Abstract: A conduit attachment device is disclosed for use with a trapeze for providing for the placement and suspension of apparatus between existing structural members of an overhead structure. In one embodiment, the conduit attachment device includes a body having four sides formed of a continuous sheet with three bends in an open-ended rectangular box design. A fastening join joins two sides of the continuous sheet. A window including first and second substantially continuous U-shaped engagement surfaces adapted to form a friction fit with a conduit is located at one of the ends. Two sizes of threaded openings are located on opposite sides of the body for mating with two different sizes of threaded suspension rod. Another threaded opening is located in the body for mating with a set screw that further secures the conduit.

Abstract: Systems, assemblies, and devices for mounting an exercise apparatus to a door. More particularly, an exercise system is mounted to opposing corners of a door and directed diagonally across a door. A bracket engages the door corner and is oriented to directed tension members of the exercise system at a diagonal across a front surface of the door. The bracket includes a door mount for coupling the bracket to four surfaces of the door. The bracket includes an exercise device mount adapted to couple to tension members, pulleys, or other exercise devices. The exercise device mount defines a mounting axis that is non-parallel and non-perpendicular relative to a top edge surface of the door.

Abstract: A connecting device is used in combination with a heat exchanger. The heat exchanger has orthogonally oriented first and second mount members. The connecting device includes a body having opposed first and second sidewalls. A first sidewall extension is integrally connected to and extends orthogonally with respect to the first sidewall, and includes a first planar mount surface. A second sidewall extension is integrally connected to and extends orthogonally with respect to the second sidewall. The second sidewall extension is oppositely facing with respect to the first sidewall extension and includes a second planar mount surface. A mounting wall extension is integrally connected to and extends orthogonally with respect to the first and second sidewall extensions and includes a third planar mount surface. The first, second and third planar mount surfaces are oriented coplanar with respect to each other and are connected to the first mount member using brazing joints.

Abstract: In some of the embodiments described, a display apparatus can be applied to a package to facilitate hanging of the package. The display apparatus may also seal the package. In some embodiments, the display apparatus has three flat panel-like branches, where an upper branch protrudes upwards and has a hole from which the display apparatus can be hung, a lower branch protrudes downwards and can be affixed to a tuck flap of a package top, and a closure branch can be rotated downwards to be affixed to an exterior face of the side of the package, thereby sealing it. When the upper branch is hung from a support, the lower branch and closure branch support the package by their affixation thereto, thereby facilitating its display.

Abstract: A hard disk drive mounting bracket allows for attaching multiple hard disk drives to a chassis and uses pre-existing chassis hardware, resulting in more efficient user of chassis space. A hard disk drive mounting bracket includes a base sheet. The base sheet includes a front region, a rear region, and a pair of side regions. The hard disk drive mounting bracket also includes a pair of support flanges disposed opposite one another in the side regions of the base sheet. The support flanges defining a receiving space that receives a plurality of hard disk drives. Each support flange includes a first end and a second end. Each first end and second end includes a mounting aperture.

Abstract: A subassembly is positioned transverse in between two adjacent roof elements or wall elements. The subassembly includes a bracket; a construction element; and a fastener securing the bracket to the construction element. An extension tab of the bracket extends over a top surface of a roof element or a wall element. Multiple ones of the brackets installed in a roof element or a wall element define a line of compression blocking.

The frame assembly includes a frame having an inner face defining an air channel, and a plurality of connection members disposed in the air channel. Each connection member has first and second ends. The supporting member has an inner surface defining a through-hole, and an outer surface coupled with the second ends of the connection members. An opening portion and a coupling portion are formed at two sides of the through-hole. Abstract: A system of increased safety when performing work using a ladder is described. The system includes a ladder bracket for temporarily attachment of a ladder to a structure to stabilize or secure the ladder. The bracket is easy to install and acts to limit or prevent slippage of the ladder laterally or away from the structure and generally promotes a greater margin of safety. In addition, the system includes a bracket for temporarily, yet securely, attaching a safety railing to a ladder. A guardrail carriage for securing a person to a rail via a tether is further provided.

Abstract: An electrical box support assembly for mounting an electrical box between a pair of studs is provided. The electrical box support assembly includes, but is not limited to, a pair of telescoping overlapping struts and a pair of engaging tabs detachably coupled with each end of the pair of telescoping overlapping struts. Each strut has a face to which the electrical box may be secured. Each of the pair of engaging tabs includes a first engagement member for primarily engaging a closed face of one of the studs and a side engagement member connected generally perpendicular with the first engagement member. Each end of the pair of telescoping overlapping struts may be detachably coupled at one of two positions on each engaging tab in order to accommodate electrical boxes of varying depths.

Abstract: A cable tray expansion splice plate for connecting first and second cable tray sections end-to-end is disclosed. The splice plate includes an elongate body having a central section, an upper flange section, and a lower flange section. In one embodiment, the lower flange section defines a channel for receiving components of the first and second cable tray sections such that the lower flange section underlies the components. Fastener openings in the central section receive fasteners to fasten the body to the cable tray sections. These openings include slots which permit the cable tray sections to move relative to one another in a longitudinal direction.

Abstract: Aspects of the invention are directed to a connector that connects a first flat member and a second flat member. The connector can include a support portion, a first arm, connected to the support portion, and defining a first arm channel. The connector can also include a second arm, connected to the support portion, and defining a second arm channel, the second arm being apart from the first arm. An opening is defined, in part, by an edge of the support portion, and edge of the first arm and an edge of the second arm. Also, the first arm channel an the second arm channel and the support portion are shaped and configured such that the first flat member can be positioned, in part, within the first arm channel, and extend through the opening, and the second flat member can be positioned, in part, in the second arm channel.

Abstract: A structure is provided for coupling items such as signs, birdhouses and cameras to a fixed support structure is disclosed. Various mechanisms for attachment to a variety of supporting structures are described. The structure firmly holds an item in place, and the structure is capable of secure attachment to a variety of supporting structures.

Abstract: This invention allows attachment of strut channels 2, pipes, conduit, and mounting of equipment to the interior of buildings and other structures. Attachment to structures such as I-Beams, channels, structural angles, purlins and truss structures are improved. Extended use of self tapping screws 28 and commonly used metal strapping are enabled. The use of dimpled holes 7 facilitate insertion of self tapping screws 28 thus expanding their function. Tab cut outs 6 in attachment hardware that allow strapping to pass and hook provide new and efficient methods for using standard strapping. New mounting hardware in combination with beam clamps, another invention of mine, use the beam clamps along with appropriate accessories, which are part of that invention, to provide new methods of attachment. Strut channels 2 are changed to integrate the use of these improvements.

Abstract: A bracket for mounting a sliding drawer or tray to a frame includes: a main panel; a front panel connected and generally normal to the main panel; a floor panel connected and generally normal to the main panel; a front lip connected to the front panel and extending generally parallel to the main panel; and a floor lip connected to the front panel and extending generally parallel to the main panel. In this configuration, the bracket can facilitate precise but simple mounting of the drawer.

Abstract: A coupler for coupling two posts end-to-end has ninety degree flanges and two reverse wrap ends. The coupler is slid one-half way over the ends of one formed post, comprising two flanges, with the reverse wrap holding the post flanges. Another flanged post is inserted into the coupler to engage the end of the first post, the coupler holding the posts end-to-end. An alternate embodiment coupler is disclosed.

Abstract: A cam lock mechanism for securing a conduit cover to a conduit body includes a fastener extending from a cam lock. The fastener includes a fastener shaft situated between a fastener head and the cam lock. The fastener may include a flare portion, allowing the fastener to be secured to the cam lock by inserting the flare portion into a cam lock opening and deforming the flare portion. The cam lock may include an at least partially helical cam lock outer portion extending radially outwardly farther than the fastener shaft. When the cam lock mechanism is used to secure a conduit cover to a conduit body, the conduit cover is brought closer to the conduit body as the cam lock mechanism is rotated. A cam lock stopper, such as an upward bend, may be provided in the cam lock to resist overturning of the cam lock mechanism.

The gutter hanger is positioned intermediate the inner wall and the support surface, oriented in a downward direction, and the retainer is positioned atop the inner wall. A method for installing a gutter hanger system includes the steps of providing a gutter, providing a support surface to which an inner wall of the gutter is attached, inserting a gutter hanger intermediate the support surface and the inner wall of the gutter, and retaining a top end of the gutter hanger on the inner wall of the gutter.

The vehicle-specific bracket system design provides for easy driver-line-of-sight device-interaction without causing interference with vehicle operation, windshield visibility, ventilation, or switch controls.

Abstract: A bracket system for assembling playground equipment includes a plurality of deck support brackets, at least two vertical frame brackets, at least two horizontal frame brackets, a swing bracket, and at least two ladder brackets. The deck support brackets secure horizontal deck support beams to vertical frame beams at first points along the vertical frame beams. The vertical frame brackets attach to at least two adjacent vertical frame beams at second points above the first points. The at least two horizontal frame brackets fix at least one horizontal frame beam to the at least two adjacent vertical frame beams at the second points; the horizontal frame brackets and the vertical frame brackets interconnect. The swing bracket fastens a swing support beam to the at least one horizontal frame beam at a third point along the at least one horizontal frame beam. The at least two ladder brackets connect a ladder to one of the horizontal deck support beams.

Abstract: An embodiment of the present invention provides a conduit tray that supports various types of conduits. A plurality of cam rungs are positioned within C-channels of the brace members of the conduit tray. Alternative embodiments of the present invention include a brace to retain a cam body member, a cam member to mate with a brace, a cam connector to matingly connect a member therein, a brace and rung structure, and associated methods.

Abstract: Devices and methods for preventing baseboard tilt associated with fastening a baseboard to a wall panel having a recessed edge. A baseboard support includes a corner bracket having first and second upright base members and having one or more flaps extending from an upright edge a base member. Each flap forms a flap angle with an adjacent portion of the bracket. Each flap is attached to the bracket at a resilient flap corner, or flap hinge. The baseboard support can be positioned in a corner in an upright position. A first baseboard can be positioned so that the baseboard end engages the first upright base member. A second baseboard can be positioned to engage the second upright base member, forming a mitered joint between the two baseboards. The baseboard support provides a stop that prevents each baseboard from tilting away from its corresponding wall panel and creating an unsightly gap. The flap or flaps allow the baseboard support to stand freely in the interior corner prior to baseboard positioning.

The mounting bracket includes a first mounting section to receive a first alarm notification device and a second mounting section to receive a second alarm notification device. The second mounting section defines an enclosure which houses the electrical wires connected between the alarm notification devices.

Abstract: The invention relates generally to a bracket adaptable to mount upon a wall stud and resist displacement of the bracket in response to external forces, thereby maintaining one or more securely enclosed conductors at least a fixed distance from an installed sheet of drywall. A mounting portion is shaped to permit fastening to a wall stud. A lateral support portion is attached to the mounting portion and at an angle relative to the mounting portion such that upon fastening of the bracket to the wall stud an edge of the lateral support portion engages the wall stud and resists displacement of the bracket. The lateral support portion includes an aperture wherein the conductors may be placed such that they extend substantially parallel to the plane of the wall stud, and are also thereby positioned at least a fixed distance from the plane of the sheet of drywall.

Abstract: A cable tray expansion splice plate for connecting first and second cable tray sections end-to-end is disclosed. The splice plate includes an elongate body having a central section, an upper flange section, and a lower flange section. In one embodiment, the lower flange section defines a channel for receiving components of the first and second cable tray sections such that the lower flange section underlies the components. Fastener openings in the central section and the lower flange section receive fasteners to fasten the body to the cable tray sections. These openings include slots which permit the cable tray sections to move relative to one another in a longitudinal direction.

Abstract: An article of flashing for a deck includes a channel with a back leg, a first side leg, and a second side leg and further includes an attachment flange fixedly connected to the channel where the channel is adapted to receive decking. A deck flashing system includes a deck with a surface and at least one edge, decking forming the surface of the deck, and flashing extending along the at least one edge, the flashing having a channel adapted to receive the decking. A method of trimming a deck includes erecting deck framing, installing decking on the framing, and installing flashing on at least one edge or the entire perimeter of the deck.

Abstract: A connector for securing a horizontally extending member of a sloped roof at a selected angle relative to an upright member of the sloped roof includes a first portion adapted for secure engagement with the upright member and a second portion adapted for secure engagement with the horizontally extending member. An angular measurement section extending from the first portion and having multiple visible features thereon is usable to secure the connector to the upright member at a selected angle by aligning a selected visible feature with a portion of the upright member. Each visible feature corresponds to a selected angular relationship, such that a desired angle between the horizontally extending member and the upright member can be provided through selective alignment of a corresponding visible feature of the connector with the upright member.

The aperture is shaped to provide access to an electrical box mounted to the first plate, and further includes first and second pairs of diagonally opposite corners. A second plate extends rearward and substantially perpendicular to the first plate and located proximate a first side of the aperture. The first plate further includes one or more fastening portions and a plurality of mounting holes disposed about the fastening portions. One or more of the mounting holes are positioned for mounting the bracket to a vertical structural member adjacent either of two opposite sides of the bracket or a horizontal element adjacent a third side of the bracket, maintaining a particular bracket orientation.

Abstract: A sleeve bracket assembly has a frame and multiple first sleeve mounts. The frame has a first sleeve track having a groove. Each first sleeve mount has a base and a hollow positioning button protruding from a top surface of the base and having a retractable protrusion or a flange. The cross section of the base or the positioning button of each first sleeve mount is round, so sleeves can be rotated. The protrusions and the flanges can securely position the sleeves. Accordingly, the sleeve bracket assembly can position the sleeves firmly and also allow the sleeves to be rotated.

Abstract: An extendable and retractable column which is formed from at least three linked sections. The linked sections include a plurality of individual sections linked end to end. As the linked sections are extended, each of the individual sections of the linked chains engage individual sections of adjacent linked chains to form a column. As the linked sections are retracted, each of the individual sections of the linked chains disengage from the individual section of the adjacent linked sections and the individual linked sections may be rolled up for compact storage.

Abstract: A bracket for transporting and assembling an actuation system of a servo-assisted mechanical gearbox, which actuation system presents a plurality of reciprocally connected assemblies; the bracket presents a first part adapted to support a first assembly of the actuation system and at least a second part, which is adapted to support a second assembly of the actuation system and is movable with respect to the first part.

Abstract: A support bracket that is stable in multiple dimensions includes a flat support platform and a coupling flange connected to an end of the support platform. A mount flange is connected to an end of the coupling flange, with a hole being formed in the mount flange. An L-shaped hook member extends away from an edge of the mount flange. The hook member is advanced into a slot in a support substrate and slid until it abuts an end of the slot, with the mount flange disposed flush against the support substrate. A fastener is then advanced through the mount flange and into the support substrate. This combination of structure securely holds the bracket on the substrate.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a novel suspension device used in producing a composition, such as, but not limited to, a polyimide composition. The suspension device in its most general form comprises a support element and an attachment element. The attachment element is in communication at one of its ends with the support element and at the other with a workpiece, such as a poly(amic acid) or polyimide workpiece. The suspension device may further comprise additional elements. The suspension device maintains the workpiece in a suspended state during processing so as to reduce or eliminate processing-related defects.
