A gutter cleat extends from the gutter member and is inserted into the lower mounting hanger. The top hanger preferably includes an upper building mount member, a lengthwise support member and a gutter support projection. The face support bracket preferably includes an L-building mount member, an L-lengthwise support member and an L-vertical member. The lower mounting hanger includes a lower building mount member, and a lower hook portion. The Z-bracket preferably includes a top member, an angled member, and a bottom member. An alignment bar is used to suspend the lower mounting hanger from the building, so the lower mounting hanger may be fastened to the building. The top hanger, the face support bracket and the Z-bracket are assembled to each other and inserted into the gutter member.

Abstract: A rain gutter system comprises a covered rain gutter and a mounting bracket in the interior of the covered rain gutter for mounting the covered rain gutter to a structure. The covered rain gutter includes a trough portion and a cover portion with the trough portion including a lip and the cover portion including a nose configured to direct rainwater to flow toward the interior of the covered rain gutter. The mounting bracket includes a top portion, a bottom portion, and a central portion interconnecting the top and bottom portions. The top portion of the bracket can contact and support the cover portion. The bottom portion of the bracket can contact the lip of the trough portion, support the trough portion, and maintain separation between the nose and the lip of the covered rain gutter.

The front portion comprises a recess-engaging portion and an inclined segment abutting portion, the recess-engaging portion being insertable in the inward recess and abuttable against the front inverted hook member with the inclined segment abutting portion abutting against the outwardly inclined segment when the recess-engaging portion is inserted in the inward recess with a rear portion of the gutter guard extends spaced-apart from a bottom wall of the gutter even if unattached to a rear portion of the gutter. There is also provided a method for mounting a gutter assembly to a supporting surface.

The leaf protection support apparatus extends toward the roof of the building, and has a vertical member terminating in an angled member extending upward to support a leaf protection device.

The down spout receiver may include: a sealing flange, one or more siding channels, a tab and a snap-lock tab; and a down spout adapted to snap-fit to the down spout receiver, wherein the down spout includes a socket adapted to receive the tab and further includes a ramp surface and retainer adapted to receive the snap-lock tab.

Abstract: A roof-mounted actuator of a gutter dumping assembly is actuatable to rotate a gutter from an initial, upright position to a downwardly-facing dumped position in order to dump debris from the gutter. The actuator is coupled to the gutter support by a flexible structure so that, after the actuator positively engages a support for the gutter and forces it to an over-center position, the gutter falls to a dumped position under only the force of gravity.

Abstract: A gutter hanger system includes a gutter having an outer wall, an inner wall in spaced relation to the outer wall, and a base connecting the outer wall and the inner wall; a support surface supporting the inner wall; and a gutter hanger including opposing top and bottom ends, a coupling member located at the bottom end, and a retainer located at the top end. The gutter hanger is positioned intermediate the inner wall and the support surface, oriented in a downward direction, and the retainer is positioned atop the inner wall. A method for installing a gutter hanger system includes the steps of providing a gutter, providing a support surface to which an inner wall of the gutter is attached, inserting a gutter hanger intermediate the support surface and the inner wall of the gutter, and retaining a top end of the gutter hanger on the inner wall of the gutter.

Abstract: A raintrough support clip includes a generally cylindrical main body made from an elastically resilient material, and having a circumferential gap to facilitate mounting around an awning reel having a flexible valance sheet extending downward from the outer edge of the awning reel. The raintrough support clip also has an outrigger member extending outwardly from a lower region of the main body, with an upturned portion forming a generally U-shaped space between the outrigger and the main body. When a suitable number of the raintrough support clips are mounted along the length of the awning reel, the valance sheet may be readily deformed to form a rainwater drainage trough for receiving runoff from the awning. The drainage trough thus formed will carry runoff to one or both ends of the awning reel, thereby preventing the runoff from falling over the awning reel and forming a runoff curtain therebelow.

Abstract: System, device and method for providing screened protection to gutters from clogging debris. Protection is provided by using a panel that includes rain siphoning louvered technology. The louvers may be covered by a filter or screen. If the openings of the louvers are closed to a certain degree, a screen may be dispensed with. The panel is sloped such that debris rolls off a surface of the panel. Additionally, the louvered portion may be domed. The panel ends on one side in a locking mechanism that locks to an outer lip of the gutter and on the other side in a corrugated edge that fits under the overhang of the roof such that it need not be inserted under the shingles.

Abstract: This invention relates to safety anchors for roof workers and in particular to a gutter ladder anchor, a ridge anchor, a rafter anchor, and a truss anchor. In a one aspect the invention is a gutter ladder anchor formed from a metal plate, and comprising a flat base, having left, right, rear, and front ends; a fold at the front end of the base; one or more legs extending from the fold; a flange at the end of each leg, folded upwards; one or more holes located in each leg for mounting a vertical eye or a ladder location attachment; a first pattern of spaced apart holes through the base for fixing the anchor to a batten or purlin, said first pattern extending from the left end to the right end; and one or more holes through the flange of each leg for fixing the anchor to a gutter.

Abstract: A liquid dispersing device includes a relatively rigid thin perforated plate having a plurality of closely spaced minute openings or holes in the form of a fine mesh. A plurality of plates are mounted on brackets secured along a side wall of a structure in the path of liquid flowing over and downward from the upper end of the wall. The liquid passing through the holes is dispersed into fine droplets with minimum agglomeration. The angle of the plate and holes determine the direction in which the droplets are dispersed. Use of the perforated plates can eliminate the usual gutter and leader structures which remove rainwater from roofs of houses and can also provide more effective cooling when mounted along internal cooling tower walls.

Abstract: The invention relates to means and methods for maintaining a gutter assembly either in the upward, rain-gathering position or in the downward position under the eaves, where it can be cleaned with a water jet. In the downward position, the gutter assembly remains protected from snow and ice sliding from the roof. Brackets fixated to magnetic latches attached to the fascia support the gutter. Closed magnetic latches maintain the gutter assembly in the upward position. Open magnetic latches maintain the gutter assembly in the downward position. Transition from the upward to the downward position, or vice versa, is achieved from the ground by means of a hook and a U-shaped fork attached to a pole. If the gutter is left in the upward position in winter, snow and ice sliding from the roof will push it to the downward position without damaging it.

Abstract: This invention relates to capped gutter systems and more specifically the bracket which supports the gutter cap and onto which the gutter is mounted and affixed to the roofline. No gutter cap or screen can completely eliminate the introduction of debris into the gutter channel. The present invention meets the long felt need for a gutter system that inhibits the introduction of debris into the gutter channel and helps flush out debris that manages to accumulate in the gutter. The present invention utilizes a gutter bracket which pushes the front of the gutter down, thus forcing water and debris to collect along the front bottom edge. The act of creating a low point along the forward bottom edge of the gutter concentrates the debris in this low point and accelerates the flow of water due to the decrease in volume, thus increasing the amount of energy available within the channeled water for debris removal.

Mount components are attached to gutters by engaging the securing protuberance of the mount component with the gutter which creates tension between the gutter and the mount component. Rail components are assembled to the desired length using connector components and lights or signage are attached to a rail component using hooks. An insertion member is placed at each end of the assembled rail and the rail is guided through an opening in the mount component securing the lights or signage to the building.

The roof flange and rear plate are secured to the bracket spacers. The ventilation strip and the fascia plate are also secured to the bracket spacers.

A vertical portion of the gutter hanger extends vertically from the hanger portion and terminates in a top portion which provides support to a leaf protection device. Alternatively, the gutter hanger is constructed of a hanger portion, and a separate vertical portion which is contiguous with the top portion, and is also slidably attachable to the hanger portion.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a rotatable gutter support assembly that can rotate the gutter from an operational position where the gutter is used to collect and divert water from a roof, to a cleaning or rotated position in which the gutter is sufficiently rotated downwardly so that its inside may be accessed from ground level. The cleaning position then enables one to clean the gutter by using a suitable brush or even simply by hosing with water. The present invention also relates to a gutter system using the above assembly.

Abstract: A hanger bracket for a rainwater deflector in a gutter system comprises channels for holding heater cables, flanges and ribs to strengthen the bracket against bending, and a ledge that captures and holds the lip of a gutter without fasteners. Tabs on one side of the bracket engage a panel of the rainwater deflector, while a mounting hole on the other side of the bracket enables the bracket to be mounted to the fascia after the panel is affixed.

Abstract: Components for constructing and installing an awning and light support system to provide sun and weather protection to a window or door of a structure are disclosed. Included are a pair of uniquely-constructed bracket members having an L-shaped configuration used to removably secure horizontally-disposed supports and awning spars to provide a frame to support the awning material or skin. Also disclosed is an awning support structure comprising a support channel that extends along the top of an awning and supports a corresponding member attached to an awning frame. In some instances, the awning may be further supported by awning projection props secured between the awning frame and the building at a lower portion of the awning.

Abstract: A gutter system is provided to guard a gutter from the entry of leaves, debris, pine needles, twigs, and the like, and to prevent water and animals from entry. In at least one embodiment, a hanger bracket is configured to secure a gutter to a building, and configured to secure an upper gutter cover and a lower gutter cover, in a tiered, stair-step manner, to the gutter. In another embodiment a gutter system is provided that includes a gutter, an upper gutter cover, a lower gutter cover, and a hanger bracket configured to secure the gutter to a building having a roof and rainwater runoff, and configured to secure the upper gutter cover and the lower gutter cover, in a tiered, stair-step manner, to the gutter. In yet another embodiment a method for protecting gutters from debris other than rainwater runoff is provided.
