  • Patent number: 9309028
Abstract: A device for expressing a substance from a deformable tube has a casing with a base end, a top portion opposite the base end and side wall portions intermediate the base end and the top portion. A squeezer is received in the casing. The squeezer has two opposing jaws for gripping and expressing a substance from the tube. The casing has an aperture in the top portion through which a discharge outlet of the tube is extendable. The casing also has apertures in opposing parts of the side wall portions through which the jaws can be actuated. The squeezer has a manual lever element on at least one jaw, which is attached to the jaw by a fulcrum so that manual pressure applied to the lever element about the fulcrum causes flexing of the jaw and squeezing of the tube.

  • Patent number: 7661559
Abstract: An apparatus for securing squeezable tubes therein includes a plurality of vertical compartments that are each adapted to hold one squeezable tube. A plurality of moveable front members are adapted to move up or down between an opposite pair of sidewalls to retain an upper portion of the tube in position. An open top allows easy tube insertion or removal while a lower shelf retains the bottom of each tube. A bottom strip ensures that each tube will remain in position. According to a first modification, the interior sidewalls are adjustable to accommodate a variable spacing between them. Modified moveable front members include a variable width to accommodate the variable spacing between the adjustable interior sidewalls. According to a second modification, each tube is retained by a pair of curved side members that narrow toward the bottom of each compartment. An apparatus to secure a tube in an inverted position and to dispense a substance from a bottom opening is described.

  • Patent number: 7410080
Abstract: A holding system for a dispensing system for hardenable materials comprising a dispensing gun and a product cartridge having a dispensing tip defining a dispensing opening. The holding system comprises a holding structure and a plug projection. Optionally, one or more guide ribs may be used. The holding structure comprises a side wall and a bottom wall and defines a main opening and a cartridge chamber. The plug projection extends from the bottom wall into the cartridge chamber. The at least one guide rib extends from the side wall into the cartridge chamber. The cartridge chamber is sized and dimensioned to receive the product cartridge. When the product cartridge is placed into the cartridge chamber, the guide rib is arranged to engage a portion of the dispensing system to facilitate entry of the plug projection into the dispensing opening. Optionally, one or more wall openings may be formed in the holding structure adjacent to the plug projection.

  • Publication number: 20080078892
Abstract: A tube stand has a base with an interior space for receiving a spent portion of a tube, a panel removably attached to the bottom of the base, and a sleeve removably attached to the cover of the base. The sleeve preferably has a pseudo-conical shape with a circular transverse cross-section at its top end and an elliptical transverse cross-section at its bottom end. The sleeve provides vertical support for the upper portion of the tube but is advantageously removed to allow the base to still neatly hold the tube in an accessible manner when it is nearly empty. An alternative embodiment uses a lid with wedge blocks having V-shaped ramp surfaces that guide the end of the tube into a slot, the ramp surfaces providing lateral support for the tube.

  • Patent number: 6382579
Abstract: Disclosed is a support system for an inverted toothpaste tube. The support system has a housing formed of a one piece plastic construction, fabricated of a rigid material selected from the class of rigid materials including plastic, ceramic and metal, preferably plastic. The housing is further provided with a flat circular lower end for being positioned securely on a counter as well as a circular upper end. A frusto-conical exterior surface is located therebetween with a central bore therethrough. The bore has a vertical central axis with the exterior surface at an angle from the vertical axis of the bore. The central bore has a cylindrical lower part of a reduced diameter and a length for receiving the toothpaste cap. The central bore also has a cylindrical upper portion of an enlarged diameter and a length to receive a lower portion of the tube. The bore also has a frusto-conical intermediate section between the upper and lower portions for receiving and supporting the shoulder.

  • Patent number: 6056159
Abstract: A combination of a compact, economical, decorative, rigid, one-piece holder and a squeezable collapsible dispensing tube, where the holder has a supporting base with a planar bottom standing surface to which are attached two side walls such that their substantially planar inner surface face each other and form a substantially upright V-shaped notch. The dimension of the V-shaped notch, such as its height, its top opening width, and the width of the inner surfaces of the side walls, are such that a sufficient length of the bottom section of a full collapsible dispensing tube fits into and is firmly grasped by the V-shaped notch and is securely held in an upright position. These same dimensions should also be sufficient that a partially-emptied, collapsible dispensing tube, which has been flattened and folded a plurality of time--generally about four or five times for a toothpaste tube--fits into and is securely held upright by the notch of the holder.
