Abstract: A device for transferring a film from a tape carrier to a substrate. The device, otherwise known as a tape applicator, has a housing in which are arranged a supply wheel for the tape carrier coated with the film, and a take-up wheel (displaced radially with respect to the supply wheel) for receiving the tape carrier once the film has been separated therefrom. An application device, projects from the housing and presents the side of the tape carrier coated with film to the substrate. A drive connection together with a slip coupling is formed between the supply wheel and the take-up wheel by a friction drive, in which, when the supply wheel is driven by drawing off the tape carrier, the drive connection drives the take-up wheel at such a rotational speed that the tape carrier remains always tensioned. In order to improve the transfer of torque between the wheels, the wheels each have at least one disc-shaped wheel wall.

Abstract: In a coating film transfer tool in which a transferable film is carried by a tape base, tape breakage and non-uniform film application due to twisting are avoided by providing the tape supply and take-up reels in a cassette which also includes a fixed transfer head and mounting shafts. The cassette is disposed in a casing with its transfer head protruding out of the casing, and with its mounting shafts supported in bearings in the casing so that the cassette and transfer head can rotate relative to the casing. Since the tape cassette is rotatable integrally with the tape and the transfer head, when the transfer head is rotated to follow a tape-receiving surface, the tape does not become twisted.

Abstract: A dental floss dispenser having the external appearance of an automobile. The dispenser includes a cavity accessible by inverting the dispenser, which cavity receives a spool of dental floss. The dental floss is then dispensed through an opening in the cavity, which opening exits in the engine compartment of the automobile. The engine compartment may be opened for accessing the dental floss, and then closed after use, so that the floss is not visible to an observer.

Abstract: A coat transfer tool includes a case having a plate-shaped part, a feed reel provided in the case and wound with a coat transfer tape, a takeup reel provided in the case, for taking up the carrier tape fed by the feed reel, and an applying strip disposed on the path of the tape running between the feed reel and the takeup reel and pressed against a surface of a substrate. An elastic pressing arm protrudes from the plate-shaped part of the case to be kept in contact with a surface of the applying strip and to elastically press the applying strip in a direction substantially vertical to the surface.

Abstract: A reel arrangement (8) for a device for transferring a film (2) located on one side of a foil tape (1) to a substrate, comprising a feed reel (4) for the foil tape (1), a take-up reel (5) for the foil tape (1) after the film (2) has been transferred, said take-up reel being coaxial with the feed reel (4), and a friction coupling (9) between the two reels (4, 5) so as to drive the take-up reel (5) from the feed reel-(4) side under slipping, wherein the friction coupling (9) comprises radially resilient arms (30) which are non-rotationally connected with the feed reel (4) and which engage an end face groove (26) on the take-up reel (5) by means of engaging projections (28), the engaging projections (28) frictionally abutting the groove walls (32, 33).

Abstract: A correction tape leading end protector installed in a correction tape roller device is provided. According to conventional art, the whole main body should be moved in order to protect the leading end of the correction tape, which needs much force and is difficult to handle it with one finger. The protector which is installed in a correction tape roller device includes a guide groove which is formed lengthwise along both the sides near the end of the tape guide, guide protrusions which are installed in parallel and spaced by a predetermined distance near the end of the tape guide, for preventing the correction tape from being beyond a predetermined path, and a moving cap surrounding the guide protrusions to protect the correction tape passing between the guide protrusions, and installed to be moved by a predetermined distance along the guide groove to cover the leading end of the correction tape as necessary.

Abstract: A multi-use tape dispenser includes a housing with an open upper side, a tape dispenser body placed on the housing and secured with an upper engage circumferential edge of the housing engaging with a bottom engage circumferential edge of the tape dispenser body. Then small stationery items may be stored in a hollow space of the housing and expose to be taken out for use when the tape dispenser body is taken off the housing. The bottom of the housing has four suction discs engaged in four holes of the bottom of the housing to secure the tape dispenser on a table by suction.

Abstract: A device for storing, transporting and feeding a roll-forming web of printing material for a machine for processing it, includes a receptacle for the roll, and a housing manipulatable in a manner analogous for a pallet, the housing being disposed for receiving and surrounding the roll, from which the web of printing material is unwindable.

Abstract: A tape dispenser that dispenses and applies tape to a first surface, wherein an edge of the tape is precisely positioned either flush or a predetermined distance from an adjacent second surface. The tape dispensing system of the present invention allows for bi-directional application of tape to the first surface and is particularly well suited for applying tape both around and into corners. The tape dispenser system further provides for an automatic alignment of an outer edge of a roll of tape relative to the dispenser frame independent of the thickness of the roll of tape.

Abstract: A storage device for light strands includes a hollow housing having a shaft rotably mounted therein. The housing includes a bottom wall, a pair of opposing side walls, a rear wall, an open top and an open front. Attached to the front edge of the bottom wall is a flap formed of a plurality of foldable sections having a tongue extending from a leading edge thereof. The flap may be folded about the housing to selectively enclose the open front and top. A hand crank is rotatably mounted to the side wall of the housing and is attached to the shaft for selectively rotating the shaft to wind a light strand therearound. A pair of retaining bands are mounted to the shaft, each for securing the end of a light strand thereto.

Abstract: A hand-operated appliance (1) for transferring a film from a carrier tape (7) to a substrate is proposed, this having a casing (2), an interchangeable cassette (3) which can be inserted in the casing (2), a supply spool (4) for a carrier tape (7) coated with a film and a wind-up spool (5) for taking up the carrier tape (7) separated from the film, both spools being held in the interchangeable cassette (3), an applicator device (6) which deflects the carrier tape (7), projects out of the casing (2) and presents the side of the carrier tape (7) which is coated with the film to the substrate, and a drive connection (8) provided with a slip coupling (9) between the supply spool (4) and the wind-up spool (5) which, as the supply spool (4) is driven by drawing off the carrier tape (7), drives the wind-up spool (5) at a rotational speed which is such that the carrier tape (7) always remains tensioned.

Abstract: A hand held film-transferring device for transferring a film made of correction agent, fluorescent agent, or a similar film onto a surface, such as a sheet of paper. In the disclosed invention a film-transferring tape can be kept as a spare without requiring the feed reel and the take-up reel to be integrally united into a fixed set of reels as in the conventional devices, thereby reducing necessary materials and making it easy to store and carry the film-transferring tape. The improvement includes a peg attached to the leading end of the film-transferring tape and the take-up reel. The film-transferring head can be put into a position ready for film transfer by rotating the film-transferring head only 360°, thereby facilitating exchange of the film-transferring tapes.

Abstract: A package of cutting tape for use in cutting a swiftly moving web of paper being spooled into a roll, and transferring the cut web to a new roll. The package includes a plurality of thin discs of wound cutting tape with each disc having one width of tape wrapped upon itself to form a large diameter disc of tape. The discs are separated from each other by spacers. The package is enclosed by a container having an opening to permit unrolling of the tape without imparting any twist thereto.
