tub chamber. The central mast, cylindrical tub and coil plate are rotatable in unison about the vertical axis. An entry nozzle has a delivery end arranged to direct the product downwardly into the tub chamber for accumulation on the coil plate as a series of superimposed rings forming the coil. The coil plate is movable downwardly along the vertical axis and relative to the central mast and the cylindrical tub to accommodate the increasing height of the coil being formed in the tub chamber.
Abstract: A pipe lifting assembly includes an eyebolt that is insertable into a pipe. A pair of spreaders is provided and each of the spreaders is slidably positioned around the eyebolt. Each of the spreaders is positionable at a selected point along the eyebolt, and the pair of spreaders includes an upper spreader and a lower spreader. A plurality of grips is each pivotally coupled between each of the spreader. Each of the grips is spaceable a selected distance from the eyebolt when the upper spreader is moved upwardly or downwardly along the eyebolt. Additionally, each of the grips frictionally engages an interior surface of the pipe when the eyebolt is positioned in the pipe and the upper spreader is moved downwardly along the eyebolt. In this way each of the grips facilitate the pipe to be lifted when the eyebolt is lifted.
Abstract: A machine for winding a wire coming from a rolling mill into a coil, includes first means for locking a tail end of the wire and second means for containing, lifting and moving a formed coil to a binding station. The first means for locking the tail end of the wire and the second means for containing, lifting and moving the formed coil are built into a single operating unit.
Abstract: Coiling method and device (“R”) for a long product (10). The device (“R”) comprises a mandrel (12) with a sub-stantially cylindrical shape and rotating around its own axis, and a containing element (13) coaxial with the mandrel (12), rotating together therewith and defining a front wall (32) to contain the coil of product (10) to be formed. The containing element (13) comprises an annular channel (14) to clamp the leading end of the product (10) around the mandrel (12). The containing element (13) is mobile axially with respect to the mandrel (12) between a first position wherein the leading end of the product (10) is inserted, and a second position wherein the coil of product (10) is completed.
