  • Patent number: 6499766
Abstract: A media folder or book binder provided with a rotor having elastic bands stretched between pins on its opposite ends has mounting brackets which are mechanically fastened to the spine of the folder. The brackets have trunnions facing inwardly toward the opposite ends of the rotor to journal the rotor. An important aspect of the invention is that each bracket is provided with a shroud which inhibits or prevents bands from disengaging with their supporting pins as a folded sheet is removed from or installed on the rotor under a strand of the band. In effect, winding-up of the bands during relative lateral movement of a sheet still occurs, but the adverse twisting affect of enabling the bands to slip off pins is prevented. The folder has straps fixed thereto and preferably formed integrally therewith at opposite ends of the folder's spine. These straps interact with latches on the mounting brackets to firmly hold the brackets in place mechanically.

  • Patent number: 6318693
Abstract: A concrete floor of a portable storage building is made for one or more storage units with each unit including a floor made through use of a single pair of mold sections or a plurality of pairs of mold sections interconnected for multiple storage units. Each mold section has a raised center and a circumferencial channel with concrete being poured onto the raised center and into the circumferencial channel. Removable exterior mold side walls complete the floor mold. A jack bracket is removably attachable to the floor corners and in turn is engageable with a hydraulic jack for raising and lowering the floor for loading onto the flatbed of a truck for transport to a remote site of use. A chain hoist connected to a top edge of a building wall panel is used to pivot the wall panel to a raised vertical position as the hoist moves on a rail to the vertical plane of the wall panel when raised.

  • Patent number: 6234430
Abstract: A tool functions as a third hand to supporting a wallpaper border roll at a working height while the wallpaper border roll is unrolled and applied to a wall. The tool has a pole and a tensioning device that lodges the pole against the ceiling. A holder attached to the pole holds the border roll at the application height. As the paper hanger advances along the wall the tool is moved also while maintaining the border roll at the application height. The tensioning device has spring loaded legs that spread apart when the pole is pushed down to dislodge the pole from the ceiling to move the tool along and advance the border. When the pole is released, the spring draws the legs together again lodging the pole against the ceiling.
