Plural Rod Patents (Class 248/253)
  • Patent number: 10743700
Abstract: The curtain rod wall mount is a fixture used in pairs to support opposing ends of a cylindrical curtain rod between opposing walls of a building or window frame. In a first embodiment, the wall mount includes a helical spring disposed between a fixed plug and a movable plug, the spring being coaxially disposed around a guide screw extending between the plugs, the spring assembly being housed in a tubular sleeve that an end of the curtain rod slides into to bear against the movable plug. A second embodiment is similar to the first, but omits the guide screw. In a third embodiment, the wall mount has a wall plate having a threaded stud extending therefrom. The tubular sleeve has a plug with an internally threaded bore in one end that engages the threaded stub, the other end being hollow to receive an end of the curtain rod.

  • Patent number: 7134470
Abstract: A window cover support device and method of use thereon, wherein the device is non-rotating and comprises a bracket having support members in the form of pairs of upward-facing hooks over which a valance rod or curtain rod may be placed, a box structure for confinement of one end of a miniblind support rod, and also a round or rectangular slotted opening for installation of one end of a shade support rod therein. The bracket is utilized in pairs with a tension rod between same to provide support to the selected window cover or combination of window covers. In furtherance of adhesion to the wall, the present invention incorporates a novel plug-flap device of rubber, or other similar material, suitable for insertion into the end of the tension rod, the plug-flap device providing a large surface area of rubber or similar material under the bracket.

  • Patent number: 6135403
Abstract: A mount for supporting the ends of parallel hung curtain rods has telescoping male and female members pivotally mounted on a base with a tensioning screw. Connectors for receiving the ends of the curtain rods are mounted on remote ends of the telescoping male and female members. The distance between the connectors and the angle of an axis intersecting the connectors can be adjusted by loosening the tensioning screw and then tightening it to fix the connectors and, hence, the curtain rods in a desired disposition.

  • Patent number: 5082226
Abstract: A bracket supportable on a trim member of a window or door. The bracket can be installed with only a few, if any, tools. The bracket provides for installation of opposing bracket with little, if any, measurement required. The bracket when assembled, includes a substantially rigid sub-structure that is at least partially supportable by an adjacent wall portion. This sub-structure is cantilevered off the end of the trim member and does not cover the face of the trim member. A support flange can be added to spread the wall support of the bracket over a larger wall surface area.
