Abstract: An umbrella mounting system comprises a base having a top surface and a bottom surface, a first side edge and a second side edge; a first base aperture disposed on the base toward the first side edge of the base and a second base aperture disposed on the base toward the second side edge of the base; a cylindrical mounting shaft having a first end with an opening and a second end, the opening of the first end of the mounting shaft functions to hold a shaft of an umbrella that is inserted into the opening, wherein the mounting shaft is attaches the top surface of the base and extends upwardly therefrom.

Abstract: A universal post having a tapered elongated member with a proximal end and a distal end such that the proximal end is larger in size than the distal end of the elongated member for receiving one of a trash receptacle and a mail box thereon. A stabilizer is disposed orthogonal to and radially extending from the distal end of the elongated member. The stabilizer being substantially greater in length than width for placement on a ground surface so that a weighted member, received thereupon the stabilizer together with the stabilizer, supports the elongated member in a substantially vertical, stationary position with respect to the ground surface. The universal post capable of use on a flat paved surface and on a flat unpaved surface with the addition of a spike. The universal post further usable as a movable fence.

Abstract: A portable beverage container stand includes an elongated pointed shaft, a flat cage plate fixed to one end of the shaft and extending laterally outward, a plurality of holes in the cage plate configured to receive beverage containers, a flat shelf plate below the cage plate fixed to the shaft and extending laterally to support containers placed in the cage plate holes, and a push member adjacent the shaft bottom for applying foot pressure for inserting the shaft into the ground. Alternatively, the shaft may also be mounted on a base component having a rectangular bottom frame, with an upwardly extending bridge and brace projected therefrom, with holes therein adapted to cooperatively receive and contain the shaft therein.

Abstract: A telescopic umbrella with integral anchor which has parallel dual spikes integrated into the support shaft and a parallelepiped foot pad member disposed in a position perpendicular to the dual spikes upon which a user steps to insert and anchor the spikes into the ground thereby securing the umbrella canopy in place. An alignment tab on an upper attachment end of the support shaft and an alignment groove on an opposite securement end of the support shaft assist in the insertion of the upper attachment end into the securement end while aligning and engaging a locking protrusion on the upper attachment end with one of the holes on the securement end to adjust the height of the support shaft. A protective cover is also provided to removably contain and secure the spikes and the foot pad member during period of non-use to prevent personal injury due to accidental contact therewith.

Abstract: An umbrella anchoring device comprising a support dowel and a generally truncated cone shaped umbrella stop, with two opposing surfaces, an angled wall connecting the outer perimeter of the surfaces, and a hollow passage through the vertical axis thereof which is complementary to the cross section of the support dowel, wherein the umbrella anchoring device is used to support an umbrella with at least a partially hollow shaft. A method of using the anchoring device, where the support dowel is placed generally vertically in the ground, the umbrella stop is placed over the end thereof and slid so that the wider surface is at ground level and the narrower surface is below, and an umbrella is placed over the support dowel, with the end resting on the umbrella stop.

Abstract: A knock down flag pole assembly is provided including a base, a ferrule, and an elongate post. The base may include a coupling with a pocket having a coupling member or portion configured to removably couple to the ferrule. The coupling secures the ferrule to the base, but also permits the flag pole to be knocked out from the base.

Abstract: An integrated fishing rod holder kit incorporates a grip coupler that replaces a butt cap on a preexisting fishing rod that has a hollow rod blank having a void space that extends linearly through from the butt of the rod through a rear grip end and forward through the grip area and reel seat area of the rod towards the fishing rod tip. The grip coupler is securely fixed to the rear grip end coaxially and preferably about the rod blank butt end that is revealed after the butt cap is removed. The grip coupler has external threads on its outer surface for engaging a coupler engagement collar of a rod holder body.

Abstract: A marker for marking a ground surface is disclosed, and includes a shaft having a bottom end and a top end. The shaft includes an insertion portion for insertion into the ground. The insertion portion is located at the bottom end of the shaft. The shaft includes a mast portion for extending above the ground surface when the insertion portion is at least partially inserted into the ground. The shaft includes an engagement portion located between the insertion portion and the mast portion with the insertion portion being located between the engagement portion and the bottom end. The engagement portion is configured to be engaged and pushed to cause insertion of the shaft into the ground.

Abstract: A turkey decoy for receiving and supporting a real or artificial turkey tail fan is disclosed herein. The turkey decoy can be configured in a stake-supported configuration where the turkey tail fan is supported on a stake and remotely movable by a hunter operating the turkey decoy. Alternatively, the turkey decoy can be configured in a clamp-supported configuration where the turkey tail fan is supported on a clamp that a hunter can hold or attach to a variety of structures in the hunting environment.

Abstract: Described herein are various embodiments of a tower foundation system for an above-ground tower. For example, according to one representative embodiment, a tower for supporting a structure above the ground includes a foundation and a second support column section. The foundation includes a first support column section and a plurality of arms that extend radially outward away from an outer surface of the first support column. Additionally, the foundation includes a plurality of elongate anchors coupled to the plurality of arms. The first and second support column sections include each include a plurality of engagement elements engageable with each other to splice the first and second support column sections together. More specifically, the second support column section is insertable into and rests upon the first support column section such that the plurality of engagement elements engage each other.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an anchoring device that includes a top plate and a bottom plate. The anchoring device includes a plurality of spacers extending between and connecting the top plate and the bottom plate. Finally, the anchoring device includes an attachment mechanism located on an opposite surface of the top plate as the plurality of spacers, the attachment mechanism configured for removably attaching a pole extending from the anchoring device and connected to an umbrella.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an anchoring device that includes a top plate and a bottom plate. Abstract: A marker installation system comprises a marker comprising a shaft having a bottom end and a top end, and including an insertion portion, a mast portion, and an engagement portion located between the insertion portion and the mast portion. The engagement portion is configured to resist further insertion of the shaft into the ground beyond the insertion portion. The system includes a marker installation apparatus including a magazine assembly defining a magazine space in which the marker is positioned. The magazine space has a push position in the magazine space for receiving the marker. The apparatus includes a push assembly mounted on the magazine assembly to engage the engagement portion of the marker when the marker is located in the push position. The push assembly pushes the marker from the push position of the magazine assembly when the push assembly is actuated.

Abstract: Slam it systems is a ground-planted anchor member for securably supporting pole devices having various size widths. In a preferred embodiment, the anchor member comprises an upper portion comprising a pole receiver and a thumb screw, a middle portion comprising a slide shaft wherein a slide hammer is concentrically mounted thereto, and a bottom portion comprising a flanged spike. Concentrically disposed to a proximate end of the slide shaft is a keeper and concentrically disposed to a distal end of the slide shaft is a hammer disk plate. The device allows for a lowered center of gravity hammering means, increasing safety and efficiency in-use. A pole device, such as a tiki torch, umbrella, canopy, and the like may then be inserted into the pole receiver and securely held in place by the thumb screw.

Abstract: A bracket for a post comprises a body adapted for being located at the post and at least one projection extending out from the body. The projection is adapted for retaining thereat at least one of a ground securing pin and an end of a tensioning rod. A post securement system comprises the bracket and at least one of the ground securing pin and tensioning rod. A method employing the bracket locates the post in ground, locates the bracket along the post and positions at least one of the ground securing pin and tensioning rod to be retained at the bracket.

Abstract: A marker installation apparatus is disclosed for inserting a marker of the type having shaft with a bottom end for inserting into a ground surface and an engagement portion of the shaft separated from the bottom end by an insertion portion of the shaft. The apparatus includes a magazine assembly defining a magazine space configured to receive at least one marker. The magazine space has a push position in the magazine space for receiving the at least one marker. The apparatus further comprises a push assembly mounted on the magazine assembly. The push assembly is configured to engage the engagement portion of the shaft of the marker located in the push position and push the marker from the magazine assembly when the push assembly is actuated.

Abstract: A garden item hanger assembly. The assembly has an upright with a first and second portion. The first end of the first portion and the second end of the second portion can be connected together by using a medial connection portion which provides a flush surface. The assembly also has a ground engaging stake with a self centering socket and a plurality of set screws to set the upright. The ground engaging stake utilizes a plurality of moment resisting surfaces to maintain an upright position against both a first and second moment about the ground engaging stake applied by the item load.

Abstract: An anchoring system to lock posts into housings mounted in the ground, or to lock pipes into housings within holes through walls or foundations uses plastic collets to match post outer profiles to inner housing profiles. The collets have two gently tapered circumferential areas which lock into corresponding tapered areas in the housing. Keys help to lock the post into the collet and in turn into the housing. Customized collets match incompatible posts and housings. The anchored post may be released for re-use, with a security release system that requires the use of special tools.

Abstract: A beach umbrella stand is provided including a foot operated drive assembly. A pole of a beach umbrella stand has a hollow interior portion housing the foot operated drive assembly. The foot operated drive assembly includes a ratchet assembly operated by a foot pedal. The ratchet assembly further includes an auger mounted at least partially within the pole, for driving into the sand. The ratchet assembly is positioned for operation of a pedal by a user's foot.

Abstract: A fishing rod carrier and holder device holds a plurality of fishing rods during fishing activity and houses the fishing rods when the device is being carried. The fishing rod carrier and holder device includes a support member having a spiked portion appointed for insertion into a ground surface. The support member includes a first horizontal plate having at least two rod holder apertures that define an aperture housing interrupted by an entry port. Additionally, the support member is provided with a second horizontal plate having at least two rod receiving cavities arranged in parallel longitudinal relation to the rod holder apertures of the first horizontal plate. The fishing rod carrier and holder device has at least one handle portion arranged to allow the fishing rod carrier and holder device to be carried with the fishing rods therein housed.

Abstract: A device installed at the base of a vertical post used to stabilize the post in an upright vertical plumb condition and prevent the post from leaning. The device is comprised of a flat base (1) manufactured in two halves so that when placed together has a geometric shape opening (3) of the same size of the post the device is to be installed around. The device base contains multiple secondary penetrations (2) of the cross-sectional shape of the anchoring stakes (9) to be used. The device is installed at the post base (8) by placing the two halves around the post and joining together at along a common line (5). The two halves are affixed together using a mending plate (7) and screws (6) or other type methods not shown. The anchoring stakes (9) are then inserted through the secondary penetrations (2) to affix the device to the ground.

Abstract: A ground securing rod includes a hollow metal rod (1), whose drive-in end has a flat helical section whose diameter is slightly larger than that of the bar (2), terminating in a tip (3). The section is made with the body of the rod (1) itself by a reduction in its diameter in combination with stamping of the rod in order to flatten it, whereby it is twisted until the helical section is formed, which has a cone-shaped reinforcement at its base (4), while at its upper end the rod (1) has an attached upper reinforcing piece (5), having a seat (6) for a torsion lever (7) that can be inserted into a through opening (8) located at the upper end of the rod and is positioned in the area covered by the upper reinforcing piece (5).

Abstract: A kit for suspending a sign is disclosed herein. The kit includes first and second column anchors operable to be mounted in the ground. Each column anchor has a plurality of fins facing in different directions from one another and a conical tip. The kit also includes first and second columns individually receivable in one of the first and second column anchors and selectively removable. Each of the columns has a plurality of through-apertures. The kit also includes a plurality of sets of eye-bolts and nuts, each individually receivable in one of the plurality of through-apertures. The kit also includes a plurality of cable members having latches or S-hooks at both ends and a stretchable member extending between the latches or S-hooks.

Abstract: A portable fishing pole holder is a device for supporting a fishing pole without manually holding the pole. It is a substantially “Y” shaped frame which further comprises a support and an anchor. The support contains the fishing pole. The anchor secures the fishing pole holder. Optionally, the fishing pole holder includes a bridging member to more securely contain the fishing pole. The an anchor for securing the in which the fishing pole is placed while fishing. The other end is used to anchor the device. Optionally, it has members to more securely support the fishing pole or to more securely anchor the device.

Abstract: A footing form for supporting posts or other upright structural members of buildings and the like includes a primary web, and a plurality of structural webs extending upwardly from the primary web. The webs include structural webs that extend radially outward from a center portion of the base web, and a plurality of ring-like concentric webs that provide additional structural support. The webs form a plurality of upwardly-opening pockets, and apertures through the base web provide for drainage of water and the like from the upwardly-opening pockets. The footing form may have a one-piece molded construction. The footing form provides sufficient support to thereby eliminate the need for concrete or the like to support the posts.

Abstract: A post anchor/anchor adapter system is unitary cast or machined steel or the like. An anchor/adaptor alone is driven alone into a hole cut in in-place concrete. The system includes an anchor extension tube for driving into soft soil. The inventive anchor/adaptor has a body in the form of an elongate square tube having radius-curved corners vertically driven into a round receiving hole, forming creases and a secure anchor. The tube has an upper female portion for a post and a lower female portion for an extender and is divided by a horizontal plug wall integral with the tube structure. The lower female portion of the anchor/adapter tapers outward towards its lower open end allowing for an interference fit with the driven tube acting as an anchor. The female portion upper end has crescent-shaped tabs defining a disk sized to plug the drilled hole.

Abstract: A device is provided configured to be used as an anchor for an umbrella. In one aspect, there is provided a device. The device may include a holder including a hollow interior, a first end configured to receive an umbrella pole, a bottom configured to allow the umbrella pole to rest, and a second end. The device may also include a coupler and a platform. The platform may be configured to support the device (e.g., to prevent the device from tipping, falling, or blowing away when an umbrella is inserted into the device). The platform may be coupled to the holder using the coupler. The platform may include a first receptacle and a second receptacle. The first and second receptacles may be located at distal ends on the bottom of the platform. A first spike may be configured to be detachably inserted into the first receptacle, a second spike may be configured to be detachably inserted into the second receptacle.

Abstract: A system for anchoring a parking curb is provided which may include an anchoring rod and a plate. The anchoring rod bisects the plate and is parallel to the thickness of the plate. The anchoring rod may bisect the plate through a center point of the plate. The plate may be secured to the anchoring rod. In some embodiments, the anchoring rod and plate can be manufactured as one piece. The plate may be of any suitable shape, including square and rectangular.

Abstract: A post anchor includes a ground engaging portion in the form of fins and a post receiving portion that has an oversized top and angled, linear segment or circular impressions below. The impressions form a clamp when downward force is applied to seat the post that is inserted into the post receiving portion. Adjustment in plumb can be made by moving the top of the post to the desired location and inserting hardware at the top edge of the receiving portion. A damaged post can be replaced by removing the hardware, replacing the post and reinserting the connection hardware.

Abstract: A deployable and stowable bow caddy has an upper support section with a pair of horizontal members for supporting a bow without damage to any delicate components extending from the bow. The upper support is supported by a lower section which may be sub-divided into further smaller sections for more convenient storage and carriage. The support components may preferably be hollow tubular construction for strength and light weight. The handle sections will preferably be coated with a protective elastomeric coating which will not only prevent any damage to the bow, but will prevent the bow from sliding while the bow is being supported.

Abstract: A marker post system for marking the location underground pipelines includes marker post holder which removably holds a marker post. The marker post holder is configured for releasable connection with an underground tube. Removal of the holder from the tube provides manual access to the interior chamber of the tube to facilitate cleaning the interior chamber and removing a broken segment of a marker post which otherwise would be difficult without digging up the tube. A substantially watertight seal is preferably provided between the holder and marker post to prevent water from entering the interior chamber of the underground tube.

Abstract: A tool support apparatus includes a body adapted to be secured to an end of a handle of a tool. A ground piercing member is pivotally secured to the body for pivotal movement between an operative position and a stored position. In the operative position, the ground piercing member protrudes past the end of the handle, such that the ground piercing member can be inserted into the ground to support the handle of the tool in a substantially upright orientation. In the stored position, the ground piercing member is oriented substantially parallel to the handle so as not to interfere with the normal usage of the tool.

Abstract: A geomatics pole support comprises a body and pole engaging members for connecting the support to a geomatics pole so that the body is retained by the pole engaging members projecting generally laterally outwardly from a longitudinal axis of the pole. The body further includes a terrain engagement surface adapted to engage a ground surface and to hold at least a portion of the pole in a stable position out of contact with the ground surface.

Abstract: A roof top structure support has a flat bottom rigid base to be positioned on a roof and spread the load supported by the support substantially evenly over the surface of the base in contact with the roof. A tower rises from the base and includes a slot across the top thereof and a bore therein extending downwardly from the bottom of the slot and adapted to receive a threaded rod therein. The slot in the top of the tower is sized to receive a strut therein. A bolt extending through the strut and into the bore secures the strut to the support. Struts and other structures can be supported above the tower and slot by threaded rod such as “all thread” screwed into and extending from the bore.

Abstract: A fishing pole holder can be inserted into the ground into a variety of types of dirt, soil and sand, can receive and maintain the handle of a fishing pole, and be removed from the ground and easily transported when not in use. The fishing pole holder includes a first end having a receiving cavity configured to receive the stock of a fishing pole, and a second end having a plurality of teeth for insertion into the ground, so as to securely anchor the second end into the ground.

Abstract: A post sleeve includes a reinforced concrete body preformed around a liner that defines a cavity extending longitudinally within the body, sized to receive a post. Standoff ribs run lengthwise within the cavity and extend inward from inner walls of the cavity. A post in the cavity is supported laterally by the standoff ribs. Drain channels between the ribs permit water to flow past the post and exit the cavity via a lower aperture. A drain tube is coupled to the lower aperture, and extends downward where it is covered with gravel at the bottom of a post hole. Concrete is poured around the post sleeve in the hole. The cavity is adaptable to receive posts of varying sizes, and at various depths. A collar closes a space between the post and the top of the cavity, permitting air circulation within the cavity while shedding water and substantially preventing insects from entering the cavity.

Abstract: Overall, this particular invention is a universal pole and post anchoring system used to support and stabilize various types of poles and well as posts while buried in the ground. What makes this particular invention very unique is that this anchoring system is simply molded as one piece device. The device is comprised, primarily, of a main tube with a helical auger screw bit and a DC electric motor to turn the screw. A user of said device would extend the helical auger screw bit, engage the DC electric motor, and allow the action of the DC electric motor to secure the helical auger screw into a malleable surface.

Abstract: A rod holding apparatus has a tube having ground penetrating stakes at one end for attaching into the earth for removably supporting a fishing pole or umbrella or the like. The rod holding apparatus incorporates a slide hammer for driving the stake into the ground.

Abstract: A fishing rod holder has control plate attached to an elongated shaft with a longitudinal axis. One end of the shaft is configured to penetrate the ground or otherwise be secured to render the holder stationary and immoveable, even when a fish takes the bait. The control plate has a plurality of adjustment openings for receiving stop members. The fishing rod holder also has a tubular rod holder component which is pivotably attached to the control plate. The rod holder component can thus be positioned in a variety of angles in relation to the longitudinal axis of the shaft, by pivoting the rod holder component so that it contacts a stop member extending through one of the adjustment openings. When so positioned and a fish is hooked onto the line extending from the rod, the fish can be brought in without having to remove the fishing rod, which continues to be pivotably supported by the holder component. Upon release of tension on the line, the holder component automatically resets to its original position.

Abstract: An item securing apparatus and method for securing at least one item in a ground surface at a beach or other location is provided. The item securing apparatus includes a ground engaging member that is insertable into the ground surface and a locking housing that removably attaches to the ground engaging member. The locking housing is secured to the ground engaging member with one or more locking devices. An item securing mechanism attaches the item to the ground engaging member which secures the item to the ground surface.

Abstract: A method for reinstating a pole standing in ground comprising, abutting an inner surface of a sleeve against an outer surface of the pole so as to have a lower portion of the sleeve penetrating the ground and an upper portion of the sleeve projecting above the ground, and sliding a secondary member against an outer surface of the sleeve so that the secondary member locates against the sleeve and projects above the ground and into the ground, wherein the construction is such that the sleeve and secondary member located against the sleeve jointly form a bridging beam incorporating a box section reinforcement of the bridging beam. The formation of this box section substantially improves the strength of the bridging beam above what would be expected from the strength of the individual components.

Abstract: A multi-purpose beach anchor provides a sturdy base for at least one of a small, medium or large sized beach umbrella as well as for an optional table and an optional tubular holder for a fishing rod. The rigidity of the anchor is secured by an integral hand operable slide hammer mechanism for driving the spike element into the sand for an optimal distance straight down. This slide hammer is used by sliding up and down over a tubular support member atop the spike, wherein the spike has an integral strike collar. A few short strokes of the weighted slide hammer element drives the spike into the sand or other terrain. A hand screw is then used to lock the hammer weight to the tubular support and the spike rigidly. An umbrella shaft can then be directly slid over the support tube and locked in place.

Abstract: A golf club stand to prevent the forgetting of spare clubs by standing them upright in a noticeable position when they are carried to a shot but are not used. The club stand folds into a compact configuration resembling a golf club for convenient carrying in a gold bag when not in use. The device generally comprises a shaft with a grip-handle similar to that of a golf club, and a sharp point at the distal end of the shaft to allow the club to be inserted into the ground. In addition, a dual-pivot arm is secured to the upper end of the shaft for supporting the handle(s) of one or more golf clubs. The ends of the dual-pivot arm are formed as cradles and may be pivoted into a transverse in-line position relative to the shaft.

The rigidity of the anchor is secured by an integral hand operable slide hammer mechanism for driving the spike element into the sand for an optimal distance straight down. This slide hammer is used by sliding up and down over a tubular support member atop the spike, wherein the spike has an integral strike collar. A few short strokes of the weighted slide hammer element drives the spike into the sand or other terrain. A hand screw is then used to lock the hammer weight to the tubular support and the spike rigidly. An umbrella shaft can then be directly slid over the support tube and locked in place.

Abstract: A post positioning device includes a collar defining a post positioning aperture therein for receiving a post; a stabilizer for removably securing the collar about the post; and a positioning system operably connected to the collar having a first angular state and a second angular state relative to the collar; wherein the positioning system is configured to adjust from the first angular state into contact with the post to maintain the post plumb in a hole in the second angular state.

Abstract: A beach umbrella stand is provided including a foot operated drive assembly. A pole of a beach umbrella stand has a hollow interior portion housing the foot operated drive assembly. The foot operated drive assembly includes a ratchet assembly operated by a foot pedal. The ratchet assembly further includes a an auger mounted at least partially within the pole, for driving into the sand. The ratchet assembly is positioned for operation of a pedal by a user's foot.

Abstract: The bracket comprises an upright tube and a cleat connected to one side of the tube. The cleat has a pair of horizontal, transversely extending horns protruding from the tube. In use, a pair of the brackets are pivotally mounted on the upper ends of the shafts of embedded screw piles bracketing a pipeline. A flexible tie-down strap, having loop ends, extends across the pipeline. The loop ends each releasably engage one of the brackets. Each loop end extends over the bracket tube and is trapped beneath the cleat, so as to bear against the side surface of the tube lower end. The loop end and bracket can readily be engaged or disengaged in the field.

Abstract: A tubular staff has sections which can be collapsed one into the other down to a very small size. The sections are held together by peripheral clamps snap-tightened by a small lever. There is a ground spike at the bottom of the staff which itself can be removed and stowed within the staff. A firearm cradle can be on top and one end of a small elbowed rod goes either into the top of the staff or into the cradle, if one's there. The rod's other end attaches to a hole in a hunting bow to support it until game arrives. Instead of the elbowed rod, an accessory supporting structure can likewise be set into the staff or cradle. The linkage of the accessory support is a bendable length of ball and socket joints available from certain industrial sources so that the camera angle or telescope can be properly manipulated.

Abstract: The sprinkler anchor is designed to anchor and support a convention sprinkler head having a ground spike and includes an upper support plate and a hollow, tapered stake. The upper support plate and the stake form a continuous aperture for receiving the ground spike of the sprinkler head, with the stake being configured for engaging the ground. The sprinkler anchor may further include at least two linear channels, one or more hollow flanges, a plurality of anchoring studs, and a cap. The linear channels, hollow flanges, and anchoring studs are provided to further help the sprinkler anchor in receiving the sprinkler head and securing it into the ground. The cap is designed to cover the sprinkler anchor when not in use in order to prevent debris from entering.
