Abstract: An equipment pad generally includes at least four risers and at least four channels. Riser tops extend outwardly and broaden from a central portion of the equipment pad and comprise an equipment support surface. Channel beds and side walls extend outwardly and may curve or bend from the central portion of the equipment pad to comprise a ground support surface. Channel openings together span from 15% to 50% of the perimeter of the equipment pad and allow drainage to exit the channels. The horizontal area of the channel beds comprises from 20% to 50% of the total combined horizontal area of the channel beds and riser tops. Typically, each channel is wider at the channel opening than at the central portion of the equipment pad. The pad's corners typically have a combined length of at least 20% of the perimeter of the equipment pad.

The equipment base can include a first coated substrate including a first part having a first thickness sized to provide the load-bearing support for the equipment, a first elastomer coating the first part, a second coated substrate positioned adjacent to the first coated substrate, the second coated substrate including a second part having a second thickness sized to provide the load-bearing support for the equipment, and a second elastomer coating the second part. A first seam can be formed between the first and second coated substrates to allow for moisture to pass between the first and second coated substrates so that moisture is allowed to seep away from the bottom of the equipment.

Abstract: A safety system for aircraft passenger seats is described. A pallet that can be removably coupled to seats can also be removably coupled to the aircraft floor and one or more brackets, tension fittings, or machined straps that can be coupled to structural beams or components in an aircraft. A keel tension fitting can be attached to a keel beam and then be coupled to the pallet and thereby the seats. By attaching to the keel beam the safety system allows the seating arrangement (pallet and seats) to withstand greater stresses and forces, resulting in increased safety.

Abstract: A reclining chair or the like provides a set of base-mounted extendable arms that extend outward as the chair reclines to brace the chair against tipping. A force-limiting coupler allows the reclining mechanism and the extendable arms to be linked while maintaining different force regimes.

Abstract: A hygienic pallet suitable for use in food manufacturing is formed of a food-grade material. The pallet comprises a load supporting surface extending between pallet edges. The pallet also comprises support lips that extend upward and away from the load supporting surface and in a direction away from a pallet edge. At least two support lips can be separated to form a channel between chamfered edges of the support lips. The support lips support molds or other objects on the load supporting surface during movement of the pallet, while the channels facilitate removal of debris and liquid during use or cleaning of the pallet. The pallet further comprises a section divider that divides stacking sections of the load supporting surface. Stackable molds for food manufacturing can be placed within the stacking areas to transport the mold stacks. A method of manufacturing the hygienic pallet comprises rotational molding.

Abstract: A cutting board having removable grommet feet that protrude entirely through the upper and lower surface of a cutting board. The bottom of the grommet assembly includes a concave recess below the board. The top of the grommet assembly has a convex head above the board. Multiple boards may be stacked wherein the recess of an upper board fits over the head of the lower board providing a stable stacking configuration and ensuring separation between the boards allowing airflow between adjacent, stacked boards. The head of the grommet assembly is supple to push through an aperture or cut out in the board surface for installation and removal.

The liner has at least one stiffening element located opposite a position where a machining operation is performed on the other side of the thin wall. The stiffening element holds the liner away from the thin wall to create a cavity between the liner and the thin wall.

Each first coupling axle includes a first base from which a first extension section extends. The first extension section forms first flexible engagement keys. The base board forms first receiving sections corresponding to the first bases and also forming first track channels corresponding to the first extension sections. Each first track channel forms therein first retention slots corresponding to the first flexible engagement keys. The first bases are movably received in the first receiving slots. The first flexible engagement keys are receivable in the first retention slots to retain the first coupling axles in the base board. The first extension sections have ends fixed in the first secondary boards.

Abstract: Systems and methods which provide improved pipeline mats are provided herein. Such mats may include one or more of a plurality of the inventive features. For example, some embodiments provide for replaceable top surfaces which allow for portions of the mat to be replaced if in need of repairs, e.g. after excessive wear and tear, rotting, and the like. Further, embodiments may include a built-in air wick channel which allows for airflow to travel between stacked mats, thereby reducing the potential for a mat to rot. Some embodiments may also include a structure which allows for the mat to be moved using a forklift. Such structure may include grouser strips which help direct the forklift while also protecting the top surface from wear. Additionally, such structure may include built-in chocks disposed on the lower surface of the mat. These chocks may also facilitate the air wick channel.

Abstract: A pallet for use in transporting merchandise includes a pallet body having a top surface for supporting merchandise. A foot-driven winch is mounted on the pallet body, and a flexible tie-down for restraining merchandise on the pallet body is connected to the winch. In a preferred method of using the pallet, a plurality of such pallets are disposed inside a vehicle with the pallets defining a surface which substantially spans the width of the floor of the vehicle and on which a delivery person can stand to access merchandise on the pallets. The delivery person can remove merchandise from the pallets while remaining inside the vehicle and then can move the merchandise to outside the vehicle without having to perform any lifting. As a result, sickness of delivery persons due to exposure to the weather during delivery and injuries due to lifting of merchandise can be decreased.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method and device for transporting materials from a shipping end to a receiving end. The device is a slip sheet formed from a flat sheet of material having a flat portion with four side edges. One of the side edges has a compressible tab portion that extends outwardly therefrom. The compressible tab portion has an elliptical lip and an upper lip that forms a convex air foil-type cross-sectional area. The compressible tab portion is canted upwardly from a plane defined by the flat portion of the slip sheet. The slip sheet can be used in combination with a captive pallet to transport materials. Further, a method of transporting materials is disclosed whereby the shipping and receiving ends house the captive pallet whereby only the slip sheet is transported by a push-pull or fork-lift type truck.
