Abstract: A book holder for a student type desk for occupying a limited area adjacent the back edge thereof and adapted for permanent mounting thereon for storage on the underside of the desk top by a unique pivotal mount between the base portion and book supporting portion of such holder.
Abstract: A holder for telephone directories and the like that is adapted to be mounted on a wall and that will store the directory in a concealed manner, but that will allow it to be readily displayed in usable fashion. A central carrier member for a directory slides up and down and pivots with respect to a carrier support member to store and display the directories and the like.
Abstract: An adjustable reading material supporter including a pair of unitary side members each formed of a vertical back portion terminating in a support end and a base portion terminating in a deflector guide end inclined in a spaced upward and rearward direction relative to said back portion and a rigid elongated back structure having a pair of spaced aligned ends each defining a passageway which rotatably clamps the back portion, one in each end, such that the support ends are on one side of the back structure and the base portions are on the opposite side of the back structure with the position of the guide ends being adjustable relative to the back structure to firmly support reading material between the support ends and back structure at the top and each of the deflector guide ends at the bottom during usage and wherein the position of the base portion and deflector guide ends can be laid substantially flat during storage is disclosed.
Abstract: A self-closing book holder and support has a back portion, for attachment to a support structure, and two spaced apart forwardly extending wings. Each wing has a forwardly and downwardly inclined top surface, an inner surface and a curved portion blending the top surface and inner surface. A book is normally supported from its top rear edge and hangs down between the wings, the top surfaces of the wings providing support surfaces for the book when held by a user in an open position. On release of the book, the inclination of the top surfaces of the wings and the curved portions, cause the book to close and pivot down between the wings. An enclosure can be provided which encloses the book when in a closed condition.
Abstract: This invention relates to a note pad assembly which is adapted to be placed in a use position on a vehicle seat for ready access by a driver, or passenger, when desired, and which can be easily stored in an out-of-the way non-use position. The note pad itself is attached to a backing sheet, the backing sheet, in turn, being affixed to the front edge of the vehicle seat. The backing sheet and note pad can then be folded forwardly, and affixed to the front face of the vehicle seat, in a completely out-of-the way, non-use position.
Abstract: A detachable music stand adapted to be carried on a stringed instrument comprising a main body or music note support member on which a music note or book is adapted to held in position, an angle member having one arm connected to the underside of said main body, a first bar member having one end pivotally connected to the other arm of said angle member, first suction cups supported at a midpoint between the opposite ends of said first bar member, a second bar member pivoted at one end to the other end of said first bar member for pivotal movement relative thereto and second suction cups supported at the other end of said second bar member.
