  • Patent number: 6581528
Abstract: A table includes a telescopic leg unit and a positioning mechanism. The telescopic leg unit includes an inner leg post, a tubular outer leg post and a resilient tubular bushing. The positioning mechanism includes a press member, a support member, and an operating lever. The press member is movable in radial inward and radial outward directions relative to the leg unit. The support member is mounted securely on the outer leg post and is formed with a lever coupling hole that is aligned with the press member in a radial direction relative to the leg unit. The operating lever is operable so as to force the press member to move in the radial inward direction and abut against the tubular bushing, thereby enabling the tubular bushing to frictionally engage the inner leg post so as to resist movement of the inner leg post relative to the outer leg post.

  • Patent number: 6550728
Abstract: A height adjustable table, preferably with a circular tabletop which includes a vertically telescoping column to support the tabletop and with the column telescoping between extended and retracted positions. A base supports lower end of the column vertically upright. A locking mechanism is provided within the telescoping column adapted to lock the column against telescoping when the tabletop is rotated in one direction relative the base and to unlock the column when rotated in the other direction. When the table is unlocked, a user may adjust the height of the table either by manually lifting alone or assisted by a lifting mechanism to bias the tabletop upwardly and at least partially bear the weight of the tabletop. A stop mechanism is preferably provided to ensure the table is not extended so far as to disengage the tabletop structure. The base of the table is adapted to be engaged by a user's feet to prevent rotation relative to the tabletop when locking or unlocking.

  • Patent number: 6536723
Abstract: The invention includes a base (21) provided with pairs of fitting hole (25), two each of which are spaced apart and situated facing each other so as to constitute a pair. A pair of rotary shaft portions (28) of each first leg member (27) are rotatably fitted in each pair of fitting holes (25). The two rotary shaft portions (28) are formed on the outer surface of the upper end portion of each first leg member (27) as an integral body therewith so as to extend coaxially. A second leg member (29) is inserted in each first leg member (27) in such a way that the distance by which the second leg member (29) projects from the first leg member (27) can be adjusted. As the top end face of each second leg member (29) can be positioned flush with the top end face of the associated first leg member (27), the invention is capable of improving the telescopic extension ratio of the legs.

Abstract: An adjustable device for adjusting a length of a foldable table leg. The adjustable device covers the upper side of a support frame and comprises a mounting plate, a control rod and an auxiliary spring. The center of the spring resists against the control rod. An adjusting rod is located on the bottom of the support frame. Adjusting holes are formed along the inner bottom of the adjusting rod. Therefore, when one end of the control rod is pressed down and after a hook end of the control rod lifts upwards, the hook of the control rod is disengaged from the adjusting hole of the adjusting rod, enabling the adjusting rod to be adjusted to have an appropriate length. After the control rod is released, the restoring force of the spring causes the control rod to fit into another adjusting hole to accommodate uneven floor surface.

Abstract: The invention provides a telescopic member having an inner cylinder slidably fitted into an outer cylinder in the axial direction and a lock mechanism, placed between the cylinders, for holding relative movements therebetween. A holder is secured to the outer cylinder and allows its inner circumferential surface to slide on the outer circumferential surface of the inner cylinder so that a frictional force is applied to the relative movements between the cylinders. The holder has a braking chamber on the side facing the inner cylinder to contain a friction body that rolls on the circumferential surface of the inner cylinder. The braking chamber has a taper surface so as to have a space that becomes narrower in the push-in direction of the inner cylinder, and first and second moving end surfaces that are separated with a predetermined distance in the push-in direction so as to intersect the taper surface, and is formed into a reversed trapezoidal shape in its cross-section viewed at one side.

Abstract: An adjustable receiver tube includes an elongated tube having a flat resilient strap extending within the tube from the upper end of the cylindrical side wall. A flange at the bottom of the tube will support an IV pole within the tube, and a threaded shaft threaded through an aperture in the side of the tube will move the strip into engagement with an IV pole to hold the pole snugly within the receiver tube. A cushion is preferably mounted in the tube on the flange, to frictionally engage the lower end of the IV pole and prevent rotation, horizontal movement, and prevent damage to the lower end of the IV pole.

Abstract: Devices and methods are described by which antennas can be securely mounted upon rooftops and similar supporting surfaces. Antenna mounts are described that distribute the load associated with the antenna substantially evenly upon the rooftop or other support surface, so that potential damage to the roof structure is reduced or eliminated. In preferred embodiments, the antenna mounts are provided with support legs and load-distributing base members that are substantially devoid of sharp corners or angles. The antenna mounts also provide a platform located above and proximate the base members for the placement of weights to ensure the stability of the antenna mounts. This ensures that the weights are disposed above the roof and are not in contact with it. Connectors and/or adhesives are not required to secure the mount to a rooftop as the weighting is sufficient to provide a stable and wind resistant mount.
