Rotary Armature Patents (Class 246/240)
  • Patent number: 11731601
Abstract: A brake system includes an electromagnetic brake device configured to apply a brake to a rotary shaft when current is not applied to the brake system and release the brake on the rotary shaft when current is applied to the brake system; and a brake release device configured to forcibly release the brake on the rotary shaft when current is not applied to the brake system. The brake release device includes a guide member having a tube shape; a release plate disposed within the guide member and engaged with the armature; and a transfer unit that is configured to move the release plate in a direction in which the rotary shaft extends.

  • Patent number: 9537369
Abstract: A motor includes a rotor module and a stator module. The rotor module includes a plurality of first magnet units, a plurality of second magnet units, a hollow magnetic conductance pillar and a rotating shaft. The first and second magnet units are alternately arranged to form a hollow pillar. An outer surface of the hollow pillar includes a plurality of first surfaces and second surfaces of the first and second magnet units. The first and second surfaces have different magnetic poles. The hollow magnetic conductance pillar and the rotating shaft are disposed in and through the hollow pillar and the hollow magnetic conductance pillar, respectively. The stator module includes a shell and a coil unit. The rotor module is disposed in the shell and the rotating shaft is extended out of the shell. The coil unit is disposed on an inner surface of the shell and around the rotor module.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides an apparatus for switching a vehicle from a first track to a second track. The track-switching device may be rotated by a motor, and may have a drive axle and a primary axle. The drive axle may have a barrel located at one end of the drive axle, the barrel having a plurality of switch tracks located thereon and a braking assembly connected to the drive axle and spaced from the barrel. The primary axle may have a flywheel and a clutch assembly. The drive axle may then be driven by the primary axle upon engagement of the clutch assembly via the motor and the energy stored in the flywheel. A method for switching a vehicle from a first track to a second track is also provided.

  • Patent number: 4695016
Abstract: A slow motion actuating device has a housing with a first opening therein through which an output pin extends. The output pin is connected to a swing arm which is pivotally mounted in the housing and driven by a set of reduction gears. Stops are provided in the housing for limiting movement of the swing arm. An electric motor is mounted in driving relation with the gear set. The motor has a stall current which is low enough to allow the motor to be continuously stalled without damaging it. A printed circuit board is mounted in the housing with a tail portion extending through a second opening in the housing. The circuit board provides electrical connections to the motor and auxiliary contacts which can be opened and closed by a wiper mounted on the swing arm.
