Patent number: 11882924Abstract: A holding device for cameras or other portable equipment includes a housing in which a roller element and a return element are arranged. The roller element is rotatably mounted in relation to the housing. A tie for fastening equipment items is completely rolled up on the roller element in an initial state, with only one end thereof protruding from the housing. The return element exerts a tensile force on the roller element so that the tie can be rolled up on the roller element. The tie is unrolled and pulled out of the housing when an external tensile force larger than the tensile force of the return element is exerted on the tie. The tie is rolled up to the initial state into the housing when an external tensile force smaller than the tensile force of the return element is exerted on the tie.Type: GrantFiled: October 1, 2019Date of Patent: January 30, 2024Assignee: REELOQ GMBHInventor: Lukas Watzinger

Patent number: 11612141Abstract: A retractable leash with automatic locking and unlocking function including a housing, a spool with a cord wound therearound, a braking means, a cord opening, a stopping means and a biasing means. A second portion of the stopping means abuts against the cord in such a way that tensioning of the cord by an external force actuates the stopping means to overcome biasing force of the biasing means to rotate to the locking position, and untensioning of the cord by the external force returns the stopping means from the locking position to the unlocking position. The present invention automatically locks the leash when the dog rushes, thus improving safety of the leash.Type: GrantFiled: December 19, 2019Date of Patent: March 28, 2023Inventor: Wing Yin Chung

Patent number: 9016608Abstract: A locking retractor is disclosed, as are stretchers and cots using the retractor to secure a patient. The retractor includes structure for locking the retractor spool to prevent rotation in both directions. However, a cam is coupled to the shaft and is arranged relative to the locking structure to prevent the spool from locking during an initial portion of the spool's rotation, until a first locking point is reached. Once the first locking point has been reached, a clutch prevents the locking structure from engaging while the spool is still rotating, but the locking structure will engage to lock the spool in both directions once active rotation stops. A user-actuatable lever is provided externally that disengages the locking structure when actuated to allow the spool to extend and retract freely.Type: GrantFiled: March 15, 2013Date of Patent: April 28, 2015Assignee: Intertek Industrial CorporationInventors: Scott Bradley, Jeff Fields, Chase Parish, Tyler Butel

Publication number: 20130153701Abstract: A container for accommodating an electronic device cable includes a main base, a top cover, a winder rotatably connected to the main base, and a locking mechanism received in the winder. The top cover is placed on the main base, and defines an accommodating space in cooperation with the main base. The winder is received in the accommodating space, and includes a spring for providing a rotary force to the winder when the spring is twisted. The locking mechanism is received in the winder and configured for detachably fastening the winder to the top cover. When the cable is pulled away from the winder, the locking mechanism of the winder detaches from the top cover to allow unwinding of the cable to a desired length. Then when the transmission arm is pushed, the locking mechanism is driven away from the top cover whereupon the winder automatically rewinds the cable.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 11, 2012Publication date: June 20, 2013Applicants: HON HAI PRECISION INDUSTRY CO., LTD., FU TAI HUA INDUSTRY (SHENZHEN) CO., LTD.Inventors: FU TAI HUA INDUSTRY (SHENZHEN) CO., LTD., HON HAI PRECISION INDUSTRY CO., LTD.

Patent number: 7784727Abstract: A cable reel mechanism includes a main body, a cable reel, a cable, a volute spring and a switching element. The main body has a receiving room defined therein and a limiting groove. The cable reel is turnably disposed in the receiving room of the main body and has a track groove in which a ball bearing is disposed. One portion of the ball bearing engages with the limiting groove of the main body. The cable is reeled on the cable reel. The switching element is disposed on the main body and has a pressing portion which detachably presses the ball bearing. The cable reel mechanism can be switched to different operation modes via the switching element, so that users can pull then retract the cable rapidly and directly to adjust the length of the cable, therefore the operation is easier and more convenient.Type: GrantFiled: May 6, 2009Date of Patent: August 31, 2010Inventor: Sheng-Hsin Liao

Patent number: 7374123Abstract: A mechanism for rewinding flexible members onto a spool is described. The inventive rewind mechanism permits a flexible member to be pulled outside its housing and remain outside the housing without a rewind force on the flexible member simply by pulling on the flexible member and releasing it. The flexible member is rewound into the housing simply by pulling and releasing it again.Type: GrantFiled: September 5, 2006Date of Patent: May 20, 2008Inventor: Joseph Unkyung Han

Patent number: 6502778Abstract: An electric power cord retrieving mechanism for a vacuum cleaner includes a cord reel rotatable in an unwind direction for paying-out a cord, and in a cord wind-up direction for winding up the cord. A brake is normally urged to a reel- engaged position for preventing rotation of the reel in the cord wind-up direction, and is movable to a reel-disengaged position for permitting rotation of the reel in the cord wind-up direction. A cord button is displaceable by a manual force for moving the brake out of the reel-engaged position. A selector button is mounted on the cord button and is movable between a semi-automatic position wherein the brake returns to the reel-engaged position when the manual force is released from the cord button, and an automatic position wherein the brake remains in the reel-engaged position when the manual force is released from the cord button.Type: GrantFiled: April 18, 2001Date of Patent: January 7, 2003Assignee: Samsung Kwangju Electronics Co., Ltd.Inventor: Gi-Man Kim
