Abstract: The present invention relates to a temporary paint brush storage device. The device is designed to hold a paint brush in an upright position within a paint can. The storage device is in the shape of inverted “J” and is coated with a protective material. The storage device is supported by the rim of a paint can and magnetically attaches to a metal ferrule of a paint brush. The storage device may further comprise one or more additional attachment points to store additional paint brushes or painting accessories on the exterior of a paint can.

Abstract: A mounting apparatus and system and method for making the same are provided. The mounting apparatus allows an object to be mounted to a mounting surface via magnetic attractions between different planes of engagement. Through the movement of planes of magnets, an object that is brought in proximity to the mounting apparatus may engage one of the magnetic planes and then be moved further to engage the other magnetic plane, with the combined magnetic force being configured to support the particular object for which the mounting apparatus is designed. The engagement and/or disengagement of the object from the mounting apparatus can thus occur in stages and/or in a tiered manner.

A letter of promotion can be framed, and the device can be attached to a front glass surface of the frame. This way, a coin can be displayed without occupying table space. Abstract: A reusable device for detachably mounting an object to a platform includes a breakaway plate that is mounted to the object and a mounting bracket that is fixed to the platform. The breakaway plate is formed with a circumferential groove, and an o-ring is placed in the groove. A tooth ring having a slight gap is positioned over the o-ring. As a retaining ring is placed over the o-ring and tooth ring and fastened to the mounting bracket, the tooth ring compresses, which causes the o-ring to compress and engage the tooth ring at a breakaway force of the object. When an applied force that is greater than the breakaway force is applied to the object, the o-ring pops out to separate the object and platform. The o-ring durometer is chosen according to the magnitude of breakaway force that is desired by the user.
