Abstract: The present invention relates to a sucker and an adhesion arrow having the same. More particularly, the present invention provides a sucker that can be attached, instead of a needle, to an arrow for a toy arrow shooter. The sucker of the present invention is formed with an annular projection on an adhesion surface of the sucker. Thus, even when the sucker collides against a target at a high speed, the sucker can be prevented from bouncing back from the target due to a repulsive force generated from the collision and thus securely adhere to the target. Further, even though the sucker of the present invention flies and collides against the target at a certain angle, the sucker can easily adhere to the target. Further, the sucker is made of a soft material so that a repulsive force can be smaller than an adhesion force when the sucker collides against the target.

Abstract: A suction cup removably attached to a housing lifts and moves an object. A venturi removably attached to the housing provides a vacuum effect to secure the suction cup to the object. The venturi includes a pair of opposing ears. When the venturi is inserted into a venturi hole of the housing, the ears compress a pin. When the venturi is rotated to an attached position, the ears do not contact the pin, and a spring biases the pin outwardly to secure the venturi to the housing. The pin is coupled to a button on the housing that can be slid to move the pin inwardly to allow rotation and removal of venturi.

  • Patent number: 6588718
Abstract: A resilient suction cup includes a body having an outer lip and a centrally located stem. The stem includes a substantially bell shaped stop and a plurality of expandable bellows. When the suction cup is positioned on an object, a vacuum source withdraws air from a cavity formed by the body. As the air is withdrawn by the vacuum source, the plurality of bellows collapse, and the outer lip forms a tight seal against the object. As the plurality of bellows collapse, the lower surface of the stop contacts the plurality of bellows, which further pushes against an upper surface of body, preventing the suction cup from being over-compressed while the vacuum source withdraws air from the cavity.

  • Patent number: 6554241
Abstract: A vacuum device for attaching an object to a surface, comprising a body fixable to the object and a piston connected to the body along a first sealing contour, thereby defining with the body a first chamber. The piston has a protruding sealing lip adapted to contact the surface along a second sealing contour, thereby defining with the surface a second chamber. The two chambers are connected to a source of vacuum, and are preferably in fluid communication with each other. The piston is movable with respect to the body by the action of the vacuum in the first chamber and/or by an external force due to the contact of the sealing lip with the surface. The sealing lip is urged to the surface by a first sealing force due to the action of the vacuum in the second chamber. The vacuum device further comprises a spring connected to the piston and the body so as to deform when the piston moves with respect to the body.

  • Patent number: 6425565
Abstract: A suction cup system facilitates the holding and manipulation of sensitive objects such as printing plates without scratching, marring or damaging surfaces of the objects. The system has a flexible thin sheet made of polyester or similar material. The flexible sheet is stretched over the flexible contact flange of a suction cup and supported in position by a relatively rigid frame. The flexible sheet contains at least one aperture communicating with the interior of the suction cup. The apparatus is brought into the vicinity of the object, with the exterior surface of the flexible sheet in contact with the object. A vacuum line acts to create suction force between the suction cup and the object via the aperture. As the vacuum increases, the flexible contact flange flattens and slides across the interior surface of the flexible sheet rather than the sensitive surface of the object. The movement of the flexible suction cup's flexible contact flange does not scratch, mar or damage the object.
