Abstract: A seat track cover for a passenger seat of an aircraft is positionable on a seat track. The seat track cover is mechanically coupled at a first end to a seat leg structure of the passenger seat via a pivot joint. The seat track cover is arranged substantially parallel to the seat track and takes up a covering position which covers a seat track located therebeneath when the passenger seat is in its working position. The seat track cover takes up a stowed position in a second state, wherein, in the stowed position, the seat track cover is pivotable out of the parallel plane with respect to the seat track via a pivoting movement about the pivot of the pivot joint. The transition from the covering position to the stowed position takes place via the pivoting movement about the first end of the seat track cover.

  • Patent number: 9067681
Abstract: In herringbone seats of the prior art, armrests on the closed angle side form an obstacle for the passengers in the seat in case of a shock, since the latter are generally projected along the axis of the vehicle and thus towards the armrest thus creating a high risk of injury for the passenger in case of a shock. The present invention provides a secure herringbone arrangement for the armrest of a seat i.e. making it possible to reduce the risk of injuries caused by the armrest, in case of a shock. Therefore, the present invention provides to leave a space between the seating part structure and the armrest to enable the passenger on the seat to be projected along the axis of the airplane in case of a shock without hitting the armrest. More precisely, the aim of the invention is a herringbone arrangement for the armrest of a seat wherein the armrest is angularly shifted with respect to the seat, so as to form a free space between the seat and the armrest.

  • Patent number: 9038946
Abstract: A space efficient lavatory module for commercial aircraft includes an aft facing concave wall recess that provides a greater distance from an upper, forward facing portion of a cabin structure, such as an aircraft passenger seat to avoid having a passenger's head impact the aft facing lavatory or enclosure wall in a sudden aircraft deceleration. The aft facing concave wall recess also provides space for mounting of a protective cushion, in order to reduce a passenger's risk of head trauma in a sudden deceleration, as well as other items, such as a video monitor, a bassinet or infant bed, without inhibiting passenger movement.
