Patent number: 10858765Abstract: A work station of a textile machine includes a plurality of fiber-guiding work elements that are divided into at least two groups. A first work station part is defined at the work station on which a first group of the fiber-guiding work elements is arranged. A second work station part is defined at the work station on which a second group of the fiber-guiding work elements is arranged. The second work station part is arranged in a movable manner relative to the first work station part at the work station or is arranged in a removable manner at the work station. A pneumatic thread storage element is also provided for a work station of a textile machine for the temporary receiving of a thread, and includes a multi-part structure with a first thread storage section and a second thread storage section connected to one another at a separation point.Type: GrantFiled: October 18, 2017Date of Patent: December 8, 2020Assignee: Maschinenfabrik Rieter AGInventors: Thomas-Georg Meier, Robert Hagl, Thomas Gruber, Lubomir Molacek

Patent number: 6804945Abstract: An open-end rotor spinning machine having at least two identical work stations, wherein each work station comprises an open-end spinning device for producing a yarn, a winding device with a creel, a yarn cross-winding device for producing a cheese, a vacuum-chargeable, pivotably seated suction nozzle having a yarn catch element arranged thereon, a device for preparing a yarn for piecing, and a stationary yarn guide device wherein the stationary yarn guide device and the yarn catch element are cooperatively arranged for retrieving the yarn from the cheese and transferring the yarn to the open-end spinning device.Type: GrantFiled: August 8, 2002Date of Patent: October 19, 2004Assignee: W. Schlafhorst AG & Co.Inventor: Paul Straaten

Patent number: 6702223Abstract: A winding head of a cheese-producing textile machine, having a device for the accurate determination of the length of yarn traveling through a measuring head (7), and having an evaluating device for accumulating the yarn lengths that have passed. The winding head has a device for determining yarn length portions which are removed in the course of a yarn connecting process. The evaluation device is adapted to subtract the removed yarn lengths from the total length of the yarn (2) which has passed through the measuring head.Type: GrantFiled: April 15, 2002Date of Patent: March 9, 2004Assignee: W. Schlafhorst AG & Co.Inventors: Andreas Krüger, Christian Sturm

Patent number: 6637695Abstract: A method of winding the yarn traveling at a work station of a spinning bobbin winding machine or of a bobbin winding machine from a yarn source onto a take-up bobbin (4). After each yarn interruption, the yarn end is unwound from the take-up bobbin (4), a yarn joinder reconnects the yarn source and the take-up bobbin (4) and the winding process is then continued if a tolerable yarn joining location is present. Upon the occurrence of each yarn interruption, the amount of yarn wound since the last yarn joinder is determined. If such amount of yarn is determined to be less than a predetermined amount of yarn, a sufficient amount of yarn is unwound and separated from the take-up bobbin (4) to include the last-occurring yarn joining location in the separated yarn section. This results in an optical improvement in the quality of the finished textile product.Type: GrantFiled: December 14, 2001Date of Patent: October 28, 2003Assignee: W. Schlafhorst AG & Co.Inventors: Wilhelm Oehrl, Bert Hurtz, Wolfgang Dörner, Gudrun Doss

Publication number: 20030038206Abstract: An open-end rotor spinning machine having a plurality of work stations, wherein each work station comprises an open-end spinning device for manufacturing a yarn, a winding device with a creel, a yarn traversing device for producing a cheese, a pivotably supported, vacuum-chargeable suction nozzle, an individual drive for pivoting the suction nozzle between a yarn take-up position in the area of the winding device and a yarn transfer position in the area of a spinning piecing member, and a device for preparing a yarn end required for restarting spinning. Each work station comprises a winding device with a drive drum driven by a reversible individual drive for driving a cheese and with a yarn traversing device driven by an individual motor for defined placement of the yarn running up onto the cheese, a yarn withdrawal device, and a work-station computer for controlling the individual drives and individual motors.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 8, 2002Publication date: February 27, 2003Applicant: W.
