Abstract: A bag dispensing apparatus and a bag dispensing system are disclosed. The bag dispensing apparatus includes a housing, a bag retaining mechanism, and a bag locking mechanism. A roll of bags is stored in the bag dispensing apparatus and a leading bag of the roll of bags can be directly hanged on the bag dispensing apparatus for use. The storage and use of the bags are cleverly integrated to save the space, and the operation is more convenient.

A power roller is connected to the motor and an idle roller is face-to-face with the power roller. The paper product passes between the power roller and the idle roller. A paper sensor is positioned below the power roller to detect the presence or absence of the paper product. A thermopile sensor is also provided to detect the presence of a human being adjacent to the dispenser.

Abstract: An improved towel dispenser includes a rotatable driveshaft mounted in a one-way clutch bearing fitted with a pinion which engages a vertically oriented press bar assembly including at its lower portion a rack which engages the pinion to advance paper towel through a dispensing nip upon pivotable motion of the press bar assembly. A dispensing chute located below the dispensing nip includes a lower shelf configured to direct web forwardly toward the front portion of a dispenser. The gear rack is preferably an internal gear rack integrally formed with a unitary press bar assembly member. The dispensing chute is configured such that an angle between a cutting-blade and the outer lip of the shelf makes an angle with a vertical of at least about 25°.

Abstract: The present invention concerns a paper dispenser comprising a housing holding at least one paper supply and a dispensing mechanism within said housing, the dispensing mechanism having a rotatable dispensing drum. The dispenser further comprises a turn knob coupled with the dispensing drum, the turn knob having an inner hub, and a wrap-spring clutch wrapped around the inner hub. The wrap-spring clutch has a first arias extending from it and being attached to a stationary point for causing the wrap-spring clutch to slightly unwind when the turn knob is rotated in the first direction. Characteristically of the invention, the wrap-spring clutch comprises a second arm extending from it, while a stopper is located in the second arm's rotational travel path in a second rotation direction for enabling the turn knob to be rotated in the second direction against a limited braking force.

The dispenser includes an anti-free wheel mechanism incorporated therein to prevent the towel material from being pulled out of the dispenser without activating a dispensing mechanism. By preventing towel material from pulled out of the dispenser, excessive towel useage is prevented, thereby preventing towel material wastage. The anti-free wheel mechanism includes a latch that is secured to a pivoting lever of a dispensing mechanism, with the latch engaging with a dispensing gear of the dispensing mechanism to prevent rotation thereof when the lever is at its upper position. The latch is designed to disengage from the dispensing gear as the lever starts to move downward during a dispensing stroke.
