  • Patent number: 9630086
Abstract: A jack for leveling a pool table fits under at least one leg of the table. The jack has a circular base disk and a circular upper disk, with a gear wheel disposed between the disks. Opposing surfaces on the disks and the gear wheel have pairs of cooperating circular ramped grooves therein, with each pair of grooves receiving a ball. A worm gear has teeth in geared connection with the teeth of the gear wheel. Turning the worm gear causes the gear wheel to rotate, which causes the balls to roll in their respective pair of grooves, thus creating an axial motion of the gear wheel and upper disk. By selectively turning the worm gear in a clockwise or counter-clockwise direction, the axial motion may be used to selectively raise or lower the pool table, in order to level the playing surface.

  • Patent number: 8727301
Abstract: A built-in home appliance includes a panel, a rear foot group having a foot shaft, an adjustment shaft which rotates the foot shaft of the rear foot group, and an adjustment mechanism having a movement transfer mechanism to transfer a rotational movement of the adjustment shaft to the foot shaft. The movement transfer mechanism is provided on a rear part of the panel to adjust a height of the rear foot group. A guiding member having a bearing receives the adjustment shaft and is fixed by a fixation piece to the panel to provide the supporting of the adjustment shaft so that the adjustment shaft essentially extends in a parallel relation to the panel and so that the adjustment shaft extends between a rear part and a front part of the panel.

  • Patent number: 8684324
Abstract: A top-adjusting leveling foot for installation on the leg of an object has an adjustment knob, an adjustment knob base with a bottom cavity and a non-circular passage extending axially through the center of the adjustment knob base, a threaded bushing with a top annular flange held within the bottom cavity of the adjustment knob base, and a drive stud assembly including a foot and a drive bar that has a lower threaded portion for engaging a partially threaded interior passage of the threaded bushing, and an upper bar portion sized and configured for engagement with the non-circular passage through the adjustment knob base. Rotation of the adjustment knob in a first direction axially advances the drive bar and lowers the foot and rotation of the adjustment knob in the opposite direction axially retracts the drive bar and raises the foot.

  • Patent number: 8646738
Abstract: The invention relates to a device comprising a base plate and a support for adjusting the height of an assembly, in particular of a galley module in an aircraft, without using tools. According to the invention, two opposing wedge bodies are arranged such that they can be displaced horizontally between the base plate and the support, the oppositely directed manual displacement of the two wedge bodies, when the lock levers have been raised, causes in the “adjusting position” a raising or lowering of the support for the height adjustment. The assembly is connected to the support, for example by a conventional screw connection through the attachment hole in the support. The device according to the invention allows a user to perform a simple and rapid height adjustment of an assembly arranged thereon, thereby greatly reducing the assembly effort required for prefabricated assemblies or modules in aircraft.
