Abstract: An assembly that assists in the winding of an optical fiber of a laser module around a spool. The assembly contains a spool support that holds the spool as the optical fiber is wound around the spool. The spool support has a top surface with opposing side edges. The top surface of the spool support has a periphery, wherein the top surface of the spool support is beveled between its peripheral edge and the groove. The presence of the bevel helps to guide the optical fiber onto the spool as the optical fiber is wound around the spool. A generally circular groove is disposed in the top surface of spool support, wherein the groove at least partially intersects the opposing side edges of the top surface. As a result, when the spool is attached to the spool supports, opposite sides of the spool protrude beyond the sides of the spool support.

Abstract: A storage system for organizing, handling and storing small electrical appliances with powercords and adapters, in an orderly and efficient manner for ease of access, and especially for handling and storing loose powercords. The system comprises a powercord storage tool, and an appliance storage container. The powercord storage tool provides efficient means for gripping, winding and retaining a powercord. It also provides means for attaching the tool, with powercord on it, to an electrical appliance, and alternately for attaching the tool, with powercord on it, to the outside of the appliance storage container. The appliance storage container provides storage of the appliance inside, and a rack on the outside for attaching and holding the tool, with powercord wound thereon, onto the outside of the container. The tool also provides manual guiding and direct sensory feedback to the operator of the tension on the powercord while it is being wound onto the powercord storage tool.

Abstract: A cable-spooling casing is suitable for completely or partially spooling transmission cables of earphone for easy carriage. The cable-spooling casing includes a first spooling guide having a first protuberance on its interior surface and a plurality of slots around its perimeter. There is also a second spooling guide having a second protuberance on its interior surface, such that when the first protuberance of the first spooling guide is joined to the second protuberance of the second spooling guide, a groove for spooling cable is formed in the middle. There is at least one clip on the exterior surface of the first cable-spooling guide for fixing the earphone transmission cable in place and at least one back clamp on the exterior surface of the second cable-spooling guide for clamping the cable-spooling casing onto any item worn by a user.

Abstract: A hand reel storage device (10) for a holiday light string (12), having an elongate cord (14), a plurality of light sockets (16) with light bulbs (18), a plug (20) on a first end (22) and an outlet (24) on a second end (26). The hand reel storage device (10) comprises a spool (28) to hold the holiday light string (12) when the elongate cord (14) is wound thereabout. A facility (30) on a first end of the spool (28) is for retaining the first end (22) of the elongate cord (14) with the plug (20) of the holiday light string (12) in place. A facility (32) on a second end of the spool (28) is for retaining the second end (26) of the elongate cord (14) with the outlet (24) of the holiday light string (12) in place.

Abstract: A closed cylindrical storage device for fishing hooks and attached leaders wherein a hollow spool is captured within an outer shell. The hollow spool is divided into sections for containing the hook, and the leaders extend through gates and are wound about the exterior of the spool as dictated by the individual gate. Relative rotation between the spool and its exterior shell is limited to one direction.

Abstract: The present invention consists of a water spray hose device, a fixed base and a movable base, wherein the inner side plate of the fixed base is provided with a holder and a disk capable of continuously positioning, catching and stopping, and the outer side plate thereof is provided with a handle and a clip capable of fixing a spray connector; the inner side plate of movable base is provided with a brake element under the control of a spring; when the movable base is assembled with the fixed base, the stop on the brake element will intermittently move along the continuous corrugated chutes of the disk so as to control the action of stretching or folding the spray hose; and the outer side plate of the movable base is provided with a framed groove capable of disposing the inlet connector and a pair of recesses capable of folding the spray hose.

Abstract: A cord organizer for storing an excess length of an electrical power cord including a first and second bundle strap assembly, connected by a central bundle strap connecting member, and a pair of cord clips, located on the bundle strap connecting member. Each bundle strap assembly includes a slotted strap insertable within the strap aperture of a cinch mechanism. The cinch mechanism has a screw-type barrel member that includes a cinch thread formed on an outer surface thereof. The barrel member is rotatable with respect to the strap aperture in a manner such that the cinch thread engages and urges the slotted strap through the strap aperture in a first predetermined direction when the barrel member is rotated in a clockwise direction and a second predetermined direction when the barrel member is rotated in the counter-clockwise direction.

Abstract: A cable reel of an electric signal transmission apparatus includes a tape-shaped cable for absorbing a relative rotation by tighting and loosening of the windings of the tape-shaped cable, a housing including an inner cylinder having a flange portion and an outer cylinder having side and bottom surface portions, wherein an upper portion of the side surface portion is engaged with and covered by the flange portion of the inner cylinder.

Abstract: A cable reel using a tape-shaped cable including a high-strength conductor having a tensile strength of 500 to 1500 N/mm.sup.2, an elongation percentage of 0.5 to 50% and a spring limitation value of 400 to 2000 N/mm.sup.2. Accordingly, in such a cable reel, weight as well as cost of the whole or parts in a cable reel can be reduced.

Abstract: A take up reel for window blind cords, comprising a rotatably driven spool having a cord attachment member fixedly engaged thereto and spaced apart from a cord receiving surface of the spool. The member is adapted to alternatively slidingly engage a cord positioned within said device, when the device is in an unretracted position, and fixedly engage said cord when said device is in a retracted position. In a further aspect of the invention, a cord retraction device comprising a rotatably driven spool with an attachment member adapted to engage a cord thereto is provided, with the spool being further provided with a retainer rotatably engaged to an end thereof and adapted to retain the cord on a cord-receiving surface of the spool. The retainer is rotatable between first and second positions, wherein in the first position the attachment member is exposed for user access thereto, and in the second position, the cap cooperates with the spool to retain the cord on the cord receiving surface thereof.

Abstract: A storage device for electrical extension cords includes a substantially elongated hollow tubular member having hollow end caps at either end from which extend winding arms. The winding arms are adapted to have an electrical extension cord or the like wrapped around them to form a coil of wire along the elongated body member between the arms. At one end of the first end member there is a rotatable hook for mounting the entire assembly including an extension cord. Along the body of the elongated member are two clamps for holding the plugs at either end of the extension cord in place. The plug clamps are movable longitudinally along the body of the elongated member to allow for adjustment for different lengths of extension cord. A tubular extension member is partially mounted internally of the elongated member such that it may move in or out of the body of the elongated member to form an adjustable support for positioning against the ground during winding.
