  • Patent number: 9850090
Abstract: The invention relates to a drum intermediate storage of yarn for a textile machine having a driven rotary drum with a working surface and a movable radial rotary arm. The driven rotary drum is coupled with a first drive and the arm is coupled with a second drive, whereby both drives are composed of motors and both motors are connected to a control system of the textile machine. The radial rotary arm is provided with a yarn guide, whose working portion upholds the yarn radially relative to the axis of rotation of the drum.

  • Patent number: 7988083
Abstract: A thread accumulation device that essentially consists of a discharge chute for receiving and guiding a strand that is formed by a thread take-up device (10) and a carriage (14) for taking up a thread spiral, guided in parallel to the longitudinal axis of the discharge chute that is equipped with a tension rail device and resting on the end of the strand of the side that is opposite to the thread take-up device (10). The device is characterized in that the carriage (14) for taking up a thread spiral that is guided on the discharge chute is equipped with a unit (16) for monitoring its movement and support on the end of the strand of the side that is opposite to the thread take-up device (10). The invention can be applied more particularly in the field of the textile industry, in particular of the treatment of thread.

  • Patent number: 7156337
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for inserting weft yarn material, comprising an insertion system in a loom. According to the invention, for every insertion the insertion system (A) is supplied with a substantial part of the weft yarn required for the insertion in a loose and substantially tension-free manner so as to be intermittently pulled off. A tubular package of adjacent windings is produced from the weft yarn material on an inner mechanical support (S) by way of an at least substantially continuous winding process and is conveyed forward in withdrawal direction. For an insertion, a number of windings that corresponds at least approximately to the weft yarn section intended to be inserted is detached or set free from the support while maintaining its tubular configuration without yarn tension. The weft yarn material is withdrawn directly inwardly from the frontmost winding and then further along the tube axis (X).

  • Patent number: 7086624
Abstract: An accumulator-feeder device for feeding yarn to a textile, knitting and stocking machines with a winding drum turning around a rotating axis and composed of two connected cage rotors, opposite each other, each rotor having a head from which rods protrude facing the head of the other rotor. Rods of the two rotors form peripherally corresponding cylindrical surfaces; a first rotor rests on the rotating axis, the second rotor is oscillating on an axis at right angles to the rotating axis; the peripheral surface of the first rotor has an axis which coincides with the rotating axis of the winding drum, the peripheral surface of the second rotor has an axis inclined to the rotating axis, the peripheral surface protrudes from two diagonally opposite parts of the peripheral surface forming two conical lobes adjacent to the opposite heads of the drum.

  • Patent number: 6364235
Abstract: A weft thread pre-winder or pre-spooling device for an air jet loom includes a thread storage drum (6) made up of several drum segments (7) that are each adjustable in the radial direction so as to adjust the diameter and circumference of the thread storage drum. Thereby the amount of stored thread can be adjusted. Open gaps or interspaces (8) are formed between respective adjacent drum segments (7), and become larger or smaller depending on the radial adjustment of the segments. Especially for threads that form only a small thread balloon while being drawn-off from the thread storage drum, the threads would tend to get into these interspaces and become caught on the edges or corners of the drum segments, which would lead to energy losses in the thread and interfere with the proper weft insertion and thread transport.
