  • Patent number: 10557276
Abstract: In a mobile stage system, a pair of hydraulic actuators at each end of the stage, in combination with certain structural elements, provides all of the necessary movement to transition the mobile stage system from the transport position to a deployed position, i.e., raise the roof and deploy an outer deck panel of the stage. The roof includes a first upper panel and a second upper panel, which rotate upward while the outer deck panel rotates downward. The upper deck panels of the mobile stage are automatically locked into place when in the deployed position by way of the linkage members connecting the outer deck panel to the upper panels.

A biasing device having a first and a second extremity is disposed within the tubular member so that the first extremity of the biasing device abuts against the first end of the tubular member. A piston having a first and a second termination is slidably disposed within the tubular member so that the first termination of the piston abuts against the second extremity of the biasing device such that the piston is urged by the biasing device axially away from the first end of the tubular member. A door engaging fastener is rigidly secured to the first end of the tubular member such that in use of the device, the door engaging fastener is disposed between the door and the first end of the tubular member.

  • Patent number: 6425220
Abstract: A continuity tie for providing both tension and compression resistance to externally induced movement of building structural members. A central body member is provided with a plurality of bolt mounting apertures in a staggered pattern and a pair of end plates having a rod aperture. One embodiment employs a tubular central body member having a hollow interior; another embodiment employs a generally U-shaped central portion with flanking flanges. Both embodiments can be mounted to building structural members separated by an intervening building structural member, with the continuity ties being secured together by means of a single rod arranged in the rod apertures in each continuity tie and secured in place by means of nuts. The staggered bolt patterns reduce the probability of mounting all bolts in a defect region of a timber building element. The hollow tube embodiment is symmetric and cannot be installed backwards. The rod aperture may be centered or offset from the central axis of the continuity tie.

Abstract: A kit for variably positioning an antenna housing (20) and a transmitter housing (18) in a subsurface enclosure (10) with a utility meter (15) and a meter register (16) includes a bracket (30) which is rotatable with the antenna housing (20) to a selected position within 360° of rotation, and then secured with fasteners (39) to the stem (22) of the antenna housing (20). The kit also includes a spacer (23) which is held between the top flange (31) of the bracket (30) and an underside of the pit lid (13). The bracket (30) also has a depending flange (32) for mounting the transmitter assembly (18) in a suspended position from the antenna housing (20) in either a horizontal or vertical orientation to better utilize available space in the pit enclosure (10).

  • Patent number: 6276103
Abstract: A partition includes at least two vertical posts with upper and lower beams having opposite ends thereof interconnecting the vertical posts to define when in an assembled condition, a rigid panel frame having a substantially open interior. The panel frame defines a vertical dimension. At least one cover panel is configured to enclose at least a portion of the open interior of the panel frame, and is removably mounted on the panel frame to readily access the open interior thereof. The cover panel defines an interior surface and a center portion spaced-apart from the posts. A cover panel brace is connected with the upper beam, and has an outer surface abutting the interior surface of the cover panel to support the cover panel adjacent the center portion to prevent flexing of the cover panel. The cover panel brace is longitudinally extensible to accommodate variations of the vertical dimension between the upper and lower beams.
