In some fixture mounts, the protruding features are slidable along the ledge(s) above which they are received such that the fixture is rotatable relative to the body. In some fixture mounts, at least one of the ledge(s) is tapered such that, as a protruding feature of the fixture that is received above the ledge is moved toward the ledge, the fixture is urged toward the upper surface.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides descriptions of electrical box assemblies for supporting heavy fixtures, such as ceiling fans, and facilitating electrical connections to the fixtures. The electrical box assembly includes an electrical box that allows a connection between the box and electrical conduits and a connection, e.g., a weatherproof connection, with a housing of the fixture. The box has an open front face to house electrical connections between the fixture and wires supplying electrical power to the box via the conduits. The box has a bottom wall and an open front face. A reinforcement member fits within the electrical box and includes a panel shaped to conform to at least a portion of the bottom wall and one or more standoffs extending toward the open front face of the box. When the reinforcement member is positioned within the box, mounting holes in the bottom wall of the box and reinforcement member are aligned to allow the box to be attached to a building structure.

A tubular cut-out is formed within the receptacle and extends down from the opening. The tubular cutout is tapered so that the top section of the tubular cut-out is larger than a bottom section of the tubular cut-out. A plurality of ring members is provided wherein each ring member has an opening formed through a central area thereof, each opening having a diameter approximately equal to a diameter of a pole-type member, each of the plurality of ring members configured to be inserted and held within the tubular cut-out to support a pole-type member in an upright position within the tubular cut-out.

Abstract: A pole type member support device has a receptacle having an opening formed in a top section thereof. The receptacle is tapered so that the top section of the receptacle is smaller than a bottom section of the receptacle. A tubular cut-out is formed within the receptacle and extends down from the opening. The tubular cutout is tapered so that the top section of the tubular cut-out is larger than a bottom section of the tubular cut-out. An adapter is positioned within the tubular cut-out. The adapter is configured to hold a pole-type member in an upright position.

Abstract: An assisting suspension arrangement for suspending a monitoring device, comprising a hook member, a blocking member, and a resilient member is disclosed. The suspension arrangement is configured to adopt an open state and a closed state. The suspension arrangement is configured such that when the monitoring device is suspended by the suspension arrangement, the hook member is adapted to carry the weight of the monitoring device and thereby to move toward the open state; and such that when the load of the weight of the monitoring device is released from the hook member, the resilient member is adapted to move the hook member toward the closed state. A monitoring device comprising such a suspension arrangement is also disclosed.

Abstract: A suspension system for the attachment of a multiple bladed fan, connected beneath the roof of a canopy-styled tent or other overhead structure. The system's bracket is comprised of multiple arms that universally grip the frame of the said canopy-styled tent or overhead structure. Suspension is not limited to a fan, but also other embodiments, each powered by a plug or battery. The bracket is manufactured in polymer or like material. The system's fan blades are comprised of foam, rubber, or other soft matter. The suspension system allows the fan or other attached embodiment's height to be manipulated by a process further shown in this application. The system further includes embodiments for lighting, heating, or the mounting of additional embodiments. The suspension system and its embodiments are portable and may be broken down into a self-contained bag or case for easy transport.

Abstract: An improved support bracket is provided which may include a channel having spaced top and bottom walls and a connecting wall having a first and second end. The bracket may include at least one engagement member for releasably engaging a structural member, such as shelving, and a guide to facilitate attachment of the bracket to the structural member. The connecting wall of the bracket may be bent or angled. Thus, the bracket may releasably engage at least two structural members disposed at an angle relative to each other such that the inner surface of the connecting wall is substantially flush with the outer edge of the structural members. Brackets may be made such that the connecting wall is bent or angled to different degrees.

Abstract: A ceiling fan mounting system (10) is disclosed which includes an upper pre-mounted assembly (12) and a lower hanging assembly (13). The upper pre-mounted assembly includes a mounting plate (14) with a peripheral flange (16) having threaded mounting holes (17) therein. The upper assembly also includes a hanger (21) coupled to the mounting plate and having a stepped ball holding flange (23) with a beveled interior facing surface (24). The lower hanging assembly includes a downrod (29) coupled to a ball joint (31) and a canopy (32). The ball joint is configured to be received within the hanger ball holding flange and has a series of deformable ridges (33). The canopy includes a central opening defined by a central, stepped flange (35) adapted to receive and nest flushly against the exterior of the hanger ball holding flange. The canopy stepped flange fits flushly against the exterior of the hanger ball holding flange so as to encircle the C-shaped holding flange.

The first end of the first portion and the second end of the second portion can be connected together by using a medial connection portion which provides a flush surface. The assembly also has a ground engaging stake with a self centering socket and a plurality of set screws to set the upright. The ground engaging stake utilizes a plurality of moment resisting surfaces to maintain an upright position against both a first and second moment about the ground engaging stake applied by the item load.

Abstract: Modular casket hardware which includes a bracket configured to attach to a casket corner wall surface. The bracket is also configured to be oriented with respect to the casket in a first orientation to attach to the casket wall and a second orientation to attach to the casket corner. A bore in the bracket is configured to receive a casket bar when in the first orientation. Tabs on the bracket are configured to at least partially fit within a portion of the casket bar when the bracket is oriented in the second orientation. A bracket cover could also use other bracket type mechanisms to attach and hold the casket bars to the casket which will support the required weight of a casket at the grave site. Once a bracket and bars are attached, the casket will be able to be shipped without the decorative bracket cover installed. The decorative modular casket bracket cover will be able to be added to the casket at any time.

The canopy has at least one elastic blocker corresponding the at least one locking hole, in assembly, the at least one elastic blocker being embedded in the at least one locking hole.

Abstract: Provided herein is a novel decorative cover that is used for camouflaging a hook concealed therein. The decorative cover is aesthetically pleasing and truly accentuates the beauty of the plant as opposed to being an unsightly distraction. The cover can be easily used with various types of fastening members and each can be interchanged according to the users wishes. Furthermore, the preferred fastening member is adjustable in height and also is interconnected onto a swivel. Whereby, the user can manually rotate the plant to promote overall even growth resultant from regulated exposure to the sunlight.

The system includes a surface mounted assembly and one or more support assemblies releasably secured at any point along a length of the surface mounted assembly. J-shaped bends formed in member(s) of the support assembly fit within T-shaped channels in the surface mounted assembly and react to cantilever force exerted upon the surface mounted assembly by binding within the T-shaped channels, thereby locking in place on the surface mounted assembly. Clips may be secured to the support assembly and tightened to prevent release of the support assembly from a force opposing the cantilevered force. A cantilevered member extending from the support assembly preferably supports a shelf on which objects may be placed. Abstract: A method and apparatus for assembling a selected street pole to a standard sized base is disclosed. The method includes the step of selecting a street pole of a predetermined configuration. Encircling portions, preferably rings consisting of two semi-circular portions, each having a nestable section with each other and a complementary section with the selected street pole are then provided. The encircling portions are nested together on the standard sized base to connect the standard sized base to the selected street pole thereby continuing the appearance finish of the standard sized base while preventing unauthorized access to an interior of the standard sized base. The apparatus includes the encircling portions to connect the standard sized base to the selected street pole.

A semi-circular plate is sized to be fittingly received in a base of the cover with the L-shaped support sandwiched therebetween.

Abstract: A bracket for mounting articles such as shelves, racks and cabinets in a cantilever fashion includes a strip which can be attached to a wall or the like. The bracket further includes two triangular holding components which are designed to be releasably mounted on the strip in such a manner that they are superimposed with one another and project from the strip. The upper holding component carries a clamping plate which is arranged to be located between the holding components. The clamping plate is movable in a direction from the upper holding component towards the lower holding component by moving mechanisms housed in the upper holding component. This allows part of an article to be gripped between the clamping plate and the lower holding component to thereby mount the article on the bracket. A cover may be disposed over each of the holding components. In order to hold the covers in place, the sides of the strip are formed with grooves which can receive protruding portions of the covers.

Abstract: The invention provides a device for use in association with fabric structures. The device comprises a member for sealing engagement with the fabric structure. The member has an inner rigid portion and an outer flexible portion, contiguous to said inner rigid portion. The flange may be affixed to the fabric of the structure, so as not to shift relative to the fabric, by bonding the outer flexible portion of the flange to the fabric of the structure. Mountable to the inner rigid portion is means for supporting a suspended object. The means for supporting a suspended object is adapted to be sealed, that is, it may be made water-tight.

Abstract: A pendent style sprinkler includes a sprinkler body portion and a plug valve assembly having a sleeve secured to a deflector plate on an outlet side of the sprinkler body portion. A clip is wedged between the sprinkler body portion and the deflector plate. The clip includes a peripheral edge or tab portion projecting radially outwardly beyond a peripheral portion of the sprinkler body portion and a peripheral portion of the deflector plate. A ceiling cover is provided having a central portion adapted to contact the clip peripheral edge portion such that the cover is suspended at the central portion on the peripheral edge portion of the clip.

Abstract: An illuminated awning assembly has a frame with an upright rear frame portion having upper and lower frame members and a pair of upright side members extending between respective opposite ends of the upper and lower frame members. A horizontal frame portion has a pair of horizontal side members extending forwardly from the respective junctions of the rear lower frame member and the upright side members, and a lower front frame member extending between front ends of the horizontal side members. A pair of further side frame members are on opposite sides of the frame, each extending from the junction of the lower front frame member and respective horizontal side frame member to the junction of the upper frame member and the respective upright side member.

Abstract: Apparatus for mounting a fan or similar device to the ceiling of a building or mobile home, the invention also includes methods for installation of the apparatus and encompasses related embodiments of the apparatus. The several apparatus embodiments of the invention find utility within differing environments within which the apparatus is to be installed, certain of the embodiments being particularly useful for mounting a fan to the ceiling of a mobile home or the like and certain other embodiments being configured to facilitate mounting within the structural confines of standard building structures having one or more levels. In an embodiment useful for buildings having clearance above ceiling joists, the invention comprises an elongated bar configured to fit over upper surfaces of adjacent joists and to suspend an electrical outlet box beneath the bar with the fan being supported on a hook, double prong mounting bracket, or a hanging bracket.

Abstract: A mechanical stabilizing device for stabilizing a shaft, pipe or similar fixture member. The device comprises a two-part unit slidable along the pipe or shaft. The upper part consists of a canopy housing with an internal female threaded portion. The lower part consists of a male threaded portion with a hex nut adapter which receives set screws. The upper bell housing is moved along the shaft and pushed against the wall or ceiling and the lower adapter portion screwed into the threaded portion of the canopy. The lower adapter portion is then secured to the shaft by the set screws. The upper bell can be upwardly tightened so that the ceiling flange portion of the bell exerts a force against the ceiling. Once tightened, the set screws in the bell can be secured to the shaft and the entire assembly consisting of the canopy, vertical shaft and lower adapter portion are unitized to reduce wobble and application of lateral loads.

Abstract: A chair locking device engageable with a movable member for retaining same in a selected position relative to a stationary support member. The locking device includes a barrel mounted on the stationary member and a plunger within the barrel having an eccentrically mounted pawl on the engagement end thereof movable into and out of a selected one of a plurality of sockets in the movable member in response to movement of a cam follower on the plunger along a cam surface of the barrel. The pawl is mounted on the plunger so that the pawl rotates into a downward position relative to the plunger axis when fully extended into the selected socket. Movement of the cam follower is effected by a handle in engagement with the cam follower and cooperating portions on the cam and lock structure retain the plunger at an end of its travel until relative movement is positively effected by rotating the handle.
