Particular Bearing Patents (Class 242/376.1)
  • Patent number: 11254283
Abstract: The invention relates to a belt rectractor (10) for a seatbelt of a motor vehicle. The belt retractor (10) comprises a belt spool (14) which is rotationally connected to a belt spool-side end of a torsioning rod, said torsioning rod being operatively connected to a locking mechanism (20) at a locking mechanism-side end. In a locked state, the locking mechanism-side end of the torsioning rod is rotationally fixed to a frame (12). The belt spool-side end can then be rotated relative to the locking mechanism-side end in an unwinding direction (16) under the effect of torsion from the torsioning rod. The belt spool (14) is additionally rotationally fixed to the frame (12) in the unwinding direction (16) in a stopped state of a stopping mechanism (22). The stopped state is set of the belt spool-side end is rotated by a specified number of rotations relative to the locking mechanism-side end in the locked state of the locking mechanism (20).

  • Patent number: 9771051
Abstract: An engagement-side flange portion, one of a pair of flange portions on the respective axial ends of a webbing-take-up portion of a take-up drum, is positioned to face engagement teeth and includes a projecting portion formed to project radially outward from its peripheral edge that faces a pawl when the pawl moves to reach engagement position with the engagement teeth. Outer peripheral diameter of engagement-side flange portion is smaller than inner peripheral diameter defined with tip ends of engagement teeth. Maximum outer peripheral dimension formed by the projecting portion and engagement-side flange portion is larger than inner peripheral diameter defined with tip ends of engagement teeth. In a state where the take-up drum is attached to a housing, the projecting portion projects radially outward over inner peripheral diameter defined with tip ends of engagement teeth that is located at axially outward side of the projecting portion.

  • Patent number: 9527475
Abstract: A belt retractor (10) includes a frame (12) provided with locking teeth (36). A belt reel (14) is rotatably supported in the frame (12) and provided on at least one axial end with ratchet teeth (38) adapted to engage in the locking teeth (36), when the belt reel (14) is shifted from a home position into a locked position. A locking bearing (32) interacts with the belt reel (14) on the side where the ratchet teeth (38) are arranged and keeps the belt reel in the home position up to a first load threshold. A load bearing (34) interacts with the belt reel on the opposite side and keeps the latter in the home position up to a second load threshold. The first load threshold is lower than the second load threshold.

  • Patent number: 9358951
Abstract: A counterweight that biases a ratchet lever toward an unlocking side, in addition to a self weight of the ratchet lever, is provided in a mechanism that locks pull-out operation of a seatbelt according to operation of an acceleration sensor. The counterweight is provided with a moment transmission projection that allows the ratchet lever to turn freely as a result of non-engagement between the counterweight and the ratchet lever when a tilt angle of a seat back is less than 60°, and that transmits rotational moment by a self weight of the counterweight (rotational moment in the direction of an arrow R3) to the ratchet lever as a rotary bias force toward the unlocking side as a result of engagement between the counterweight and an engagement wall of the ratchet lever when the tilt angle of the seat back is 60° or more.

Abstract: When attempt is made to insert a fitting-shaft section into a fitting-hole section in a state where phases of the fitting-shaft section of a spring-screw and the fitting-hole section of an adapter about a central-axis line of a spool-body are not matched, shaft-section-side inclined-surfaces formed at shaft-section-side protrusions abut to hole-section-side inclined-surfaces formed at hole-section-side protrusions, so the shaft-section-side inclined-surfaces press the hole-section-side inclined-surfaces in such a direction inclined in a pull-out direction to a projecting-direction of a shaft-section body from a flange section.

  • Patent number: 7458537
Abstract: A tape measure includes a post with at least first and second arms spaced from one another to form a longitudinal slot having an end aperture for coupling with a tape blade retraction spring. The post distal end anchors to a housing sidewall via a fastener, and a fastener engagement region of the post extends from the aperture to the fastener's terminus. A distinct reinforcing collar is disposed about the post's distal portion and acts to limit movement of the arms away from one another. The collar may overly the post for at least half of the fastener engagement region and/or may abut a shoulder on the post. The fastener may have a first pullout resistance level without the collar present and a second higher pullout resistance level, advantageously double or more, with the collar present. Also, methods of assembly are described.
