Wheeled Patents (Class 248/129)
  • Patent number: 8047553
Abstract: A collapsible folding stand for use with a horizontally oriented object such as a portable table saw that is attached to the stand is capable of being manipulated between open and closed positions. In the open position, the top frame is horizontally oriented. In the closed position, the stand is generally vertically oriented. To move the rolling stand from its open position to its closed position, the user needs only to lift the handle and the top frame will then move to its generally vertical closed position where the latching mechanism can then be engaged. The stand has an integrated support leg that can be selectively positioned and locked to provide increased stability for the stand. The support leg has a locking mechanism, which is operated by a single locking lever and can be adjusted to compensate for wear or degree of force needed to lock the mechanism.

  • Patent number: 8020815
Abstract: The stand has modules to form a support base with elongated support members with wheels or legs. The stand can either incorporate two spaced load supporting posts or a single post extending from a spanner module that connects between the elongated support members. When two load support members are employed the user can step between the posts. When a single post and spanner are employed the user can step as far as the spanner near the center of support. The support members diverge from their centers provide a wide stance of the wheels or legs for stability. At the upper end of the post or posts a load support platform is carried either directly on a single post or through a cross-piece on a two post configuration. T-shaped slots in the post can be utilized to attach loads to the posts and a panel extending between posts.

  • Patent number: 7997553
Abstract: A movable floor system for use with a rotating gantry in a radiation treatment facility is provided that comprises a carriage assembly slidably supported within the gantry to maintain a substantially constant orientation while the gantry is rotating. An extendable/retractable panel assembly is supported on the carriage assembly that includes a plurality of non-movable floor panels and a like plurality of movable floor panels slidably mounted over corresponding ones of the non-movable panels. The movable panels are sized to span a distance between the carriage assembly and a fixed floor of the treatment room. Each of the movable panels has a platform surface for supporting a person for access to and from the patient table situated within the gantry. A control system coordinates the extension and retraction of the movable floor panels to prevent collisions with the radiation nozzle as it rotates during the patient treatment.
