Abstract: The present invention relates to a holding system for holding sheet material for plotters characterized in that it comprises at least one substantially tubular side holding element (1), at least part of the external surface (2) thereof being tapered. Furthermore, said side holding element (1) comprises a longitudinal opening (7) and has internal chamfers at one of its ends (4). As a result of the thickness and the tapering of the external surface thereof, the side holding element hold the sheet material and, simultaneously, ensures that there is a gap between the winder tube and the sheet material wound on said tube, which facilitates its removal from the tube.

  • Publication number: 20100163667
Abstract: A portable cable and wire dispensing apparatus, used to avoid the time-consuming, process of carrying multiple spools of cable and/or wire to a work site. The apparatus features a central cable and wire containment chamber and a cable and wire spool mounting bar within the containment chamber. The apparatus allow for the individual movement of each spool of cable or wire, preventing the unwanted unraveling of cable and/or wire from other spools that was not intended for current extraction. The outer case about the cable and wire spools provides additional protection from the elements, preventing possible early decay of the cable and/or wire resting in the apparatus containment chamber.

  • Patent number: 7661623
Abstract: The present invention is an improved cable/cord storage device. The cable management device includes first and second expanded regions, a medial region, and at least one channel with a resealable slit. The first and second expanded regions are respectively wider than the medial region. The at least one channel includes an opening on the first region, an opening on the medial region, and an internal cavity therebetween. The internal cavity may be intentionally exposed via a resealable slit to allow a cable to be routed through the internal cavity between the openings. Upon release, slit automatically reseals, thereby reliably supporting the cable. A second embodiment includes two such channels, one in each expanded region. An improved embodiment features transition zones at the origin and terminus of each channel, a rounded edge to each slit, and transitioning curvature of the medial region.

  • Patent number: 7243875
Abstract: A tightly rolled sleeping bag. The tightly rolled sleeping bag is rolled using conventional equipment, but pressure is applied to an end of the sleeping bag so as to cause the sleeping bag to be more tightly rolled than previous sleeping bags. Rolling tines for a rolling machine for rolling the sleeping bag are tapered so as to aid in removal of the tightly rolled sleeping bag. A storage sack is provided for holding the sleeping bag. The storage sack is configurable between a first arrangement where the storage sack holds the sleeping bag in the tight configuration, and a second arrangement where the storage sack may be released and expands to hold the sleeping bag in a less tightly rolled configuration. To provide such a function, an expansion section is provided on the storage sack. A closure is provided on the expansion section.

  • Publication number: 20040108407
Abstract: A spool for winding an optical fiber includes flanges attached to each other using an ultrasonic fusion splicer. The spool has first and second cylindrical barrels, on which the optical fiber is wound. The flanges have a disk shape and protrude radially from the first and second cylindrical barrels so as to restrict the winding area of the optical fiber. Ultrasonic fusion splicing points form along a junction by engaging the first and second cylindrical barrels in an axial direction so as to face each other, locating a head of an ultrasonic fusion splicer on the junction and generating an ultrasonic wave from the head to the junction so as to fusion splice the first and second flanges together.
