The serving utensils include a connecting shaft, a working portion including a functional member, such as a spoon, fork, or spatula, and a standing portion having support apertures. The handle includes a longitudinal bore for removably receiving the connecting shaft of one of the serving utensils, and a mounting member including arms having a tapered inner surface for receiving an edge of a plate. The stand includes a utensil suspending portion having pegs extending upwardly for selectively engaging the support apertures of one of the serving utensils to support said serving utensil upon the stand and a support portion for stabilizing the stand on a surface.

A first support arm is slidably and pivotally secured to the handle, and a second support arm is pivotally affixed to the handle. The first and second support arms are each connected to the handle via hinges that allow the support arms to rotate between folded and extended configurations. In the extended configuration, the handle of a utensil can be secured between the first and second support arms so as to hold the utensil in place above the rim of the pot or pan. In this way, the present invention eliminates the need for a user to place the utensil on a counter or stovetop and suspends the utensil above the pot or pan for convenient access by the user.

Abstract: Disclosed are support devices for an article that is adjacent to a sink margin, the support devices provide a storage solution for the article and hold the article in an upright position, thereby helping to prevent seepage and loss of soap fluids from the article and also directs sponge drainage either into a sink or a container. The devices work on either single of double bowl sinks, and on either under-mounted or drop-in sinks, or can be positioned adjacent to a sink on the countertop. The devices are easily movable, can be placed in multiple locations, can be easily cleaned and function without the need for suction cups or other attachments. When the article is being used, the devices are out of the way resulting in minimal conflict with the use and activity around the sink, thereby allowing maximum unimpeded use of the sink area.

On the upper inner side of each inserting slit, one or more magnets are disposed. A hole or a hollow is disposed on the upper inner side of each inserting holes, and the magnet is placed inside the hole or hollow on the upper inner side of the inserting slit. During and after the process of inserting the knives into the knife stand, the magnets will keep the cutting edges of the knives away from the bottom inner sides of the inserting slits, thereby effectively preventing the edges from becoming blunt, which is caused by their rubbing against the inserting slits. The frequency of sharpening the blades can be reduced and the lifespan of the knives can be extended. Further, this magnetic knife stand is more effective in protecting the knife stand from being cut or worn out by the knives. This invention enables the knives to be stored securely in the knife stand.
