  • Patent number: 5868345
Abstract: A toilet paper dispenser includes a base assembly and a slider assembly. The base assembly is fixedly mounted, alongside a toilet, to a support structure such as a vanity. The slider assembly is adapted to slide or translate longitudinally relative to the base assembly. At one end of the slider assembly is located a toilet paper holder. In operation, the slider assembly can be set to a retracted position where the toilet paper roll holder will be stored out of way. When it is desired to use the toilet paper dispenser, the slider assembly may be extended so that someone using the toilet paper may obtain the paper without having to unnecessarily twist or turn.

  • Patent number: 5664740
Abstract: An apparatus for providing a roof structure of the type has a plurality of purlins spaced apart from one another in a parallel arrangement. The space between the vertical portions of adjacent purlins defines an insulation cavity which is generally rectangular in cross-sectional shape. The apparatus includes a carriage movable in a first direction along the length of the purlins for paying out a support sheet for support of insulation material as the carriage travels along the length of the purlins. The apparatus also includes a platform attached to the carriage and extending in the direction opposite the first direction and placed in the insulation cavity. The platform is mounted on the carriage by two pairs of hinges for vertical movement.

  • Patent number: 5378104
Abstract: A device for raising and lowering a paper roll used in a printing press. This device is comprised of an inverted U-shaped frame made up of a horizontal member supported by two vertical members. Two hydraulic cylinders are supported by the horizontal member so that each extends substantially parallel to a vertical member of the frame. A hydraulic power unit is attached to the top of the horizontal member to actuate the hydraulic cylinders. A hydraulic directional control valve controls the direction of flow of hydraulic fluid in order to effectuate the extension and retraction of the hydraulic cylinders and thereby raise and lower the paper roll.

  • Patent number: 5333809
Abstract: A cable take-up and payoff apparatus for the controlled payout of a continuous cable from a reel comprises a pair of laterally movable housings which support a reel on a pair of pintles and are horizontally spaced from one another by a telescoping member. A power mechanism is provided for operating the telescoping member to laterally move the housings toward and away from one another. The housings are also supported for vertical movement along a pair of upstanding masts and a power mechanism is provided for simultaneously moving the housings up and down. The pintles are independently supported for both vertical and horizontal movement relative to the housings and are thereby independently adjustable by power mechanisms into alignment with openings on the axis of the reel of cable.
