  • Patent number: 11939178
Abstract: A device for neatly winding up cargo ties includes a moveable clamp arm a first end of which projects out of an opening of the housing such that the clamp arm and the housing together form a pair of jaws that can selectively be placed about a variety of surfaces and tightened. The jaws are loosened and tightened through the rotation of a threaded rod that engages with a second end of the clamp arm at the interior of the housing causing movement of the clamp arm along a clamping axis. In some embodiments, a nut which is prevented from rotating, is disposed at the second end of the clamp arm and comprises threading that engages with the threading on the threaded rod moving the clamp arm along the clamping axis.

  • Patent number: 7207516
Abstract: A tool is provided to assist stringing fence wire during building of a fence. The tool comprises a hanger for suspending the tool from a secondary fence post, which is typically a metal T-post. An upright attaches to the hanger and provides a series of arms extending away from the fence post. The arms include an end structure that support fence wire against downward movement and against movement away from the fence post, all in an effort to minimize entangling of wire before it is tightened. After the fence wire is tightened, the tools are removed from the fence post and may be reused. Several different types of end structures are provided.

  • Patent number: 7201365
Abstract: Apparatus for use in handling a load where a load-bearing rope and a service cable are inter-wound as they are being paid out, having a wrapping device for wrapping a securing member around the service cable and the load-bearing rope, and to unwrap the securing member from the service cable and load-bearing rope as either of them is recovered. The securing member is wound around the service cable and the hoist rope, to hold the service cable relative to the load-bearing rope and to reduce the extent of creeping of the service cable down the load-bearing rope. The securing member can be planar, in the form of a strip, tape or ribbon, or can have a circular cross-section, in the form of a rope. In preferred embodiments, the securing member is resilient and is applied to the rope in tension.

  • Patent number: 6877687
Abstract: A direct current powered hose rewinding apparatus for use with an associated flexible hose includes a removable, replaceable, and rechargeable battery assembly for motorized rewinding of the hose. The reel is carried by and enclosed within an enclosure and is rotatable by either a direct current powered motor or a folding manual crank. Power from the electrical motor is transferred to the reel via an infinitely adjustable torque transfer assembly. The enclosure has left and right wall panels, front and rear wall panels extending between the left and right wall panels, and a cover. When the cover is in the open position, the direct current motor is operationally locked out, and when the cover is rotated into the closed position, the direct current motor is operable.
